RB Chapter 88 Captured!

As the savage lifted Eric off the ground to try and once again smash him down, sparks of electricity abruptly appeared in his leg causing the savage's palm to slacken, and riding on the momentum, he was launched into the sky.

'Monki!' He wanted the guy to take his place.

The savage didn't even glance at him when he escaped. Instead, its eyes focused towards the girls and they lit up! It's foot shattered the ground as it raced towards them at the fastest speed it could!

But before it could even reach within two meters of them, a figure appeared in front of it and struck down with its pole. Monki had finally joined the battle once again! The savage was forced to defend itself as even it felt a trace of danger from the staff. Monki was trying out his rudimentary mastery of energy channeling. He had even used energy channeling to defend himself from the first attack.

'Now, Chloe.' Eric thought as his body sailed through the air. He landed five meters away from the battlfield, in the tall grass and rolled on the ground to dissipate his momentum.

He didn't even pause as his body sprang up and headed in the direction of Chloe's battle. Only she mattered. Even if Leah died, he wouldn't really care, but he couldn't allow the person who took him in to die.

Chloe really struggling. This savage's blade techniques were in a league of their own and she even suspected that he was the leader of their little squad.

She was dodging left and right trying to find an opening. This time she was cautious enough not to let the blade wind touch her.

'When will I find an opening?' She wondered. Her entire focus was on this savage. Any lapse would lead to her demise!

The savage's arm blurred as he once again slashed vertically, then horizontally and diagonally. He was slashing so fast that it was like a protective shell had formed around him. She made sure not to enter within two meters of the savage as she would die.

Of course she could speed up her metabolism, but she was waiting for the perfect opportunity. She wanted to kill him in one stroke!

As she waited for her chance...

"Hurry up!" The short savage shouted causing her heart to skip a beat.

'Hurry up! He can talk!' Before she could even make sense of the situation, the elder used all his energy to make a powerful horizontal slash, causing her to retreat. His eyes darted towards his companions. One was being held back by Mugumivu while the other was exchanging blows with Monki.

'These people arent simple! We need to capture those few and get away from them.' He thought as he placed his blade back into the scabbard lying on his waist.

'What is he up to?' Eric, who was watching in the undergrowth, waiting for his chance was puzzled. The battle between the two had caused the tall grass within five meters of them to be cleared.

'These people are strong! Mugumivu must have mastered energy channeling long ago but he was hiding it. Chloe and Eric are also strong! Even with Eric being some what hindered by his disabilities. Monki has just mastered energy channeling, but coupled with his battlefield experience, he's barely putting up a fight. I, and all the girls here lack experience. If we could pool all our numbers, then we could have a chance of winning.' Sally thought while analysing the battle. She was still leaning on miss Njibwa. Except Elena, all the girls had pale faces. Elena seemed like she couldn't wait for a chance to jump in.

'This is the moment! This exhilarating feeling! I have been couped up in the city for such a long time that I had forgotten this feeling!' Chloe thought as her excited eyes beheld her opponent!

'She looks like she's having fun.' Eric caught the excited glint in her eyes.

The savage breathed out slowly. His companions were being entangled and he saw no way that they could extricate themselves in such a short time.

'I will help them!' His Knees bent and the ground sunk in. Chloe took a stance anticipating an attack!

'Is he really targeting Chloe?' Eric noticed something that caused his guard to go up.

The short man abruptly vanished from where he had been leaving only an afterimage. Both Chloe and Eric couldn't even react as the man had practically surpassed their cognitive speed! He had caught them off guard!

The next time he appeared, was in front of miss Njibwa! He simply hit the back of his neck, knocking her unconscious before vanishing to once again appear in front of the absentminded Leah and once again doing the same thing. Both the girls ended up under his arms.

"Let's go!" He hollered before dashing off. The other two dropped their opponents and ran after him.

"Shit!" Chloe cursed loudly before she vanished to pursue the three.

"Those imbeciles dared to capture my woman!" Monki shouted before he too chased after the trio.

Sally had turned pale and even crumbled to the ground since all her weight had been placed on miss Njibwa.

Mugumivu didn't utter any other words. The ground under his feet sank, cracked and he vanished.

'We were careless!' Even Eric lamented.

"You three! Who wants to follow? I don't plan on baby sitting you!" Eric said before he too ran into the tall grass.

'She was captured. Now which team will I join?' Sally wondered as her eyes flickered.

"She deserved it!" Dora snorted coldly. She felt a hint I'd glee budding in her heart when she saw that miss Njibwa had been captured.

"Hey! You three! Drop the girls or else..." Monki threatened as he had even surpassed Chloe to be the one closest to the savages. The shorter one had already thrown the two women the in the grasp of the other two.

"This is the wilderness!" Chloe shouted. She wanted Monki to shut up.

"What are the savages up to?" Eric asked when he caught up with Chloe. The savages were 10 meters in front of them and Monki was just three meters behind the savages. Mugumivu was 4 meters behind them, making him the slowest. His forte wasn't speed afterall.

"We need to save them! The savage tribes are always on the move, that is because they are always destroyed by powerful beasts. The weak die and the strong survive. The weak are always the women and the children, so they have to replenish more...I had forgotten this crucial piece of information!" Chloe blamed herself.

"So they placed an ambush because they wanted women?" Eric asked.

"Yes! We need to save them in one fell swoop so, don't accelerate and waste energy. We will attack when the chance presents itself." Chloe advised. Eric nodded.

The grasslands were almost unending. They were running at almost the speed that they had been exchanging blows with, but they still couldn't see the end of the grass.

"Hey! Do you hear me? If I catch you, you are going to wish you were dead!" Monki continued to shout but the savages didn't even spare him the time of day.

'Its about to become nightfall and our group has been separated not to mention the energy we are consuming. Are we going to be okay?' Eric became worried.

"Look!" Chloe's voice woke him from his thoughts and he looked towards where she was pointing. The grassland was finally about to end as ruined buildings entered his sight.

'Is that where they live?' He wondered.

"Monki! Slow down! There might be traps ahead!" Chloe shouted but her voice didn't even reach him.

'I am going to slaughter them! They must die! How dare they lay their hands on my woman?' The more he thought, the more his rage was being stocked.

As he saw the ruins in the distance, he couldn't wait anymore! He placed his left hand, which had been holding his staff behind with its end poking out from behind his head.

Then he raised his right hand and his palm wound around the staff behind his head. He used all his force and lifted it up like he was going to attack the trio causing a whooshing sound.

But instead he jumped up and the staff hit the ground while his feet landed on the other end, where he pushed himself off and directly appeared above the guy holding miss Njibwa.

'Hehehehe...you are going to die!' The guy had a shiver run down his spine when he stared into Monki's eyes.

"Dodge!" The one with the blade shouted!

"Eric!" Monki shouted and Eric instantly understood. He pulled out the staff as he passed by it, then he threw it towards the airborne Monki who caught it and lashed out at the savage holding miss Njibwa.

(Boom!)

The staff caused dust to rise up when it struck. The blade weilding savage had pushed his companion out of the way.

'This is troublesome!' The blade savage frowned. He was even considering abandoning the two girls.

'But we need women. We have been searching for months! When we reach the tribe I will ask the others to act so that we can get the other three we left behind.' He thought. But now, they first had to survive this pursuit!
