《The Noble Curse of Ookami [Previously Titled: CLOSER]》Burning Spirit

"What the hell is that?!" Kazuki panicked when he saw the tower appear from the ground. It emits strange sounds at low frequency, a buzz that disturbed our ears. The glowing part of the tower seems to strengthen the possessed around the area.
More panic occurred when the aura around the purified people suddenly began to fade. Ishigaki quickly re-purify them with all his might. Meanwhile the Jaegers drew out our swords once again.
We heard growls coming from around the tower and even outside of sector 24 coverage. "That's bad news," said Kotetsu, he squinted his eyes to see further into the city. We could hear rumbling from the distance, and there they were.
Large in numbers and variation, normal, zombies, and even hunters began tumbling toward us. The buzz became louder and louder. It seems like the possessed were attracted to the tower and its buzzing sound.
The new hoard of the possessed reached our spot, every warrior on the sector dealt with them fiercely. There were a lot of hunters in our area, Kazuki, Kotetsu and I were dealing with them as fast as we could. While Ishigaki keeps the purified people safe with his aura. He looked worried.
As more zombie blood splattered around the area, we grew more tired than before. That cellular tower must be destroyed first. But sadly, no one in my team had the ability to do that. I could sense the intense energy Ishigaki emitted from his attempt to protect the purified people, but he kept on trying.
One of the hunters was the previous one, the one which had been slashed by Kotetsu. His face was gushing blood, he didn't even hold it when reappearing. Foul smells began to spread as the zombies began to deteriorate, and it distracted us.

The hunters were unpredictable, they were moving too quickly for our eyes to track. But somehow, we managed to dodge their attacks mostly safely. After a difficult struggle to track the hunters, we finally managed to slash one of them and make her unconscious. That's right, one of the hunters was female.
The initial hunter suddenly disappeared again, while dodging other hunters' attacks, I tried to predict the movement of the first hunter. But then I failed. That hunter broke our defense line, and managed to approach Ishigaki.
"Shit shit shit shit!!" I turned around, abandoned Kazuki and Kotetsu and ran to Ishigaki. "Ishigaki!! Behind you!!" I yelled as loud as I could, as the hunter drew out his dagger once again. Ishigaki turned his head around and gasped. He then prepared his aura to defend himself.
The hunter jumped towards him, I followed him and launched myself to stop that monstrosity.
*STAB*
The crazed face suddenly appeared in front of my face instead of Ishigaki. The hunter smiled while he kept digging his dagger to my stomach... my vision began to blur. I felt like I would faint at that moment, but I tried to stay awake.
A strange sight happened, the hunter... shed a tear.
Kotetsu and Kazuki didn't realize I was stabbed, and were too busy tracking down hunters that began to leave the area with small wounds. He then turned to Ishigaki, and did the unthinkable. He snatched him, and took him away quickly.
Not long after that, Kazuki noticed, and came to me. I pointed into the direction of the hunter. Kauzki quickly followed the trail of the hunter without hesitation, while Kotetsu came to check on me first.
I assured him that I would be okay, and he quickly followed Kazuki. I pulled the dagger with my own hands, and tossed it onto the ground. I tried to wrap my wounds with a roll of bandage that we must bring individually, as I laid down on my back, and applied pressure to the wound, I looked at the clear blue sky above, only distracted by drifting smoke.

I remembered something. A glance of the past, suddenly I felt lonely... I remember something, no, someone. But I have to continue my mission, I have to take Ishigaki back.
So I stood up, with the sun's heat on my head, once again I held on to my sword's handle, and rushed forward.

The Deathseeker [Under Revision]
NOTE: This story has dark elements, but it's neither grimdark nor particularly edgy. It's also currently being revised. Satan's Axe...Lord of High Honor...The Immortal Giant...The Black Maelstrom...Son of Thunderfield...The Gods' Retribution. Dalric had many names. None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Two hundred thousand men approached him that day. All of them sought his life, none of them left with theirs. But they would not die in vain, they had accomplished their mission. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time. In a few more words than that, a cast of believable characters in a unique world dealing with conflicts and problems a little bit more complex than punching the big evil guy in the face. Just a little though. Minimum Word Count a Week: 5000 Release Time(s): Between Friday 12pm EST and Monday 6am EST I also write A King in the Clouds
