I noted all the things I found out in 'Inspectors record', and like always it never got any exp. I wasn't realy angry, it was a waste of skill points anyway.
Hemdal yelled at me from where he was resting "What are you doing!?" in a questioning tone, not an angry one.
"Oh I'm experimenting!" I yelled to him.
"What are you experimenting for!?" he asked, very curious to what I'm doing.
I gestured for him to come to me, when he came close to me I said "I'll show you up close" And made another construct, with both new nodes inside of it. I made the color a golden light, the light associated with the god of light. Then also set the movement node to go up, I was going to make a spectical with this.
When I activated the construct, I made it look like I directed it up. The higher it went the more mana I gave it making, making the light shine stronger and stronger. When it reached 7 meters high I undid the construct, my creation figuratively brought a tear to my eye. I finally got something usefull, a thing I can use my mana constructs for.
Oh, and Hemdal was impressed too "Y-you're a sponsored."
I made a large laugh "No, I'm a mage." A pre chosen name I gave my mana shenanigans, I have to give an excuse to play with mana anyways. I stood up and said "Do you want to be want one too?"
"Of course! why wouldn't I!?" He yelled excitedly.
I sighed "Well it took me like two years of work to make a light that can move and has a non light blue color, I thought you may not want to take the time to learn."
"You will help me right?" He asked.
"The most diffcult and time consuming thing is feeling mana, but I'll help with that. yea it'll be pretty easy if you have over 10 INT, even my beast can feel mana. It won't be possible with your beast, at least not possible if you don't evolve it with a focus on INT."
"Oh" he said and made also made a frown.
I told him in a matter of fact tone "If you want to learn, convince your parents to allow you to join me in the non-nessecary dungeon runs I do."
Hemdal put his hands behind his neck and said "I'll try, it'll be pretty easy though. there's a high chance I will be able to convince them, they don't really care for my well being so the chance to make friends with the heir of the house for my wellbeing will be an openly excepted idea."
"Oh, really. Why?" I asked, curious of my follower's family situation.
He sighed "I was an idiot a year ago and I made a bunch of stupid desicions, making my parents not really see a future for me and started only caring for my twin brother; Hoping that it would form a rift between us. I at first thought that they had failed, but an experience has made me realize that he only kept me close for if I ever made it big. He would throw me away if it is benificial, I don't have any real emotional conection with him. The biggest problem for me to convince them is that your current abilities are unknown."

I raised my eyebrow at that last sentance "Why is that, it should be widely known that I have a rank 5 beast under me."
He made an annoyed expression "Yea but you hide everything else, if people knew that you can make light without gaia's help everybody would try to befriend you. A person able to mimick a sponsored's power without any help would be extremely sought after all, but you don't show anything to the normies. Normally an heir shows of their prowess as much as possible to ensure their position as heir to the family, but you don't do that and that makes people think little of you. With thoughts like 'He doesn't show anything? He must be to weak to show anything.' or 'He doesn't think he has to show anything? He must be to lazy to do anything.', you get the idea"
I made a groan of annoyance "Yea I get the idea, but can you do it?"
"Yes I can." He said confidently.
"That's good, but I think it's good to get back to the main group. You will go first, then I will join up with the group a couple minutes later. We need to keep our business secret from those who arn't part of our group." I said.
Hemdal said "Yea, yea." And walked to the main group, while he walked away I acted like I was comunicating with Erebus. When he was out of my line of sight I collapsed onto the ground. Man, comunicating with people is so annoying.
Hemdal Drake-
I caught up with Able and he was sitting, leening on the wall. He was messing with something I didn't see, I was intrested but I was exausted. I had ran constantly for an hour with small breaks inbetween, I sat a bit away from able; I sat on a rock, relaxing and talking to kamordo. After a quarter of an hour I asked "What are you doing!?"
"Oh I'm experimenting!" He yelled to me.
"What are you experimenting for!?" I asked, curious at what he was doing
He gestured for me to come to him, when I came close to him he said "I'll show you up close" He put his hand in a slightly closed grip infront of his cheast. And after 5 seconds of concentration, a light apeared in his hand. He pushed it up slowly, after it left his hand. It kept going faster upward and the light shown more and more, it was a beautiful golden light. But then suddenly, the light went out. I asked in shock "Y-you're a sponsored."
He made a large laugh "No, I'm a mage." He stood up and said "Do you want to be want one too?"
"Of course! why wouldn't I!?" I yelled excitedly.
He sighed "Well it took me like two years of work to make a light that can move and has a non light blue color, I thought you may not want to take the time to learn."
"You will help me right?" I asked.
"The most diffcult and time consuming thing is feeling mana, but I'll help with that. yea it'll be pretty easy if you have over 10 INT, even my beast can feel mana. It won't be possible with your beast, at least not possible if you don't evolve it with a focus on INT." He said, but this requirement was no problem my INT was over that. But not having my beast be able to gain it like his was sad, I frowned from it.

He told him in a matter of fact tone "If you want to learn, convince your parents to allow you to join me in the non-nessecary dungeon runs I do." I put my hands behind my neck and said "I'll try, it'll be pretty easy though. there's a high chance I will be able to convince them, they don't really care for my well being so the chance to make friends with the heir of the house for my wellbeing will be an openly excepted idea."
"Oh, really. Why?" He asked,.
Then I and Able talked about my family situation
Then he made a groan of annoyance "Yea I get the idea, but can you do it?"
"Yes I can." I said confidently, my family doesn't care about my well being at all
"That's good, but I think it's good to get back to the main group. You will go first, then I will join up with the group a couple minutes later. We need to keep our business secret from those who arn't part of our group." He said, and I completly understood why.
I said "Yea, yea." And walked to the main group, while I walked away he was comunicating with his beast. When he was out of my line of sight, I started celibrating. This was a-fucking-mazing, I can't even start explaining how happy I was. I could become a fucking mage, the future elite of the elite. The ones, where the stronger ones can meet with the heads of the 6 great ducal families on equal ground. And the 0.01% that sits above the fuckin' emperor, and I could be one too. The mage tower requires you to gives thousands and thousands of gold coins, and a oath of secrecy and complete and utter loyalty. And you also need more then 7 INT too, then also a calm temprement. This is all when you're younger then 8 years old.
This oath was so worth it.
Able Drake-
After a couple minutes of rest, I stood up off of the ground. And walked towards the main group, it didn't take long after I integrated with the main group to leave the dungeon. I quickly put my equipment into the ring, gave it to a servant. And went inside of the mansion, then inside my room.
When I looked around I saw a table on the side of the room, it looked like the station at the carpenter's workshop. All the tools where there too, my machinations would be realized. I wasn't really shocked that Osgar could get this inside of my room in less than a day, it's literally a table with some stuff on it. And in a corner some materials are stacked up against eachother, there were logs, wooden beams, thick sticks, rope hanging on the wall, string also hanging on the wall. And one of the most important ones is like three barels of devils dust, I examined it for a bit and concluded that it was a crude gunpowder. Another inportant material was the crate of old timey cut nails, letting me connect pieces of wood together. Oh and there was already a hammer rack next to the workbench.
Then I just sat on my bed I chose to look at the information of the nihilem mark 1, There was a lot of information about it. Its hardness, flexibility, measurements, the material's it was made out of, its sharpness, and the like. most of the information was not that shocking, except the materials it's made out of.
The thing that was shocking about the information was that the iron was called 'Extremely refined iron', and it was registered as an uncommon metal. This was an extreme shame, I wasted an uncommon metal bar on a common high quality dagger. I guess it was worth it for the talented skills and the talented title for me personally, definitely not for the house though. So, now I have chosen that to never tell anyone about having talented skills or the extremely refined iron.
Oh and Hemdal entered and we had a small conversation about what weapon we're going to use "What weapon are you going to use?" I asked
Hemdal anwsered my question with a question "Why should I use one?"
"That is obvious." I said "First when your beast is attacking something, you can't let yourself get killed due to not being able to fight. Oh and if you want to be feared you need something to be known for, like a mask with dot eyes and a smile, or a straw hat with a red trim, or wasting a bunch of money on fashion." I looked at him like I was staring at an idiot "You do get it now, right?" I said in a voice filled with pity.
He made an annoyed "Yes I do, if you really care so much that I use a weapon, I'll use a sword or dagger, with poison." He made a smug face "And what will the high and mighty heir use?"
"Oh, isn't that obvious?" I made it obvious that I was effended "I'm going to use a bow, with a gladius on the side. And obviously enhanced with mana and arcana" But without getting the variant skill "They with both be coated with necrotic poison, at least I hope I'll be able to make it"
Hemdal was obviously confused at what necrotic poison or a gladuis was, but didn't want to show it. Since he didn't say it I wouldn't tell him was my thought process "Oh and I'll try to make explosives, got all this gunpowder would be a waste not to use it."
Again Hemdal was confused, not knowing what gunpowder or explosives are. He wouldn't be able to make sense of what it was even if I said devil's dust, it isn't well known and is only used for parlor tricks. Gunpowder is literally just a flameble powder that is used up very quickly, it creates a large amount of gas due to being lit on fire creating high pressure. If you didn't know high pressure in an enclosed space can create an explosion, think of pressure as something that's being squeezed but is pushing to not be squeezed, that something is gas, and that gas's pushing is pressure. It can propell a metal ball to around 2736 Kilometers/hour that's 3 times the speed of an commercial airplane back on earth, of course it could go faster though, 2736 Kilometers/hour is just the average speed of a bullet.
Then Hemdal said "Going back to why I'm here, I got permision from my parents for the dungeon." He took some parchment out of his pocket with two handsignatures. "Their handsignatures are on this parchment." He gave the parchment to me then said "Goodbye." Waving at me while he left, I waved back.
Then Osgar came over, I gave him the handsignatures and told him to have Hemdal come with me for those four days. I asked him to put fire starters and 4 days of food for 2 people, and some wood to make a campfire. He went away, it was going to be a long night. I am now a pioneer in explosives reseach, time to get my lab coat.

Fateless: The Silver Lining
It has been ten years of peace for the Union since the end of the great war with the eastern barbarian tribes, yet in the cold north of the Union's land, a new threat is looming. This time, an ambitious Lord is seeking to restore the yore pride of his kin, forcing the weakened Union into yet another unwanted war, as he ramps up the ranks of his army with thieves, murderers and mercenaries.* * *The temperature inside the forge was nearly twice as high as the one outside. A black-haired girl hammered a steel ingot into the shape of a blade. The heat of the steam was draining her stamina away, but her focus remained sharp as her sweat streamed down her face. Hit after hit, for hours, the sound of the hammering steel followed the rhythm of her breathing. Exhausted, she placed the blade into the water and wiped the sweat off her face using a drenched rag. Why are they screaming? Vatra dipped the rag back in the water, twisted it, and approached the window. Her mouth opened as her world shattered again into the living nightmare she had wilfully tried to forget. She bit her lips; it wasn’t a dream. The pulse of her heart rose. A cold sweat prickled her back. A mother was running, and a child was screaming. A torrent of smoke was emerging from the roof of her neighbour. Vatra’s eyes blinked. The mother lay on the ground, a spear through her back. A torch circled in the air and landed on the roof of her workshop. In the distance, a man wearing a banner well known to the world… Fateless is a philosophical medieval dark low fantasy centered on war, militaristic campaigns and geopolitical conflicts between multiple empires. This story follows the fate of Vatra, a former slave from the eastern Nar Empire who was raised in a culture far away from her own, forced into warfare against her will, and the fate of Lanaya, an ambitious half-angel exiled from her home whose existence is seen as heresy. As they wished for peace, both chose a path opposed to one another until their fate crossed. In this story where war dictates the law, love strikes them as a poisoned balm to which they grasp for with all their might, as it is in the darkest of times that the smallest flames may burn the brightest. * * * Tome 1 already completed and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Fateless-Silver-Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot/dp/B09LGSH1KK Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot-100547579135891/ I will publish 1 chapter per week (sometimes 2 if the chapters are too short for my liking).

Magikind [Original]
The third millennia, a time of change and evolution. An era, where people, through countless generations, have evolved strange powers and abilities. Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some refused to change or adapt. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin, will herald a new era for all Magikind. A story of how man could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. Disclaimer: Chapters will be edited once the first volume is done. Bear the beginning for the time being, and hopefully you can see my writing improving over time (I've learnt a lot on how to write because of this (though I'm still not perfect :P)) Proud Member of Writers to the End, WriTE The link to the pledged fictions PS. If you find the 'notes' too boring or too info-dumpy, feel free to skip them and just read the main chapters. They're there for the reader to understand Gin's world (written in the perspective of Gin). But later on, we can see some interactions between the main characters and the occasional references to his past in the notes, so it has its purpose.
