RB Chapter 67 Going All out!

"Oh! You mean elder Frey, he chose his path. It wasn't the proper of paths but he adamantly remained steadfast despite our warnings. He does deserve respect for proceeding..."

"...but that also meant that he had to shoulder all the consequences." Leo said calmly.

"But you had the power to save him! Especially you! You knew how to get stronger, but refused to share it! If you had, my grandfather...wouldn't have perished!" In this dark weather, Godfrey's chest rose up and down, the outcome of his outburst.

"Good talk! But right now, I am not interested in listening to the tantrums of a child. I believe even the elder shares my opinion...?" Leo completely ignored him.

"You are right. Godfrey, words alone won't get you anywhere." The older only threw down that sentence before once again directing all his attention towards Leo.

Leo didn't wait for anything else before sucking in a massive breath! His wife went behind him and both the elder and Mr. Lee had their eyes widen!

The elder and Mr. Lee didn't hesitate at all!

The elder swallowed multiple energy capsules while he raised his other arm and pointed his palm towards Leo. A thin branch started growing out the center of his palm! It was far faster than normal trees!

Mr. Lee didn't slack off, he drew his arms backwards, bent his knees and adopted a stance! He took in a deep breath and pushed out!

The palms looked to be travelling slowly, but in fact they were so fast that the air around them couldn't get out of the way in time causing it to compress and distort sight!

He had taken energy capsules earlier, so he had plenty of energy running around in his system.

When his palms reached the front of his body, the compressed air was abruptly released and expanded into a shockwave heading for the couple.

'I hope it manages to stop the sound.' He thought while releasing a breath of air. All the droplets that fell on his arms directly turned into steam a testament to how hot they were!

As a scientist, not a combatant, coupled with his raging emotions, Godfrey hadn't managed to react to the exchange in time!

Elder Muti released the sharpened branch. It sped out of his hands as if it had just been shot out of a gun!

Leo paid no attention to the attacks heading his way and instead opened his mouth exhaling all the air out at once!

The air directly in front of his mouth rippled! It was like it had been pushed away! And the ripple continued to propagate in front of him!

Elder Muti's sharpned branch started being disintegrated the moment the tip came into contact with the ripple!

"Boom!" He mumbled causing it to splinter and turn into needles which were also disintegrated by the ripple.

His face turned ugly.

Mr. Lee's shockwave reached at this time, and the collision, slowed it down enough for the sound released by the two attacks when they had been launched to reach the ears of all who were present.

The rain drops were pushed away before an even larger circular shockwave, created by the collision of the ripple and the Mr. Lee's attack pushed all the rain, creating a circular expanding bubble!

The ground caved in, Leo who had already been prepared, had the claws of his toes stuck into the concrete, but was still pushed away, creating grooves in it.

On the other hand, a green cocoon had appeared where Elder Muti had been standing. There was another one off to the side, with Mr. Lee probably contained in it.

Godfrey had taken on the full brunt of the shockwave with his body, causing him to be pushed off the roof with blood spilling out of his orifices.

He had been caught off guard!

If you viewed the building from the top, in the sky, you would see that cracks were running across the roof from the center of the collision. And a crater had even formed! It was just a thin line away from collapsing!

The twigs which had grown out of the elder's body withdrew after the shockwave passed.

His entire body except for shorts covering his important parts, was bare.

'I still underestimated him.' While still in thought, a figure materialised in front of him.

He was caught offguard. Lena was the one in front of him, claws poised to strike!

Her nails had elongated with brown fur was covering arms up to her elbows!

'Shit!' Elder Muti cursed!

But before the claws could penetrate his chest, another set of claws appeared at her right side causing her to abandon the attack and block.

Cracks appeared beneath her feet and her attacker's. It was Mr. Lee who had just appeared just in the nick of time.

"You truly were a dog." She mocked upon seeing his transformation.

Right now fur covered the entirety of Mr. Lee's body and dog ears had replaced his normal ears. He had the genes of a dog.

Both combatants refused to back down and exchanged multiple moves. Mr. Lee was quiet. This time he didn't give in to any taunting.

The battle looked as if they were having a normal brawl, but slightest possible mistake could cost them their lives! They were chipping away at each other, searching for flaws in the opponents defense. Once they caught one, they would proceed to use energy channeling and give them a heavy injury!

They danced around the roof while exchanging moves, leaving only Leo and Elder Muti eyeing each other.

Right now the elder was having reservations. That attack by Leo had uses had made him hesitate. It had just been too strong!

'That idiot! As expected of scientists, they lack battle experience!' If Godfrey hadn't been blown off the roof, he would be retaliating.

'It looks like I will have to stall him until he comes back.'

Elder Muti took in a deep breath. Speed wasn't his forte as he was a long range fighter. Melee brawls were too much for him.

'Genesis!'

That thought caused multiple shoots to shoot out from his body towards Leo. Leo dogged them while retreating but it was like they had eyes! They followed him!

Elder Muti breathed in a sigh of relief upon seeing him not using his sound wave attack.

'I need to be cautious! I didn't think things through! My compatibility with him is the worst!' His eyes flickered as he channeled energy into them to try and see if Mr. Lee was about to win.

A kick with the right leg came horizontally, causing Mr. Lee to arch himself backwards. But he didnt slow down, he also raised his leg into an upper kick, causing his opponent to back down.

He pushed himself off from behind with his hands, regaining his stance, only for sharp claws to enter his vision! His eyes widened, but he moved his hand and caught the wrist! But it still slid from his fingers, turming into a fist to continue its momentum towards his face!

Lenas's fur was wet causing him not to be able to grip the arm tightly.

He shifted his head to the left and the fist passed. He pulled on her arm causing her to stumble towards him. And he channeled energy into his left arm, throwing out a fast punch towards her stomach!

Lena saw the dire situation and used her left arm to hit the side of his arm with enough force to shifi it away. But it still grazed her side causing her to hiss in pain.

She hurriedly escaped his cluthes and retreated.

The two of them stood, ten meters between them, panting. The exchange had been so intense that they hadn't been able to take a breather.

"You are formidable!" She praised. This guy here was tough!

"You too, Mrs. Mpologoma." Mr. Lee also did the same.

'Good thing it only grazed me.' Lena's eyes flickered. She was sure a bruise was going to appear.

Afterimages continuously formed as Leo dodged the branches.

'This is going nowhere!' He jumped a bit further and then he breathed in deeply, but fast and released a narrow stream of air which sliced towards the elder!

It was a sonic blade! It was sound compressed into a narrow stream of air. It was capable of breaking molecular bonds!

Even though the branches growing from his body obstructed his view, elder Muti still felt the crisis! His hair stood on end!

Before he could take any action though, he was sliced in half at the waist! His eyes widened!

'I was still careless!' That was a thought which passed through his mind before pain overtook him.

"But, an attack like this isn't enough to kill me!" He shouted and his two halves which had yet to separate had their flesh one again reconnected! The pain made more wrinkles appear on his face.

"Woah!" Even Leo was amazed when he saw that through his echolocation.

"Elder!" Mr. Lee's shout came in at this time. His heart almost leaped into his throat upon thinking that the elder had died!

He was going to head over only for Lena to block his way.
