You taught me, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine…”

You showed me how to do just that.

As I watched you enter the shadows of your last days and nights I was deeply aware of what your light meant. I was only beginning to understand what the absence of your life would mean. Still I carry memories of all the times light filled your eyes and filled the room where you were. Thank you for shining for me. Thank you for teaching me the power of this little light of mine.
