《The book of forever》Chapter 6: Waking up from a perfect fantasy, was it inevitable?

The war from the luddites, scared of the change; The war of the commons, wanting great change. The common man stuck in between, or two… Are the elves and humans the same, conflict. I watch as the world goes on, peacefulness; yet on the borders of my perception, I can see only red and flashing steel. I look over our maps, our history, was this war inevitable as tears? Like two sides of a coin, rebels spread quick, as if oil and water, not to mix. A two front war is what I see ahead, yet at the moment it but simmers slow. Only a few outlying gunshots sound, yet more sound every coming night’s day. I see the signs, we’ve seen the signs, yet not; yet not one dares to stop the struggle pains, yet not one tries to pacify, instead… Instead they choose to drink and harvest wealth, instead they are blinded by long calm lives.
A war hasn’t happened for a while, far more slow to act yet quick to simmer, we have reached an unsteady peace throughout. A war hasn’t happened for a while, but it’s inevitable that blood flows, thicker than water and more hesitant, no one wants to shoot the first shot. Can I pacify the rebels, concede? Concede power built over my lifetime? What should I do, I am at an impasse. Pacify the commons and change too much, pacify the old ones, regress, retract. There seems to be no way to keep moving.
“We can only prepare for the war, cold; it has not yet boiled over for us. Either pacification would hasten, either pacification would weaken. We cannot move back, only fast forwards; our fragile peace but a short night's dream, a dream, intoxicated fantasy…”

Isekai Dungeoncrawl - Am Ende mit meinem Latein
I have always thought I would live out my life without any major surprises. You know, work on the estates of my parents, serve my time as a soldier, become a senator, a praetor, maybe a consul in time. I thought I will live the life that a Roman noble of my standing can count on. But this was not to be. My previously simple life got suddenly very complicated. I was taken from my home, and now I have to live in a world where no one speaks Latin, no one prays to my gods, and no one knows what the heck garum is. Before, I thought I had all the answers, but now only questions remain. Will I survive? Will I find my way back home? Will I ever be able to get the savage bastards living here to adopt the great accomplishments of Roman civilisation? Not even the gods know the answers. One thing is for sure: should I ever get home again; I will never set a foot outside of my estate without a healthy stockpile of garum. The cover is from Peter Paul Rubens' "The Death of Publius Decius Mus" This webnovel is partially based on a DnD campaign where a party of three players played the adventures The Sunless Citadel, The Forge of Fury and The Witches of Westwater.

This is set three hundred years before my other fiction, Journal of an Adventurer. With the age of disbelief coming to a close, people shoved to the side and rejected from mainstream sociality came together to form an organisation. If they worked together, they would protect their way of life, which conflicts with their technological mindset. In Favinonia, a place of learning and advancement. Where the world’s new technologies are created and studied. University Engineers reworking various new designs of past do-dads and gismos to serve the need of the populous. In a world still filled with magic, the Favinonian people have turned away from magic to embrace this new reasoning. Deprived of faith, the populous was yes advance but lacked humanity and needed to move onto the next step, losing emotion and losing touch with the higher realm. These cause some to fall for other means, pursuing that need to fill with devil and demon cults. In the chaos and ignorance came a community of healers with ancient knowledge before the Massacre of Magic. These few will eventually found the church of the Trinity whose three aspects of Green, life and death with healing and agriculture, Orange, retribution and protection with the flame of passion and Blue, knowledge and law with the clarity of the mind.

DEATH While there is a difference as to when a person or object will "end," it is certain that they will all arrive at that point because death is not something that "arrives," but rather is something already contained within an object at its creation and certainly bound to happen as part of the principle of causality.

The world of Symphonia, once a musical paradise under the reign of Apollo the god Music, was transformed into a monster filled disaster after the uprising of the God of War Ares. In his last breath, Apollo sent his strongest blessing for a human capable of returning Symphonia to its original state.
