"!!!"
All the council members were left speechless and confused as the 'Empress' said that they didn't have the authority.
"Is there a mistake Empress? According to Article 11X we hold authority equivalent to the President."
[Article 11X is null and void.]
"What? When did this happen?"
[Just 10 seconds ago. After the bill was passed in the parliament and Reven Greh used the authority to imply the changes.]
"This…" The 9 council members were completely baffled as they heard this.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Just then Reven's laugh rang out and broke them out of their stupor.
"You guys were just jumping like angry kids. So I decided to give you all a little gift of mine to calm you all down." Reven said with a sagely expression.
Of course his sagely expression turned the faces of the council members pitch black.
Puuh…Puahahaha!
After hearing him even Aimee and Aarav ended up laughing.
"You... you…"
"What me? You bastards did you think I was gonna let you go after you pulled me in that shit. There is no fu*king way…"
"You will regret it. We will make sure you do." As they spoke, all their bodies stated to glow and terrifying amounts of Ardor filled the entire area.
"We shall show you why we are the council! You shall be the first one to bear witness to our newfound strength."
"Hoh! Even though I am a guy who likes to research more than fighting." A tremendous amount of silver Ardor filled the entire field.
His Ardor was practically trying to overpower the Ardor released by the Council.
"But… Even I myself do not know my limits when it comes to fighting with Ardor. So let's see who is strong a Meta-Human or you guys!" Reven said with intense will to fight as he unsheathed his sword from his back.
Reven then looked at Aimee and Aarav and continued "We will take 3 of them each."
Aimee also took out her sword which looked much like a rapier than a normal sword and covered it with mist.

As for Aarav, what he did was even more outrageous.
He simply used his only ability [Hive Mind] to communicate with Ardor and…
"[Manipulations of Ardor: First Form- Grim Reaper]!"
Created a literal scythe made up of nothing but Ardor.
Yes, his ability gave him an ability of interact with Ardor much more than normal awakeners.
This ability was a Mystic graded ability so not many knew about what it did.
In fact, most people thought it could only be used for mass communication and intelligence gathering. But that was not it did or else Aarav would have to split his own consciousness multiple times and this will simply lead to his death.
The [Hive Mind] ability granted his own consciousness to become a nest or a literal hive for Ardor to rest and stay.
What's the point of this and why does this make it so overpowered you may ask?
It's simple really if you think about it.
Ardor –the most supreme energy to exist till now was literally communicating with a being. Just think will there be any hurdles for someone who always communicate with Ardor to get insight into it?
NO!
Which meant that Aarav didn't have any bottlenecks. He simply needed to fill his Ardor Pool and advance. Plus, his control over Ardor was practically on a whole different level.
Aarav soon realised the peculiarities of his abilities so he tried to use it as less as possible just like how Reven avoided using [Unreality]. In fact, anyone who had seen Aarav using his [Hive Mind] to its full extent was already sent to heavens.
Coming back to the field.
Aarav summoned Ardor around him. The silver Ardor soon condensed and formed a huge scythe as Aarav took a hold of it.
He literally looked like a Shinigami from ancient Japanese myths. Seeing this Reven, Aimee and even the Council had their eyeballs coming out of their sockets.
Looking at this Aarav couldn't help but ask in confusion "What?"
GULP-!
Reven took a loud gulp and looked at Aarav with a wry smile as he asked "Old man, didn't you say you only had one ability?"

"Oh this… I forgot to tell you about this. It isn't an ability, it's a technique.
I just made it through manipulating Ardor."
BOOM--!
A blast occurred in everybody's head as they heard that. Finally, Aimee couldn't help but ask "You can do that by just manipulating Ardor. Uncle, are we a joke to you?"
"There… there Aimee right now we have someone else to take care of. We can talk about the rest later." Aarav as a perceptive man realized his mistake and swiftly changed the topic.
"Yes, the old man is right. We need to deal with them first." Reven nodded.
The council members also activated their abilities. As they rushed forward to engage their target.
Rodrick, Chu Feng and Gustav engaged with Reven.
Boliver, Tyler and Rennar were blocked by Aimee.
The rest which included Liam, Evans and Basil started to fight with Aarav.
At Reven's front, Rodrick was the first to use his ability [Demon's Claws] and crouched down at Reven from the front.
Reven used his reinforced sword to block the claws. At the same time, Chu Feng used [Blitz Bolt] at Reven and a bolt of sizzling thunder rained down at Reven. As soon as Reven sensed this he lowered his body and touched the ground and used [Transmutation] to block the thunder.
Awooo-!
As Reven blocked the thunder and tackled the claw attack, Gustav used his ability [Beast Transformation] as he transformed into a dark wolf and sprinted towards Reven.
But…
'[Mysteries of Ardor: First Mystery- Vector Expansion]'
Reven used [Vector Expansion] and changed his stance from defensive to offensive. He used a Chinese sword insight which was used to counter these kinds of swiftly changing battle situations –the body becoming dao or else known as total concentration in Japanese martial arts*.
Reven held his sword with both the hands and deflected Rodrick's claw attack, then he swiftly slashed at the dark wolf with the sword and with [Vector Expansion] his attack also landed upon Chu Feng.
This took Chu Feng as surprise and ended up wounding him pretty badly. The dark wolf was also thrown a meter back.
Finally, both Reven and Rodrick looked at each other as Reven said while raising his sword.
"COME!"
Hyaaa!!!
Both Reven and Rodrick ran towards each other and exchanged blows.
Rodrick also activated his second ability [Devil Wings] as deep black wings conjured behind him which gave him the ability to fly at the same time [Demon's Claw] ability gave him high attack power so he gained the advantage and wounds started to pile up on Reven.
But Reven didn't lose his focus.
As his Physical Body was way more strong than a normal person, even more so after he broke through to middle stages of [Physical Body Sheath Realm]. Time to time he would deal high damage to Rodrick with his unpredictable sword attacks.
Awooo!
The dark wolf lashed towards Reven yet again at the same time Rodrick used his claw attack and Chu Feng used [Blitz Bolt] again.
'Shit.'
Reven's situation was in a pinch.
He needed to do something immediately or else he would definitely be pushed back and fall into an even graver situation.

Author's Notes:
* It is to be noted that every technique and theory I use are totally mine.
I haven't studied any martial art systems whether it's Chinese, Japanese, Indian or Western. So all the concepts I use are totally based on my opinions and thoughts. And have no relation with the real martial arts systems.
They are totally hypothetical and are used for entertainment purpose only. Mainly to attract the readers. And do not worry I provide explanation needed to understand every martial art that I will use here.
