Yuukai took me into a large room, filled with paintings, books, and scrolls. It appeared that that room was for studying history or something. I saw a display of weapons, armors, and even flags and banners with strange symbols. Some of which I remember seeing in history books.

Yuukai asked me if there's something familiar to my eyes in that room, and I answered honestly that I remember some of the symbols. In that room, I saw a symbol of my family, the one that my father framed and hung on the living room wall. Seeing that symbol here, leaves the impression of my family being one of the important clans in history...

And I was right. Yuukai told me that there was a twisted history within my clan's journey. The mad king, Yamisuke killed his parents after wearing a peculiar ring, with a purple gem as the core. That was the first ever instance of The Darkness in action. The power possessed him, and threw him into a wave of insanity.

He forced every officer of the kingdom (or the clan) to wear the same ring, or jewelry from the same type of gem. He did this so that the Ookami clan would become the strongest clan among others, and get control of the whole land. The opposing officers would all be killed for disobeying his command.

He had a younger brother, named Yusuke. Together, they were able to seize control of the land by this new profound power. But in the end, Yamisuke was defeated by a team of protectors. Unfortunately, their names have been erased, so no one actually remembers them. Yamisuke then cursed the clan that someday he will return.

And he indeed returned to the modern world.

"Yamisuke's return was inevitable, in order for him to return, an Ookami family must have the exact same structure as his family hundreds of years ago. Then, he will come by doing the exact same thing he did, killing his parents," Yuukai explained some of the story.

I was in shock, remembering my older brothers. Maybe this is why Shin didn't want to talk to me, he knew that the curse would happen, and the family would collapse, as well as the country following it.

However, Yuukai explained that the youngest son of the old Ookami king was not mentioned anywhere in history books. It is said that this man was 'erased' from the annals of history for some unknown reasons.

In this instance, I realized that the curse was caused by me. This curse happened because I exist. "Don't feel guilty," Yuukai patted my shoulder. "This was not your fault. Sacrifice must be made, for us to lift this curse off this land. Your existence, was planned carefully by your father, Akai,"

Yuukai explained that in the Ookami clan, it was forbidden to have three sons. Just to avoid the curse of Yamisuke. He, or my small family was deserted from other Ookami family relations because he decided to protect me, in the belief that I would be able to change the world.

But still... even after Yuukai explained everything that I have to know, I still feel guilty. If my thought was right, then maybe it is actually safe for my father to not let me be born.
