《The Noble Curse of Ookami [Previously Titled: CLOSER]》The Mask Reveals a Disgusting Face

After kicking Kentarou's room door, Yato was petrified seeing the inside of the room. Kentarou's resting place was in disarray, with dirty floors; cupboards and the tables were destroyed; and even blood smeared all over the walls. Kentarou himself wasn't there though, all that remained was just his bloodied hoodie on the floor.
Yato kneeled down, reaching for the hoodie and holding it just like he held his dying brother a long time ago. He couldn't hold his tears. If he jumped directly onto the balcony a moment ago, Kentarou might've been saved. Once again he failed to protect whom he cared for.
*thud*
A noise could be heard from the balcony.
It was him, the same figure... the same bloody figure as he saw that one time.
Akazaru.
This time, he could see him clearly. He was wearing a hoodie and a mask to hide his true face, both of these clothings were soaked in blood. As the moonlight once again hit him, Yato could see clearly that he was holding a kitchen knife dripping fresh blood.
His adrenaline was pumped to maximum, as tears fell down his cheeks, he knew... what he must do at that point. The thing he failed to do all those months ago. He slowly stands up, gripping his zodiac sword. Lightning could be seen circulating his body, only this time, the lighting was dark blue, as opposed to the usual bright orange.
He could sense that Akazaru was sneering on him, grinning behind his mask, as if to challenge him. He believed that he remembered that moment, the moment when Yato couldn't do anything but cry, but this time is different.
"I'm... not gonna let you escape again..." Yato uttered his determination, with even more lightning orbiting his body, causing an electrical malfunction on the entire building. Akazaru then leapt from the balcony to other roofs around the dorm building, a deadly chase then followed.

Rin was around and noticed the two hopping around causing a light show across the area. She swiftly tried to find Kyuuto and his team.
----
Yato hunted Akazaru across the residence area where the inhabitants of the islands were actually sleeping, and caused even more malfunction as he stepped from one roof to another. Yato was fast, Akazaru was even faster. He couldn't even close in on him without actually using his element to boost his speed.
As the time went on, his rage became stronger. The sky above the island was starting to be surrounded by dark thick clouds, the chase continued.
Akazaru then headed into the woods, obscured by the trees. Yato used even more of his element to bolt himself forward, even summoning a lighting strike to take the monkey down... he missed.
Concentrating even more power, Yato conjured a focused thunderbolt from his blade. After calculating his target's movements, he struck Akazaru right as he was about to hop from one tree to another.
The monkey then fell onto a clearing near the coast, the same clearing as the one when Kotetsu transformed into a demon. Akazaru suffered from seizures as the lightning directly hit him.
Yato landed some distance away from him, preparing to fight albeit still terrified of the memories.
Akazaru began to move, revealing his face behind his hoodie and his mask as rain began to pour down to earth. He was----
Yato jolted back the moment he saw who's behind that mask. His synapses seemed to just stop firing for a moment. All of his memories came back in an instant. But his rage continued on.
"Yato---
please... let me talk---" a shuddered voice could be heard among the raging clouds.
Kentarou tried to stand after getting hit with his comrades' thunderbolt right on the chest. His bloodied hoodie is now wet from the pouring rain. The sky appeared to also be crying.

Yato, with emotions unable to be described in any words, burdened by dark memories of the killings while simultaneously disbelieving his own teammate to be the one he's been chasing his all life, began to call upon the lighting from the heavens.
"There's nothing to talk about... you--- killed my family..." Yato sobbed as he was fully electrified, the ground around him formed a mini crater with every lighting strike, even though he remembered the time they fought together, he couldn't control his anger, "... and countless others… you are a murderer!!"
Yato dived towards Kentarou with blinding speed, with his fully-charged zodiac sword powered by lightning with the intent to kill.
Kentarou tried to block his deadly attack with only his knife, but managed to hold his force until his feet nearly fell to a cliff behind him.
"I am not... a murderer... it's... it's not me!!---" with his earth element, Kentarou pushed Yato back with the rock beneath him, and managed to block most of his strikes with nearby boulders.
Yato, floating a few dozen meters from the ground, provides a clear sight for Kyuuto and others to chase them down the woods. He even could be seen from the school.
Yato struck back with a sharp charged-nosedive and caused a huge explosion as their blades met. A plume of smoke could be seen from the spot, creating an even bigger crater than what Yato just did with his charging state.
Miraculously, Kentarou survived. Their blades were still tugging on each other on that deep crater. Kentarou was now grinning like a maniac, while Yato was noticeably struggling to press him down.
He grinned even wider.
