《Hello, Inside Monster》CHAPTER XXXIX: THE END OF THE ROAD

A dead silence took over the narrow street where the entrance into the local „The Night Sun” was seen. Around - a dark night, looking more like a thick cloth that could have been easily cut with a very sharp knife - and no alive soul was there to reveal the fact that it wasn’t a ghost city, but an alive one. Only a few lamps that were blindly illuminating the area and seen here and there were betraying the fact that it was still the Seoul City.

There are only the parked cars, in a perfect line, seen in the street - about 50 cars that were informing others that this area of the city was still active during the day and probably during the night too because it was a zone where everybody knew that the nocturne illegal businesses were working at full speed.

Suddenly, a small blink of light, reflected in a small mirror, was spotted behind the car and namely the headlight of a car that appeared from nowhere on the empty street revealed the group of detectives hidden behind the parked cars and waiting for the order to enter the local. Thus, the detectives could see, in the mirror’s reflection, the car slowly approaching the entrance of the local. But … while approaching… the driver lowered the intensity of the headlights, and when he got in front of the local, he stopped the car, but he kept the engine working. After this, he did three signal lights with the headlights and waited.

A few moments later, the noise of the iron latch opening the door was heard and two men, at about 30 years old, tall and healthy, that seemed to be the bodyguards of the nightclub, got out of the building and approached the car.

DooSan shifted toward the masked guy that was closer to the area from where the entrance was seen well and who was lurking on what was happening in front of the building with the help of the mirror. Getting next to him, DooSan slowly tapped him on the shoulder and made him a sign to allow him to see what was going on.

The masked guy only slowly nodded and withdrew, allowing DooSan to take his place and to look at the car.

After taking the masked one’s position and also taking the mirror from his hand, DooSan hesitated if to look toward the entrance or not, being afraid not to do something wrong and to reveal them because even if he worked for a few years already in the Prosecution, he had never before participated to such operatives where someone’s life was in danger. Yet, he decided to act because not for nothing did Captain Lee name him the head of the group - he trusted him and his experience. So, after deeply breathing in, he powerfully squeezed the mirror in his left hand and, slowly, stretched the hand aside, with the mirror facing the building, and only a bit inclined toward him to see what was happening there. Thus, he saw how the bodyguards slowly bent in front of the luxuriant car, of a dark black. After this, the one sitting on the rear chair lowered the window only a little bit and told something to them, but DooSan couldn’t hear what he said. He could see only that the window was closed shortly after this and that the driver pressed the gas pedal and the car moved further, but still at a slow speed.

When the bodyguards turned their backs to the place where the detectives and the masked guys were, DooSan gave the signal: „Go! Go! Go! Now it’s when, guys!” and the first to leave their position had been the masked ones who approached in silence the entrance.

The bodyguards felt the masked ones only when they were two steps behind them, but they didn’t manage to react because right after this they felt the rifle touching the back of their heads and they’ve been forced to raise up their hands and give up. Thus, they’ve been right away arrested and pulled toward the blind area of the street where the patrols were waiting.

„Let’s get inside too!” DooSan told the detectives that were still behind the cars, with him. Among the detectives, there were SolHi, Yoon Suk, detectives Gi and Mo, and a few more of the Kanam group.

The detectives, led by DooSan, snuck behind the masked men and, soon after, they also got inside the building, leaving a few masked ones to watch their backs and to protect the entrance, for an eventual jap.

Getting inside, they’ve seen in amazement a completely abandoned place, with thick dust on half-ruined furniture, spider webs uncleaned for years, and thrown things all over. But, despite the fact that everything was showing that this was a place forgotten by the world, something wasn’t allowing DooSan to be calm and it was because of the dark red carpet, put on the floor and on which wasn’t seen any trace of dust or dirt, a sign that someone was still taking care of this place. „A perfect mask!” DooSan murmured, illuminating the area with the small lantern that he had.

„Are you trying to kill us all?” SolHi whispered, covering with her palm the lantern, blinding its light. „You can make a critical analysis of all this after we get them!” she said, being only a step in front of him, but even if it was dark all around, DooSan felt well her reproachful glance focused on him.

However, he decided to listen to her advice and not because he wouldn’t have liked to tease her, but because he trusted her instinct as a detective: he also didn’t know why for this feeling for her, but … he decided to listen to his heart.

He said nothing: only slowly nodded in approval, but it was enough for SolHi. However, DooSan didn’t allow her to walk in front of him - he slowly pushed her behind him, as if trying to protect her, and this amazed SolHi, who focused a furious glance on his back, but DooSan was lucky that there it was dark and he couldn’t see it.

But it wasn’t the time for SolHi to ask „why he was doing this?” She just pulled the trigger and kept going after the others. Soon instead, the path was boarded up by a massive iron door which was seen by the masked guys only due to the infrared glasses they were wearing. „A dead point!” one guy told DooSan. „What to do? Should we bring here the „bull?”

The „bull” about which the masked guy was talking was a huge metal bar that they used for breaking such „traps” met in their operatives.

DooSan hesitated instead to answer because „the bull” was noiseless and a powerful hit could have alerted those that were hiding inside and who could escape through a secret door that DooSan and his men hadn’t been able to find it yet. But … they hadn’t any other solution for this. When he was about to raise his arm and allow to be brought the bull, DooSan felt someone’s hand touching his arm, and soon after he heard detective Gi’s voice: „I have a better idea!”

Then, detective Gi, a kind of monster truck of a human being, in the good meaning of the words, tall at about 1.87 meters and about the same width because even if he wasn’t fat, he was still sound and well-built because he loved to eat tasty food, but he loved more to work in the gym and to take care of his „sweet boys,” how he used to call his muscles, well worked, passed by DooSan and the rest and, getting in front of the door, he knocked three times.

Nothing happened for about two minutes. So, Gi knocked once again, but seeing that again nothing happened, he started to knock insistently, a sign that those from inside managed to enrage him with their ignore.

Smiling, the masked guys took a step back, not to be seen in case the door opens, and the detectives followed their example, one and all. Well, all excepting Gi, who stopped in front of the door, standing tea pot fashion and swearing furiously the „you decided to piss me off, motherfuckers! Well, you’ll meet me today!”

Only after Gi punched the door, did the small window cut on the upper part of the door open, and a ruffled head, with two black eyes like pitch and stuck on both sides of an eagle nose, showed up in front of it, and a furious voice shouted: „what’s the problem with you, guy, to punch the door?” but he hadn't enough time to react because Gi suddenly put his hand through the window and grabbed the guy from his big nose. After this, he pulled him toward the door and forced him to hardly hit his head from the massive iron, making a kind of strange noise of an empty head hitting the void. Then, Gi mumbled: „not - what’s your problem, but what else can I do for you, sir? Open for once this door or I swear that I break your head as if I crack nuts! Come on, boy, faster, and don’t make me wait!”

But he hadn’t to wait too much because even if the guy has been put there to watch the door, feeling Gi’s „love” on his own nose and not being trained at all to fight, the guy hurried to listen to the command and quickly opened the door because they (his bosses) told him only to be next to the door and to check who was coming when a knock was heard in the iron and to open the door only when someone known was coming. And if there was a „stray crow” his job was to inform the gorillas that were serving as the bodyguards for the nightclub and they were who were taking care to chase away the crow or to force the innocent dove to fly away, and if it was a stubborn bird then they were beating him till it was lacking feathers and so, with a naked butt, he was thrown in the street with a shot in the ass and… go where you came from, if you can, of course.

Being already inside, two masked guys piggybacked the „faithful guardian” and dragged him outside because the job should be done in silence, and he started already to whistle like a scared chicken.

„What the hell is this?” Yoon Suk murmured, being behind DooSan and SolHi who were stopped next to the door, staring around: there was a real paradise of the strippers - women almost naked, of the junkies, gambling players, and lovers of the heavy battles because there was the hidden „belly” of the old night club „The Night Sun,” that had once shone in all its glory, and that was now only the perfect hidden den of those working illegally.

On the left, right after entering this underground local, it was a boxing ring where two „healthy pillars,” of about 2 meters, were fighting, and the kicks and the pommels that made their blood freely flow all around each time the rival was hitting, made the supporters gathered around the ring to yell like mad people, to clap and to enjoy it because, besides the „show” that they were seeing, many of them were waiting for a big win too because bets were made on who would win the battle, and the supporters were throwing a lot of money on the cashier’s table.

„Take them all!” DooSan told disgustedly one of the masked guys and this one only nodded and motioned to the others to follow him.

„Nobody moves! To the ground! Hands up! Police!” was heard all over, and this stampeded those present, feeling the danger breathing down their neck, and because of this, they’ve started to stir about, trying to escape like the rats off a boat about to sink. But … escape if you can: DooSan’s people were well guarding the exiting door, and nobody knew about the secret one.

Carefully watching around at that hustle and bustle, SolHi spotted one of the waiters hurrying up while writing a text message and stepping back toward a far wall. „Yoon Suk, let’s catch that cat!” SolHi told the detective, slowly tapping him on the arm and showing him the waiter.

Observing them staring at him, the waiter threw the tray he had in his hand and ran toward one of the booths seen behind him. SolHi and Yoon Suk ran after them, pushing others aside from their path.

„Damn it!” DooSan shouted, seeing SolHi and Yoon Suk disappearing into one of the booths. „Detective Gi, it seems that we have a secret exiting door. Take two guys and follow them! Now! He mustn’t escape!”

„Got it!” Gi said and right away he ran toward the booth where SolHi and Yoon Suk entered.

Entering the booth, detective Gi, detective Mo and one of their colleagues, known as „Pirate,” saw in amazement that nobody was there. But …it was just an appearance because they suddenly felt a cold air current coming out of the wall and when they approached it, they saw that it had a crackle on it as if a door didn’t close well. So, they forced it and could thus move aside the big closet that was serving as a wall and as a secret door at the same time.

Behind that wall were stairs that were descending into the underground. Gi first looked at his colleagues and after that he started to descend the stairs, being followed by the other two detectives. Getting to the base of the stairs, they looked around, seeing 5 corridors leading in different directions. „And now … where the hell did they go?” Gi murmured, but he hadn’t to wait for long when a shot from the right was heard, making them hurry up toward there.

The hall on which they advanced was long for about 50 meters, with walls dug right in freshly uncovered earth, a sign that the local had been opened in a rush and not that long ago. Yet, on the unworked floor, it was put a carpet of the same color like the one seen by DooSan at the entrance.

At the end of the hall, they saw other corridors leading in different directions, but shorter: about 20-25 meters long-only, and each of them was leading toward a secret booth.

Gi stopped for a moment and looked at his colleagues, motioning to carefully advance. The two nodded and prepared their guns, slowly pulling the trigger. After this, they followed Gi who already advanced a few meters from them.

Arriving in front of the first door, Gi carefully opened it, but there wasn't anybody inside, so he right away moved toward the second one: but … the same - it was empty. Only when they checked the 7 door, did they see SolHi kneeling to a girl and trying to make her react: it was Ha Na, the young girl that was missing and who was laying on the ground, badly convulsing while SolHi was forcing her, trying to keep her from swallowing her tongue.

„Will you stay there all night long and only watch?” SolHi shouted. „Somebody help me to support her! And you, detective Gi, go after Yoon Suk: he followed the waiter through the tenth door… it leads outside!”

Gi answered with another yell: „damn you all, idiots!” After this, he got out of the booth and entered the tenth one where he saw other stairs carved on the wall that were climbing, but he hadn’t time to check if they are safe or not: he heard a gunshot from outside and he climbed them in a hurry.

***

„Put the gun down!” Yoon Suk demanded the waiter that was in front of him but crawling back into the narrow and half-darken street to which the secret door led.

The waiter managed to get a gun in the last booth where they were keeping the store of alcohol and, namely there, among the drink bottles, he had a hidden gun, just in case.

But he didn’t manage to pull the trigger and to use it with Yoon Suk who shot first. However, Yoon Suk avoided the bullet shot by the waiter outside, that first hit the wall, then bounced and hit a bottle thrown behind him that broke into pieces, and the noise of the bullet scared a few vagabond cats that winced under the cartons, frightening meowing and making the two men shake like hell.

Yet, the two managed to come to senses just after a few seconds of shaking, and the waiter tried to run, but Yoon Suk shot a warning shot. Then, he slowly advanced toward the guy, demanding him to give up. But … did he find the idiot there or what?!”

The waiter, pretending to listen to the detective, slowly turned toward Yoon Suk, but still threatened him with the gun. „You should put the gun down first!” he told the detective in a sure voice. „Do you think I’m stupid or what? If I give up and you got me, I won’t ever breathe fresh air after this.”

„Why so? Do you have so many bad shits on your consciousness or what?” Yoon Suk told him, ironically grinning.

„No. But if I do this… others will take care to not chirp ever about what I know.”

„Others? Who exactly? Your boss?”

„Maybe… I don’t know… you should find out this alone if you are so smart!” the waiter shouted and pulled the trigger. The bullet passed this time too by Yoon Suk and hit Gi’s arm, who suddenly exited the door. The strong impact threw the detective to the ground.

Yoon Suk, to protect himself and Gi, fired a few shots, but he didn’t hit the guy who managed to hide behind the trash bags. „Sombe, are you alright?” Yoon Suk told Gi when he finally managed to approach him, but despite the fact Gi was feeling the wound so painfully and it was hefty bleeding, he was still conscious.

Hardly gnashing his teeth, to strangle his moans of pain, Gi tubby murmured: „I’m fine! Don’t let that jerk escape! If so, tell him that when I get him, he’ll be a dead rat!”

„Damn it!” Yoon Suk mumbled, listening to the waiter’s footsteps that managed imperceptibly exit his den and run away, closely followed by Yoon Suk, who was a few meters only behind him.

But no matter how hard Yoon Suk wasn’t trying to catch up with the waiter, he was faster, and when the detective got to the corner of the street, he saw him about 100 meters in front of him, heading down the street.

Yoon Suk intended to follow him, but a black off-road car, with tinted windows, appeared at full speed from a side road and forced the young detective to jump aside to save himself. The car passed by and, when it was close to the waiter that was still running and didn’t notice the vehicle, the right rear window opened and two gunshots had been heard, shot from a gun with a silencer, and the waiter fell dead to the ground. After this, the window was quickly closed, the gas pedal was pressed to the brim, and the vehicle turned right … and find it if you can.

„No… no… no,” Yoon Suk shouted madly, rising suddenly from the ground and running to the guy lying face down.

The waiter's gun was thrown a few meters from him, how he dropped it when he fell. First, Yoon Suk took care to kick it and to move it away from the guy, making sure that this one won’t suddenly stand up and shot him by surprise and, still pointing him with the gun, the detective approached him. But… the waiter didn’t even sigh: he had a bullet wound on the back of his head and another one on the right part, low of his back, in the side of the liver.

Yoon Suk stretched his shaking hand toward the waiter and checked his vital signals. But soon after, he bent his head and, closing his eyes, he sighed, mumbling „damn it!”

„Your job?” he heard DooSan’s voice behind because DooSan and a few masked guys followed Gi and Yoon Suk after finding out from SolHi about the secret door.

„I wish I would, but no! His guys took care of him for me.”

DooSan stared in amazement at the young detective, suddenly approaching him. „His? Who exactly? Did you see their faces?”

„No. It was shot from an armour-plated car, with no numbers, and with tinted windows. So, who shot… I don’t have any idea. A thing is clear instead: they looked for a clean and quick job.”

„And they made it! Call for the ambulance and clean this mess!” DooSan told him disappointedly, approaching the guy and, squatting next to him while staring at the guy’s open eyes, he murmured: „it wouldn’t have been better to give up? You have been at least alive now, idiot!” Then, DooSan stretched his hand and closed the guy’s eyes.

***

A car similar to the one, from inside of which the waiter was shot, is parked about 300 meters from the entrance to the local.

Looking through the tinted window while squeezing a cigar that was breaking into pieces in his hand, SinJu also squeezes his lips because of anger.

„We have guests!” SinJu’s driver told him, seeing a motorbike approaching the local.

„Who's the guy?” SinJu asked furiously.

„One of detective Ian SolHi’s friends. Thanks to him and to his band, the police got with this place and they also have one of our delivery men.”

„Whom exactly?”

„Gu SilGi. He was one of the prospective couriers. But … he’s useless now.”

„Where is he now?!

„In police custody, but … it will be extremely hard to take him out because prosecutor Han DooSan had also involved the Department for Organized Crime led by the Captain Lee Do Hun. You probably know him.”

„Lee Do Hun? That rat? Of course, I know him, as I know that it’s Han DooSan’s job to clean this place: and … these two know each other for a long time already and from what I know they have a good relationship too.”

„Actually, Captain Lee had a good relationship with prosecutor Han’s father. But … from what I see, he is on good terms with the son too.”

„It makes no odds! The thing is that they both badly step on my corns and I won’t allow this.”

„What do you order then?”

„Get rid of them! Starting with Han DooSan!” SinJu mumbled. „And … let’s go now!”

The driver slowly nodded and started the engine.

When SinJu’s car passed by in front of the local, Dja Iun, who was waiting on his moto, holding the helmet in his hands, carefully watched behind the car, squeezing the helmet’s edge with his fingers. But he forced a smiled, seeing SolHi approaching him.

„What brings you here, fellow” SolHi told him cheerfully.

„Just checking how you do things without me,” Dja Iun made a joke, greeting SolHi with a shake of hands and a slow hit of their shoulders as they used to greet each time, they see each other.

SolHi managed to notice yet Dja Iun’s preoccupied glance when he gazed for a moment behind SinJu’s car that turned left.

„Who’s him?” she asked him, staring behind the car and spotting only the last 3 numbers of the registration number: 728. „Do you know him?”

„Whom? Aaa, the car…not exactly. Simply: I just looked around,” Dja Iun dryly murmured, trying to make talk about something else and especially because he saw DooSan approaching them.

„Romantic date under the moon?” DooSan tossed them, but … he for sure wasn’t in the mood to joke because he hated to see Dja Iun around SolHi.

„Yes, yes, and the dog always howls when the moon rises,” SolHi furiously mumbled. „What exactly are you doing? Don’t tell me that you are trying to breathe me down the neck each second of your life.”

„Me? Never. I just … don’t like to see my men wasting time. That’s all.”

„Really?!” SolHi said, piercing him with her furious glance.

„Yeah, I always know what to say. And … I didn’t know that we have new detectives in our … team,” DooSan reproachfully added, staring this time at Dja Iun.

„Detective? Me? Not in a million years. I just came after one,” Dja Iun said, sneaky smiling because he knew very well why DooSan was acting like that: he was jealous.

„After one of my men? And… after whom exactly? Aaa, after the invisible man,” DooSan joked and suddenly he put the hood over SolHi’s face as if trying to hide her from the other man.

„Ia!” SolHi screamed, but her kick didn’t hit the target because DooSan got used already to her tricks and quickly withdrew back, happily greening. „Worse than a child!” she added.

„Nea, I’m not a child, I’m just acting like one… like you two … to be more precise. And… what’s the plan… you have? I mean: if I might know, of course.”

„Nothing important. Only a revanche Grunny owes me,” Dja Iun said.

„Are you looking for your death?” SolHi hissed toward Dja Iun.

„I can expect it from you,” and he sweetly smiled, which made DooSan make a wry face and step in front of SolHi as if he wanted to put her in a safe shelter. DooSan’s behavior made SolHi stare at him in amazement while Dja Iun was smiling, but it wasn’t his natural smile, of happiness, more after spotting another motorcyclist spying on them from the dark corner of the street.

***

„No way!” DooSan told SolHi in a demanding voice, holding her hand and pushing her toward him.

„And … may I know why exactly are you against this?” SolHi asked irritatedly while staring at DooSan and her eyes looked more like two sharp knife blades ready to cut everything around than like a normal girl.

„Because… I don’t consider it right that a woman like you to have a ride on the streets during the night, dressed like this, on a moto, and … having an illegal race with an unknown guy.”

„Illegal race? Unknown guy? Yeah, Han DooSan, it seems to me that you have completely lost your mind. On one hand: it isn’t an illegal race because the road is closed for repairs, and the speed will be the accepted one. On the secondhand: unknown guy? Dja Iun? Rather you are a stranger that I accepted in my house and I feed him with expensive meat each time he wants it. And … I trust Dja Iun more than you, so… get lost!” she said and pushed him away from the moto. After this, she climbed on the moto, trying to put the helmet on.

DooSan wasn’t ready instead to give up so easily: he suddenly approached her and, taking her into his arms, he forced her to descend from off the moto. „Ia, Han DooSan, what’s wrong with you?” SolHi barked at him. DooSan only shrugged while forcing her to take off the leather jacket she was wearing.

„He’s just jealous, SolHi. That’s all!” Dja Iun said, but he was still looking around, trying to see the guy on the moto that followed them till there, but there wasn’t anybody around and it was suspicious.

„Jealous? Me?” DooSan said in a sure voice after he won the small fight with SolHi, for the helmet which he put on quickly, opening the beaver. „Not in a thousand years. I just… don’t consider it normal to have fun without me. That’s all.”

After this, DooSan approached the vehicle and opened the motorcycle storage space from where he took another helmet and a leather jacket for men that he put on in a hurry. Then he put the other helmet on SolHi’s head, telling her: „watch your head! Not for nothing, but with a pig one instead, you’ll look worse than now!” and he closed her the beaver and climbed on the moto.

Hopping mad, because of DooSan’s behavior, SolHi pierced him with her glance. But she decided to give up, seeing Dja Iun’s smile who motioned to her to climb behind DooSan.

„Come on, SolHi! It’ll be funnier this way!” Dja Iun told her. „And… I have no desire for your pitbull to break me into pieces if you go with me alone,” he joked, but DooSan didn’t taste his joke, mumbling: „I’ll take care of you after the race, smart one.”

But DooSan kept silent when SolHi climbed behind him and grabbed only his jacket. So, DooSan suddenly grabbed her hands and pushed her toward him, forcing her to stick on his back. „Ia!” she shouted, but his „shh!” forced her to keep silent.

***

Aligned to an invisible start line, the two motorcycles glow slightly in the bright streetlights, because even if they aren’t new, both vehicles had been well-groomed by Dja Iun who was known as a great lover of motorcycles.

Both DooSan and Dja Jun, with their beavers raised, looked at each other like two rivals ready to break the other into pieces, but not because of their race that they were about to start: both were extremely jealous, and SolHi was indisputably the reason for this.

„Let’s go once!” SolHi spurred them, slowly tapping DooSan on his back.

„Yes, we go! We go, inpatient mouse you are!” DooSan mumbled morosely and closed the beaver.

Dja Iun did the same and the hand of the two men powerfully squeezed the spark advance. A deafening sound was heard around and the race started.

The road in front of them and onto which the race was taking place was smooth and without obstacles, except for the warning signs with the inscription „road on work” seen on the left, stubbed on a big mound of rubble that was next to one mortise dug for changing the piping that was also surrounded by a line of red flags.

Even if the speed had to be about 80 km/h, neither DooSan nor Dja Iun seemed to accept losing in front of the other, not even formally. So, they both passed that speed limit.

Feeling the increasing speed, SolHi approached DooSan more, laying her head on his back and closing her eyes while her fingers clasped together stuck on the man’s body.

This touch made DooSan watch her hands. Then he looked back, only for a second, and in his eyes, the preoccupation appeared because he understood that he had been mistaken by taking SolHi with him, but he didn’t know about her fear of speed.

Dja Iun spotted DooSan’s inattentive glance and he also looked at SolHi, seeing her frightened. „Little stupid girl! Why did she climb on that moto if she’s afraid?!” Dja Iun mumbled and decreased the speed, intending to give up on the race, for SolHi. A yell heard in his headphones, from one of his men that were guarding the area, made Dja Iun wince and watch to the right while a truck was approaching at full speed at the crossroad. „Dja Iun, truck! It’s approaching you!” the young man’s voice was insistently yelling, making Dja Iun shudder because he understood that DooSan didn’t see yet the truck and kept heading at full speed to the crossroad.

Trying to alert DooSan, Dja Iun used first the signal of the headlights, but DooSan didn’t notice it. Only when Dja Iun honked, did both DooSan, and SolHi look back and saw the desperate signal lights that Dja Iun was making to look to their right.

Looking to the right, DooSan and SolHi saw the truck approaching them at a dizzying speed, but DooSan couldn’t avoid the impact anymore because he entered the path between the two mounds of rubble.

„They have no chance! They will be killed! Dja Iun, do something!” the young man's voice cried out in despair in his headset!”

„Damn it! I didn’t want this to be ended this way!” Dja Iun murmured and pressed the gas pedal to the brim. Increasing the speed, Dja Iun managed to approach DooSan’s motorbike a lot, but he understood that he can help them only if he turns to the left, bypassing the mounds of rubble. So, when Dja Iun got to the crossroad he had been the one who hadn’t any chance because he right away hit the truck from the left side of the cabin.

Following the impact, Dja Iun was thrown first in the air, then he touched the front windshield, to be later thrown on the asphalt behind the truck. When he stopped rolling, he was placed on his stomach, with his hands under him, and his head pointed to where he was coming from.

The truck’s driver fought with the wheel to avoid the overturning of the vehicle, dragging Dja Iun's motorcycle after him that remained trapped under the front bumper. Eventually, the driver couldn’t keep his balance, the truck overturned and slid on the asphalt, like on the ice, toward the place where DooSan and SolHi were coming from.

To avoid the impact with the truck that was dizzyingly sliding toward them, DooSan tried to turn to the left, but he also lost the motorcycle’s control and both SolHi and DooSan had been thrown on the mound of rubble. Rolling on it because of the speed, DooSan was later thrown into the ditch dug not too deep.

After the madness of the accident passed, there was a deafening sound of police and ambulance sirens approaching, and about 10 motorcyclists from Dja Iun's gang approached the scene of the accident, staring in amazement at what was left after the impact.

„Dja Iun!” cried the guy whose voice Dja Iun had earlier heard in his headphones, who after stopping his motorcycle, left it fell to the ground, and ran toward the place where Dja Iun was. While running toward that place, the young man spotted from the corner of his eye only, DooSan’s moto stuck on the rear part of the truck and the rear wheel of the moto was still rotating.

The truck door opened and then fell aside, when the truck driver who had his head, his face, and his hands full of blood, tried to get out and run. He gave up on the idea instead, when the truck was surrounded from all sides by the motorcyclists. So, he only sighed and supported his head on the back of the chair, closing his eyes while a thick strand of blood was flowing on his face.

The young man that approached Dja Iun didn’t dare to take off the helmet. He only opened the beaver and saw him with his eyes open, looking at the place where SolHi was unconscious. Then, from Dja Iun’s eyes tears started to fall while he murmured: „Forgive me, SolHi! We had so little time for us!” After this, he closed his eyes while his voice was still floating around.
