《The Noble Curse of Ookami [Previously Titled: CLOSER]》Spreading the Wings

The Ora Kotetsu had brought was mildly injured. She had bruises on her knees, and a part of her skirt was torn apart. Her hands were also covered in bruises. We then helped her to cover the wounds, and luckily she was able to stand up properly, but couldn't move very quickly.
"How's your feeling? What's your name?" Kazuki asked the girl. She then looked at us with her beautiful blue eyes, and said that she's okay.
"I'm Rin," she looked at me, then looked away before continuing her answer, "just Rin," she then moved to the possessed, and began to seal them as instructed in her training.
Kotetsu, Kazuki and I stared at each other. Then continued to patrol the area. She was a mysterious girl at this point in time, but soon enough, she would reveal more of her personality. I thought she was not the friendly type, and that's fine.
I looked at the distance, there was another black smoke, maybe closer to the city center. I saw other waves of the possessed charging other teams, and they dealt with them pretty quick. But I couldn't identify who they were, maybe Karito was in that team, or maybe some other pros that I didn't know of.
"So, what should we do now?" Kazuki asked everyone, as Rin was in the middle of sealing people's bodies that were previously filled with darkness. Their bodies were glowing slightly, then their eyes opened. It was terrifying at first, but Rin didn't even flinch. Their eyes gradually turned back to normal, previously, their pupils were purple.
"We wait until Rin finishes her task, we must protect her," Kotetsu answered. The look of his eyes were different. Out of curiosity, I asked where Kuroyuki went. Kotetsu turned his head towards me and answered quietly, "He volunteered himself to become the bait when I got there. There were a lot of the possessed in that building, even the Oras had turned into one. When I saved Rin, he's gone already,"

I'm not sure if that was a smart move or reckless, but by doing that, he saved two of us nonetheless. I hope he's okay.
The sun rose higher, the heat boiled my blood. Little explosions erupted around other areas. It was about half an hour, but Kuroyuki didn't come back yet. I grew a little worried, and a little impatient actually. But I prefer to observe the area.
"There," Kotetsu pointed at a building in the north. I saw some action there, the Jaegers were hunting down something... or someone... they were jumping around buildings, chasing one of the possessed that appeared to be more powerful than the normal ones.
"I don't think that guy is normal," Kazuki spat out his opinion, while squinting his eyes. But then they were all gone as quickly as we first saw them. I had a lot of questions as to who that was, the strange thing was that one didn't attack any of the Jaegers chasing him, he just fled.
All of the bodies of the possessed were finally sealed. They won't be possessed again. Soon after, we saw the first beacon getting deployed. The lava lamp-like device rocketed high into the sky, then beamed its light downwards. I've never seen a reverse-beacon like that. It was strange.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Dwarf While Trapped in a Dungeon Full of Spiders
Thousands of years ago, mankind would honor their dead and their journey to the afterlife through the process of mummification. The elaborate tombs and burial rituals marked our transition from hunter-gatherers to civilizations and empires. However, it's been over 500 years since we've sent tributes to the underworld, and now the underworld, or whatever lies beyond, has decided to send something back. Authors Note- This story is inspired by DnD, Dark Souls, Guild Wars 1, and my love of eldritch horror and dark creepy dungeons. Also completed doesn't mean end of the line. There is more Mike Sammons in the future, promise.

Children of Danu, People of Skill Book 1. (LitRPG/Gamelit)
Hi all, this is my first attempt at fiction ever. I'm sure it's awful, first attempts at new things usually are. Hopefully you can find something you like in it. I had a great deal of fun writing it. It's a basic Litrpg/Game, God sends you to a new world to do their bidding plot. I Know I did too much telling and not enough showing. I'm working on that. The underlying system is one haven't seen or done much. a full Point Buy system, like Gurps, Champions or the Hero system. After writing it a while, I see why folks don't do it. The record keeping is tedious. And once you start doing math in subsequent chapters, you can't go back and add more action, just because you dread redoing all the math. I've got about 80k words written in two "books" on the novel so far. I'm going to edit chapters and try to drop a couple a week till it's finished. Hopefully that will work for folks. I need to punch up the amount of action. I'll be working on that as well. Thanks, Cal-P.S> The cover art is one of the two CIrce Paintings By Waterhouse.
