《The Noble Curse of Ookami [Previously Titled: CLOSER]》The Night of Disaster

I heard my father's voice when I was looking at the horrible scene downstairs from between the staircases. I couldn't move, and I didn't want anyone or anything attacking my family to know that I was there.
"The time has come," said someone with a thundering voice downstairs. I was too afraid to even want to know who that was. "It was unfortunate, but you know that this is the fault of your own choice. Tell me, Akai, what reason made you do this?"
"I... I believe that my child will change the world, lift this god damn curse and free our family," my father proclaimed. I was in shock hearing what he said, what curse? What did he mean by changing the world?
The evil-sounding man laughed, and continued to what I thought punching or kicking my father. I was hopeless, I wasn't brave enough to go downstairs and save my parents' lives.
"Now, where's that kid?" asked him once again. I was trembling, I felt like every creaking sound my staircases made would be the death of me.
"Kyuuto, secret compartment, now," I heard my father telepathically talked to me again, I took a last glance over them, and walked slowly back to my room, I remember my father built a secret compartment in my room walls, for me to hide in 'emergency situations', but I never imagined the emergency would be like this.
So I crawled into the secret compartment in my room, defended by a small solid steel door behind a perfectly fit tile on the wall. The entrance was seamless, it was perfectly hidden. I squatted there, still trembling, believing my parents are already dead. I heard footsteps getting nearer and nearer.
I held my breath.
I closed my eyes as I hoped for the evil to not find me and go away.

Surprising and luckily, the footsteps faded away, he went back downstairs.
"Where is he?!" the evil asked my father once again, and with trembling voice, father replied, "He... left already," then I could hear him laughed a little, "You won't find him here,"
I heard my father groans, I thought he kicked or punched him again. But he keeps laughing to give the impression that I already left. While I was half crying in the secret compartment.
"You... won't find him here," said father one last time.
Then I heard my mother scream. I imagined that the evil man grabbed her by mother's long hair. I felt angry but also afraid, I didn't want to risk my life there... but I also wanted to save my parents.
"I'll kill her if you won't tell me where he is!" the evil man threatens.
"Do it," father replied with a trembling voice and sobbing. I was horrified to hear my own father agreeing to someone evil to kill his own wife, my mother.
I then heard a slashing sound and a thud.
My mother died, slashed on the neck.
"Your time has come to an end, Akai. You have destroyed your family, and this whole country. Are you proud of that now?" the man asked after killing mother in front of father.
"My hope is not lost," my father proudly declared.
Then I heard a loud thud, but it sounded like a punch to the gut.
"I will find him," said the man, and I felt he left the building. His footsteps changed into the sound of the breeze of the wind.
I rushed out of my hiding spot, and ran downstairs to check on my parents.
I saw my father laid down, holding his stomach from what I think was the most painful punch I've ever heard from a different level of a building. It was scary, I saw my mom near him, also laid down with her already dead body, and nearly torn apart neck.

I cried. It was unbelievable seeing your own parents laid dead in front of you. Hatred filled my soul that time, the feeling of vengeance. That time, I didn't even know what I actually felt, but at that point, I felt like I wanted to kill someone.
Then magically, my father grabbed my left leg. Breathing heavily from the horrible punch he just received. He then whispered his last words, while sobbing, "Great job kid. I'm proud of you... now hear me out, my time is running out. Take this,"
Father slipped a silver ring to me, it was his wedding ring, or at least what I thought it was. Because my logic was if a father wears a ring all the time, then that ring will be his wedding ring with mother right? Turns out I was wrong.
"This ring, is not an ordinary ring. Wear it, and change the world... the Ookami clan... depends on you..." I took that ring, and was about to wear it on my left ring finger, but my father grabbed my hand for the last time, "Take revenge..." then he breathed out his last breath.

Can a Lich Cry
Update every 1-2 weeks. Well, I say that, but I usually write during the weekdays and chill in the weekends. Should be the other way around, but writing helps me destress with schoolwork. The cover is a make-shift drawing I made some time ago. The Seven Kingdoms moved at the will of their prophets. They were the voices of their gods, and the deities wanted blood. After being caught in the crossfire, a young man named Sura died among the endless corpses. However, he inherited the Curse, and the Curse did not allow him to rest. When Titus conquered the Seven Kingdoms, he was still there. When mages became the new prophets, he was still there. Centuries later, the lich had faded into the unknown as the aide of Fia, the bastard mage and the only descendant of Titus. A dead man did not have anything to protect, so what did he fight for? For the game was not over, and it was still his to lose.

Queer Tales From A Street Nominally Associated With Your Reality
The street is not from your world, and yet it's attached, clinging like a shadowy limpet to the edge of your London, your city skyline stabbing into it from above. Or well that's what we tell ourselves, no one who lives here really knows. We are after all just regular folk displaced from our original realities. Just a bunch of folks with queer tales from a street nominally associated with your reality. What to expect: - A series of interlinked short stories gradually unpacking the lives, complications and mysteries associated with those who live in the street - A weird pseudo-British setting where physics works inconsistently, and houses move position regularly - Stories filled with LGBTQ+ characters, and in particular ones on the trans/nonbinary spectrum - Potentially iffy grammar, I'm new to publishing my work online, so whilst I am checking things before posting it’s a near certainty that some things will slip through - A schedule of one chapter every two weeks.
