《Astral Mage》The Airhead has a Name

Once again in solitude, I pleasure myself with the silence as I hum a little music I learned from mother. It was the hymn my mother would hum to herself whenever she cooks or cleans. I would hear her hum that hymn every day.
So, there I was, on the moment of bliss until that I truly enjoyed until again, that same figure appeared in front of me. Suddenly jumping from a bush, this figure attempted a surprise attack, which only ended in failure. Indeed, it would always end up in failure.
It has already been about two weeks or so since my departure, and if I try to count how many times this scene has repeated, I could compute about thirty to forty times. From sneak attacks to traps, he did all sorts of annoying tricks, yet all were in vain. Fortunately, there were days where he wouldn't attack, perhaps to make a new sword, which were blissful days allowing me to enjoy my moments of peace. And there were also chaotic days where he would attack more times than he usually does. If I must force myself to give praise to such an idiot, it would probably be for his perseverance. Nothing more nothing less.
"Such a headache..." I could only let out a sigh.
"Today shall be the day that I defeat you," clutching his sword tight, he once again proclaimed victory like usual. "Now you will witness how strong I truly am!"
Again this time too... He was truly annoying, thus I only walked past him pretending he wasn't even there. Perhaps not giving attention to him might the solution.
"Oi, what's with you? Come fight me!"
I did not even budge from walking and just continued on, not giving a single care. Hopefully, this method works on idiots like him. However, what he did instead was hurriedly walked fast and caught up to me, walking on my left side.
"Oi, I'm talking to you. I mean is there anybody else here? Oi!"
I walked faster without even looking at him, resulting for him to walk fast as well. I quickened my pace even further which made him do the same. All the time, I wasn't looking at him while he kept looking at me. Noticing that, I slowly diverted him to the side of the road as I walked. That was when he did not realize the tree I was leading him into and - "BONGK!"
I now walked alone for a few seconds laughing hard to myself until he caught up again with an angry face.
"Oi! What was that for?" he was rubbing his nose and forehead. "That hurt you know."
"That's the point," I slightly chuckled. "You sure are stupid."
"What?!" he then stopped and a held a fighting chance stance before saying, "Could it be that you’re really afraid of fighting me?"
That very irritating statement got on my nerves, making me stop and turn towards him.

"Hehe, maybe you knew that I have trained harder this time and now has the upper hand," he spoke in a truly arrogant tone with that irritating half smile.
I took a deep breath and exhaled a long sigh before saying, "Truly, what is in your head? Do you still not see? You can never defeat me no matter what you do. You're merely wasting your efforts, though I praise your tenacity and endurance, why don't you try using that brain of yours? If you even have one, that is."
"Ha, really?" was his reply with a surprised face. "Did you just praise me?" He then went closer to me and said, "So you noticed that I'm strong then! Haha!" (seriously, what is wrong with him?)
Completely irritated, I held on tight to my staff and pointed it towards him. "Time Vanish!"
Just then, a magic circle appeared below him and before he could react, he was teleported back to the location he was an hour before. What I casted was time and space magic where I took him back to his previous location one hour ago. It's a complicated magic but a piece of starberry cake to me. I hope he would finally notice the difference between our strengths and leave me alone.

That night, I sat down facing a camp fire that I just lit up. I then placed near it three lizards (not flamebelly, though) and one rock mountain mouse each on sticks to be cooked. I looked up the night sky with all the stars blanketing the darkness with the moon peeking from the canopy of trees. I closed my eyes to feel everything in motion as I read their realea flow. I enjoyed my solitude as I disregarded the annoying essence of a sneaky rat behind the bush, seemingly lying in wait for me to sleep (I believe you know what or who I mean). Once the food was fully cooked, I started quenching my hunger and began eating. It was not that delicious but what mattered was the nourishment, not the taste.
Suddenly, as I was joyfully munching on my food, a loud stomach growl was heard from that same bush. Just then, mumbling can be heard accompanying the following stomach growls. I stared at it for a while before I went on back on eating without a care.
About a minute later, I tossed to that bush the cooked rock mountain mouse on a stick. I didn't really know what I just did and continued eating. I mean, I may hate certain beings, but I'm not cruel. Just then the creature quickly emerged from the bush holding the rock mountain mouse on hand, while showing me a grumpy pouting face.
"Oi, why this? The lizard tastes much better."
"Hah?! Do you have the right to complain?! At least be grateful!!"
"But you have like three of those, it's unfair!"

"Of course, it's unfair, it's mine!" I looked away with a huff. "If you don't like it, then go find your own food."
He then looked at the rock mountain mouse for a few seconds before looking back at me. It was like he was begging with his puppy like face, but of course I wasn't fazed by it (not even a bit).
"At least trade this with one-"
“No,” I raised my chin while munching on my food.
He then sat down pouting and began eating the blessing I graced upon him. I then began to hide my face as I chuckled a little bit because of his pouting face.
"Oi, what's your problem?" he was quite annoyed, and I kinda liked it. I merely continued on eating and enjoyed my temporary moment of silence.
Silence covered us as we both were delighted with each of our meals. Well, his pouting face might have said otherwise, but who cares. Seeing him like this felt rewarding after all the trouble he caused me. Ha, what a lousy little fool. To think that he-
"Oi, what are you looking at?"
"N-nothing of course! Why would I look at you?!"
"You were staring at me just now."
"Who would stare at you? Not like you have anything to stare at," I looked away and continued eating my food.
"I mean if you want to ask something, just do so," he then munched and spoke with a mouth full. "I'll answer if I can."
"Humph! I have nothing to ask of you!" I then disregarded he even existed while looking at the beautiful starry night sky.
"Felgard," he spoke suddenly. "My name is Felgard Belthrone." He continued munching on his food.
“I don’t care.”
“Oi! What’s with you?!”
"I mean I didn't ask for your name," I then went back to eating.
A few seconds of silence came before he asked, "Are you not supposed to tell me yours?"
"Why would I tell you my name?" I gave him a strong I-don’t-care look.
"Because I didn't ask for your name. I told you mine without you asking. So, you should, too."
Just what kind of stupid reasoning did this boy have? I felt that an argument with him would be pointless thus...
"Friesha Mirraden," I told him my name and went back eating.
"Then, I don't care too..." the fool just…
He just disregarded me and went back on eating. Annoyed, I did the same.
After finally filling up my stomach, I stood up and went to take my staff quietly standing behind me.
"Oi, where are you going?" he asked.
"Obviously," i raised my staff from being pierced on the ground. "To find somewhere else to sleep."
"You won't sleep here?" he asked after gulping down the rest of his food.
After walking a few steps, I halted, looked at him and asked, "Of course, because you're here."
"If you don't like me being here why won't you just use your magic and send me away like usual?"
"It's getting late and I need to sleep. Sending you away would be useless because you already know my location. You might attack me while I'm asleep."
"Oi, I'm not that kind of person," he pouted.
"Really? Then why were you waiting behind a bush?" I asked, raising my right eyebrow.
"That..." he looked ashamed. "I was hoping I could steal one of your food. A lizard specifically..."
"Really? And how should I believe a human like you?"
"Just believe me! I'm not the kind to take advantage of such-"
"How should I know? After all, you are an enemy. Truth be told I should be disposing of you now," I gave a strong hateful glare. "I really should stay away from your kind as much as possible."
He could only open his mouth as I levitated on air and up towards the sky. Looking down on him, I felt my chest burn as much as how the flames of the campfire burned. Him being next to the fire reminded me of that time. Humans were burning our homes, killing us mercilessly. Surely I could even hear laughter in the midst of all the chaotic screams of my people. They were playing with them, tormenting them, all the while having the most pleasurable moments of their lives. As I was above the clouds and he was no longer in sight, I road on my staff and flew somewhere far from him, far from humans. If possible, I wouldn't want to meet even one of them again.
* * *
"My name is Felgard Belthrone."
I woke up with my eyes facing the glistening leaves of the canopy above me. A dew drop them fell on my left cheek as I blinked to confirm if I was awake. It would seem that I had a dream, only that I cannot remember what it was. I think someone was telling me his name...
I raised my body and stood up from the huge tree branch which I slept. I was like twenty meters from the ground, with smaller trees shaking their leaves as if to greet me a good morning. Suddenly, I felt thirsty and looked for my water bottle. For some reason, i couldn't find it. No, it wasn't just my water bottle. My bag itself is gone. Did it fall while I was asleep? I quickly levitated down the huge tree towards the ground. Still, I couldn't find it. That was when I remembered.
"Could I have left it with-" I remembered a certain someone which I do not want to remember. "Felgard?"

Not Another Isekai RPG Story Alternate
The story ends at Alternate Route Finale. Ch 2-2 and on can be treated as Extra Chapters. I still hadn't edited that one and it's low on priority. I may come back to it if I'm in the mood. Most of the portions of the story will NOT focus on the skills, stats, grinding or battles. More about the dialogues (or the internal monologues) and the MC interacting with the world (or glitching, if you name it.). ... With parts of his memory lost, Takeshi, a 25-year old lazy office worker was transported to a game world. Using his casual knowledge on video-game mechanics, join Takeshi's journey as he discover more about the world, his companions and himself. (only if you're interested though.) My personal review: from ch-2 on expect a lot of perversion going on. It can be pretty weird, like the MC want to be a girl and Y*ri other girls, Fut*nari folks, Traps, the mention of t*ntacle monsters and some lulzy display (like shoving a morning star up someone's b*tthole in retaliation). In here, the MC will discover new things as he kept on exploring and trying different stuff. This story will mostly be character-driven. Explanations about the world and its mechanics was kept to a minimum. The MC's on the shameless side with not much real-life common sense (maybe) and he's (probably) not righteous at all. The other characters can be pretty weird as well. It won't focus on romance. Well that's about it.
