《The Mob in His Novel》Initial disbelief

"You're nothing more than a mob in his novel!" the note finished.
I was now back in my loft, slumped against the cushions of my couch.
I was mentally exhausted. I mean, who wouldn't?
Just hours ago, I was in my office doing the same routine I've done for years since my retirement.
Was it boring? Yes, of course it was, but at least it was peaceful and away from any complicated conflicts.
Until that son of a bitch came and ruined everything. I was even prepared to die for as long as he dies with me!
And now? I woke up from my presumed death and found that someone has told me—has wrote to me— that not only am I alive and well and pretty much back to being a kid, but I'm no longer on Earth and instead in my own novel; a novel that is completely fictitious; a novel that I made on a whim because I was bored?!
I am in it?! What kind of sorcery is this??
What's worse is the fact that I have made some parts of the story unnecessarily dark and hard for the protagonist and his friends, because, again, I was bored.
Heaving a deep sigh, I rubbed the bridge of my nose. With everything that has happened so far, it would be an insult to my intelligence if I continue to gloss it over, but...
Why? Why does it have to be me? Was it because I was the author of it and didn't put up the effort to make it amazing, so the fabrics of reality got torn apart and pulled me in the novel as revenge?
If so, is there a time machine or something, so I can beat my lazy ass?
Sighing once again, I took a look back at the open briefcase that was lying on the floor.
Aside from the note, there were three other things that I haven't taken a good look of.
First was the identification card. The only information that was correct was my name and possibly my birthday since I have long forgotten when it was. After all, there wasn't any point in celebrating getting closer to death, especially when you're alone.
However, the birthyear was definitely and obviously wrong, since, deducting in my head the current year from the apparent year I was born, just as I thought, my current age is 15.
Next was the bank check which states that an amount of 700,000 dollars (UNV) has been given to me by someone named Don Joe, whoever that was; I don't remember writing a person with that awful name. It's probably an alias by the person who wrote the letter.

Lastly was the smartphone. It had similar designs as the one on Earth, but it was slimmer, yet it doesn't feel like it would break like a fragile glass and there was only one port that is most likely used for charging.
I pressed the power button on its side and swiped up, easily unlocking it. I quickly went through the apps installed and it was just the basic apps you would see in a factory-new smartphone like a camera, browser, file manager, settings, maps, etc.
I tapped on the file manager and also went through it, but there was nothing noteworthy.
It's just a basic smartphone. I checked if there were any WIFI available near me and there was, but it was obviously password-protected.
I could bypass it, but I don't have the necessary equipment to do it. Heck, I don't even know if the algorithm works the same way as it did on Earth.
Sighing, I decided to go to an internet café to use their computers. I need to find more information about this world and check if there is any inconsistencies or anything that was filled in.
I head back down, leaving with only the smartphone and bank check which were both in my pocket, and once I reached the ground floor, I realized that I don't know where I currently am right now, much less where the internet café is.
Luckily, the receptionist woman from before was still there, so I walked towards her.
"Mr. Bennett." She held the same amicable yet professional smile. "I presume that you've remember?"
"Yeah, sorry about that," I said with a smile, while scratching the back of my head. "I kind of forgot about that."
She laughed cordially. "Well, I wouldn't be surprised really. After all, it's been about three years since you last came out."
Three years? So, I was 'twelve' when I first arrived here?
"Umm." She looked at me as she slightly tilted her head. I wanted to say if I was accompanied by anyone, but that would be a stupid thing to say, since from her view, I've already talked and interacted to her before. So, I instead asked what I originally wanted to ask, "Do you know where the nearest internet café is?"
"Yes, would you like to me to send the location to your phone?" she asked.
I nodded as I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and handed it to her. "I also would like to know where the best bank for me is."

"Sure!" She then took a flat disk from under her desk and connected it to the computer with a USB port before taking my phone. She swiftly typed on the keyboard for a few seconds before hovering my phone over the disk and handing it back to me.
I powered my phone on and saw a notification that I received a navigation route to the places I wanted to go.
The process looked cool, but completely unnecessary. After all, the places wasn't that far, so she could've just done manually in the maps app.
Breaking off my thoughts was the receptionist as she asked, "Do you want to use the shuttle bus? It is scheduled to leave in four minutes. Of course, with you being a resident of ours, it's free of service."
Oh, well that's convenient. "No, thanks. I'll just walk."
However, I wanted to take my time as I take in my new environment.
"I see." She smiled, then slightly bowed her head. "Then, I hope you have a safe trip, sir."
"Thanks." I waved her goodbye and left.
Outside, there was a hedgerow momentum signage that says, 'Chambre Condominium,' and it made my eyes widened.
After all, in my novel, Chambre Condominium was one of the best condos in Dublin City. It has the best security and best view of the city, however it was crazily expensive.
The cheapest room costs 50,000,000 dollars.
Expensive, right?
Well yes, but actually no.
For the most common people here, it really is expensive, however for the more… unique people, it's fairly priced.
Why was this the case, you may ask?
The reason is simple actually: inflation.
In my novel, there are countless of opportunities to acquire invaluable treasures, and because the opportunities to acquire these treasures were so plenty, the supply of the products quickly went down.
So, how did the market fix this? Well, that was to raise the prices!
Hence the unreasonable high prices of many services and products.
Anyway, before I head to the internet café, I need to cash in my check. How else would I pay for the internet cafe's expensive services?
When I went in the bank to cash in, there was a need to open an account before cashing in the check. However, I didn't need to open one as I apparently already had an account, courtesy of Don Joe I presume, albeit the account was still inactive as the process was still incomplete—I needed to confirm the account in which I did.
With an approved account, my check has been deposited and I also received a basic-tier debit card.
Yeah, 700,000 dollars and I only received a basic-tier card. Inflation's a bitch, huh?
Anyway, with a debit card I can now head to the internet café.

In the internet café, I was surfing through the internet in my private room, which I had paid extra for.
I had searched through every nook and cranny of the internet about everything about Vanteer, and it's mostly what I already knew.
I used the word 'mostly' because there are some details added that I don't remember writing, but it's probably just the fabrics of reality filling in the plot holes.
Stretching my back whilst sitting, I muttered, "I really am in Vanteer and in Dublin City too."
Vanteer, a world mixed with modern technology and old-school fantasy's. There were swords, magic, and guns. Mythical objects and exotic-looking creatures were present too.
My heart sped up and an unknown feeling came over me. Was I excited? Or was I panicking?
It may be excitement. After all, it is an entirely different world. With magic, for Christ's sake! It would be a lie to say that I'm unmoved by the prospect of facing magic.
However, it can certainly be panic too, considering the fact that it is the novel I wrote, meaning that everything will soon take a dark turn for everyone.
Luckily, I am here about five years before the plot of the novel actually happened.
So, it's still relatively peaceful.
However, that peace will only last for two years, since an event that kickstarted the novel will happen—the Holocaust.
It is the event where an evil group called the Pandora will make their debut to the world by causing a massacre.
Crap. Seriously, what have I done to myself?
Heaving a sigh, there was no helping it. Since I'm in this world, there was no other choice than to become strong if I want to survive until the end and find out my purpose in being here.
And to do that, I need to become a Maven.

Is it true about him? They hear of the future, but they don't know his past. Assumed as a genius from heaven, a warrior without peer. But back then, from those that knew of him... only saw a worthless boy. [Adventure, Wuxia, Martial Arts, Fantasy] For those not in the know, this is a book with some western and eastern fantasy sprinkled in. This is a work coming from someone who's a long time fan of the genre and would like to add my own flavor and spin to it, and I particularly dislike the shallow xianxia characterization and development. To counteract that is about eighty percent of the reason I'm writing this. The beginning might be a slow burn but I promise I'm bringing up some awesome scenes and moments once you're invested. Again, this is not some fast food xianxia. But I can say that as a lover of the genre I won't be completely shying away from the stuff that got myself hooked into it in the first place. Unwitting Champion
"In stories this is always easy. There's magic and powers, and quick steps to claiming that power for one's self. This doesn't feel true for me. I'm supposed to be a Champion, whatever that means, and yet I don't feel important. I don't have all the bells and whistles, which honestly feels familiar even in a new world. But what was I expecting? I haven't had the worst life - there are people with worse problems than mine - I've known what it is to struggle, to be pulled down instead of being helped up.This is nothing new."When in great peril, the Kingdom of Althor has no choice but to send a call into the void, beseeching the Fates to bring them a man who would save them from the coming darkness. Unfortunately the path the Fates chart is often unknowable to men and the Champion who appears is not what the kingdom expected.Unwitting Champion is a story of a guy displaced, dealing first and foremost with trying to survive in a world where he is no longer a person but a tool, and - at least from the reaction of those around him - a shoddy one at that. His major goal is to survive long enough that either he can run or find a way home, because as exciting as the possibility of learning magic might be, he would rather have a boring life than a short life.
