RB Chapter 72 The End Of An Era

The two men had just loosened their hold on her thinking that she had calmed down, only for her to slip out of their hands and sprint towards the couple.

No one had expected such a development!

The target of the woman seemed to be Leo! He was shocked, but right now he didn't have the energy to get out of the way. His stock of energy capsules had run out, so had his wife's.

A deranged look was what adorned her face. Both her hands were poised in front of her, pointing directly towards him. Her nails elongated by a few inches. She wanted to stab him!

Leo who was reacting slower than he normally would, was shocked when a figure appeared directly in front of him.

Her back was to him, but her waving brown hair made him know who it was! His eyes widened and he opened his mouth to say something, only for two hands to exit out of her back where her heart was supposed to be!

Blood splattered on his face and Leo froze! He was too shocked for his brain to register anything.

"Bitch!"

The woman cursed when she saw Lena's face adorned with a smile even though her heart had been destroyed.

"Puh!" Lena spat out blood, and since she was in the way, it fell on her face.

"Aaaaaaaah!" All the anguish that she had came out in her scream before she pulled her hands apart with such strength that Lena was split into two horizontally with a tearing sound!

The blood splattered onto everyone's faces.

Leo was awakened from his frozen state when the blood splattered onto his face. His eyes widened and...

"You! Bitch!" He shouted! It was so loud that even the woman, who had been preparing to attack him next, flinched and took a step backwards! The murderous aura being emitted by Leo terrified all the people here.

"RUN!" The elder shouted when he saw that. He was the only one here who knew how much Leo had loved his wife!

Leo opened his mouth wide and sucked in, causing air to be taken in. As he continuously sucked, his lower body, starting from his toes upward, started withering!

'Wife! Why did you have to block that attack? Why? Now I have no reason for living! I can only accompany you!' His eyes became resolute. But before he dies, he must make sure that this woman died too!

The woman's face had an expression of utter terror right now! She was sure that no matter where she dodged, this guy would make sure to kill her!

The two guys who had been restraining her where also terrified! They didn't even try to rescue her! All they could think of right now was to save their lives! They jumped off the building! Right now they judged that to be the best course of action.

The other guy was conflicted. A myraid of expressions were crossing his face.

"Elder!" He shouted before ultimately picking up the elder and jumping off. His dilemma had been on whether to save the elder or not. Even though all of them worked under him, they didn't like his methods.

"SHATTER!"

Leo's voice practically exploded out of his chest! The woman's look of horror froze on her face before she burst into blood mist! So did the various parts of Lena!

Cracks propagated when the vibrations touched the ground. It was like a giant hand was trying to push away that part of the building!

It shattered and the vibrations caught up with the Two males who had just jumped off the building causing them to burst up into a blood fog!

Gigantic pieces started being launched off the side of the building, continuously shattering into smaller pieces in the air. The vibrations were continuous! Even now, as Leo's body continued to become dessicated, the vibrations were still coming out of his mouth uninterrupted!

The man who had just carried the elder over his shoulders, thanked his lucky stars that he had been to the side, out of the way of the vibrations!

When Leo's entire body was drained of all its energy, the vibrations stopped and it shattered into dust, taken away by the wind. The entire time, his gaze had not left the place where his wife had died.

The vibrations had affected almost 6 building floors and the debre had fallen down onto the nearby buildings, killing multiple people. Even the vibrations, though weakened, had still caused multiple casualties, most of them non fatal.

If you took in the entire Mpologoma clan building right now, it would look like a natural disaster descended upon it!

Finally, it has been, like, decades ever since I started writing this arc! Thank you for all my readers for staying with me through all these times!

I started writing this fiction because I wanted something which was truly grounded. Most authors (no offense as I enjoy most of your books) write about genes and then, somewhere, they shift towards mythology! What I want in this novel is to portray how someone can mix certain genes to get them to come up with those mythological creatures (dragons, phoenixes and many others).

This first arc has been about the start! The start of what is going to be called the Rampaging Era!

And I know, most of you wished it to be more about the MC but, my novel will also explore more characters, and it won't be limited to humans!

For my other novel, I will rewrite it after ending this one. Writing 1500 words is a pain! But, since I started, and I like where this story is going, I will continue until I finish it! After all, what's the point of a story which ends in the middle.
