《The Noble Curse of Ookami [Previously Titled: CLOSER]》Reunion

Rin woke up about 7 hours after the initial fall, by then, we had already arrived back at the school. Many lives were lost in this mission both from Oras and Jaegers. The forces of the demons were so difficult to match.
"Where... wha...?" Rin started to regain her consciousness. The others are out resting, it was just me who waited right next to her. She looked at me, then immediately looked away, holding her left upper-arm, covering her Ookami symbol.
"I'm glad you survived that fall," I smiled at her, then stood up from my chair, "is there anything you want me to bring here?"
Rin quietly shook her head, she then looked at the window blankly. I thought it's better to leave her for now, letting her rest. But the moment I walked away from her, she called my name.
"Thank you," she continues, still looking outside the window.
I smiled once again, then left the room. Overthinking about the Ookami symbol on her arm. Could it be that her hatred is linked to where she came from? Could it be that we are indeed related somehow?
----
At midnight, the discovery still puzzles me. I couldn't get a peaceful sleep, then I decided to wander around the building in the middle of the cold-breezing wind. When I looked through the window, I saw her sitting on the bench just outside, near the training field. She was in the middle of stargazing.
"Beautiful isn't it?" I walked toward her. At first she was startled, but then she nodded slowly. "I thought you were resting at the health center,"
"Why did you save me?" Rin asked suddenly.
Then I sat beside her, answered her question while noticing that one of the stars started twinkling, "Well, I guess you already know the answer,"

"I think you don't fully understand others' perception about you, Kyuuto,"
"What do you mean by that?"
"People actually despise your existence... they really hate you. My team even planned on assassinating you once, but failed because you always wander outside of the mission boundaries. They were afraid to go that far. It's a miracle that happened. What do you think about that?"
"To be honest, I don't care that much about people actually hating me. The last thing I wanna do is to fight with fellow warriors. Taking revenge is more important than people's way of thinking about me,"
Rin grew upset after listening to my answer, "Stop acting all cool, Kyuuto! All of this happened because of you, because of that damn curse you brought to this country!" she then stood up and continued yelling, "it's just.. you always act like this since you were little, I'm so sick of it!!" she then stomped the ground and panted.
"I'm sorry-- since I was little?"
Rin blushed and turned her head away. There was a moment of awkward silence for a couple seconds. She then bravely faced me again, and answered with a stammered voice, "Y-Yeah, since you were little. To think that you don't remember me for years it's hurtful, Kyuuto,"
"Wait what?" I completely didn't remember meeting Rin as a child, until she finally opened up to me that day.
Rin grunted, adjusting her bangs to the side, then making a twintail out of her long black hair, "See? Remember this?!" her expression detonates my brain. From the look of her eyes, I could see a lost memory, deep within my unconscious jumble of thoughts.---
"Hey where are you going?! Come back here!"
"No! Chase me!" *laughs*
...
"Watch out!!"
"Whoa!!--"
A girl fell after stumbling over a rock, her knee was bruised. A gentle tear shed and paint her right cheek. But in the middle of that, she laughs out of happiness.---
"Do you remember now?" Rin snapped me back to reality.
"It can't be... you---"
"Yes, I was your childhood friend, Kyuuto. And I'm also your cousin---"
Before Rin even finished her sentence, my tongue rolled on its own and mentioned a name. Her old name, "Miyu?"

Trials of a Magic Core
He was brave, and noble, and true. He was also a hunk of crystal floating in a magical circle, brought into existence by the self-styled "Greatest Magus of All Time" to be his personal intelligent magical encyclopedia, filled with every minutiae of the arcane this Magus could stuff into it, all ready and accessible at a moment's notice. But is simply knowing all there is to life? Can he strive for more? Should he? (Writer's Note:) I'm a pretty new writer, so expect delays, errors, inconsistent logic, plot holes the size of a small 4-wheeled vehicle, and a distinct lack of snark. At least from the MC. Also, yes, the cover is an image I made in paint. I have...NO artistic skills. It is a placeholder. Also, I came up with this idea in the shower after a nine-hour RRL binge. SO BEAR WITH ME.

Luster
Growing up with her recently deceased mother’s addiction and her own struggles with gender identity, June Fujiwara was not a nice person. Gaining powers from nearly being murdered didn’t change that, and neither did becoming a mercenary to fund her transition. It took horrific manipulation, the resulting trauma, and the family that helped her through it all. Luster is a derivative work based on Worm by Wildbow (John C. McCrae) that begins prior to Worm and although it doesn't show straight away, the story is very AU.
