RB Chapter 64 Cellular Rearrangement

"So one punch really couldn't take you down!" Chloe moved towards the ant while cracking her knuckles.

Her eyes had an additional excited glow to them.

"Even though he's just a boy, he is still one of the targets for elimination, just like that woman hiding inside the house." The ant explained.

"Besides, our queen is quite interested in that clone's genes."

A chill ran down Eric's spine when he heard about that.

'It looks like many people might target me in the future.' He raised his head. There was no sign of the expected emotions which could have been brought about by Lisa's words.

After catching sight of Eric's face, Chloe exhaled, as if a pent up breath was being released.

The screaming of the air caused her attention to shift back to the creature.

"Anyone who blocks the way of the queen's goals is our enemy!"

The words in that sentence only reached her ears when the soldier ant appeared in front of her!

Its upper arms, both the right and left were poised in to punch!

It towered over her. She only reached up to its chest! But there was no fear in her blue eyes, only a burning will to fight!

As the punches enlarged in front of her, she raised her palms to meet them!

Electrical sparks were jumping on them! Soldier one didn't slow down in the slightest! That caused her to wonder how it was going to deal with the electricity.

A burst of shockwaves pushed the falling raindrops away!

Eric had to shield his eyes and scar to prevent injury.

'I must aid her!' That was the only thought in his mind right now. If they didn't take care of the ant, there was no way that they would be able to save Lisa.

When his vision became clearer, he was shocked!

A black armor had materialised all over the ants body! It was all black, and except for its eyes, it covered every inch.

The green pupils made for a menacing look paired with the armor.

'Chance!'

Eric vanished from behind Chloe and instantaneously appeared to the right side of the ant.

He threw a fast moving punch with such force and speed, that the air in front of it compressed and ignited, causing an orange glow to appear in front of his fist!

The water droplets that the fist collided with turned into vapour!

He didn't try to add any electricity as that proved to not be working!

Instead, he threw a fast and heavy punch, using the energy reserves equivalent to one entire energy capsule!

The ant was caught off guard, causing the punch to connect with its ribs!

Eric's eyes abruptly widened when his punch made contact with the black armor!

There was no other sound effect except for a soft sonic boom!

He felt as if he had just punched cotton! As he looked towards the spot his punch was in contact with, ripples had appeared on the armor and created folds on it. They only stopped when they reached just below the armpits of the second right arm.

Eric hurriedly jumped away, his face thick with incomprehension.

Chloe also produced a force where her arms were in contact with the ant's fists, repeeling herself away.

Both were puzzled as to why their attacks didn't work!

"Hahahahahahaha...boy! Thanks for the kinetic energy!" The soldier ant's voice reverberated in the air.

It didn't pause for one second and instead went on the offensive. Its target was Chloe! She didn't back away or evade.

She also met the ant head on, exchanging a multitude of punches and kicks!

Chloe started frowning through the exchange. Her attacks felt like they sank into a swamp! Every time a kick or punch connected, more ripple like folds appeared in the armor!

She hurriedly jumped away upon getting a chance and observed the ant opposite her. Its armor was filled with creases making it look unappealing!

'What is happening?'

'What is up with that armor?' Eric was also wondering the same question.

"Hey! Chloe! Have you noticed anything?"

"Nothing so far!" Chloe was too occupied with thought that she didn't even reprimand him for his rude way of calling her this time.

The soldier ant didn't utter any words! Instead it once again raced towards Chloe! It appeared in front of her and threw a normal punch.

She retaliated and her fist met its! But her eyes widened when nothing came into contact with her thrown punch!.

It had been nothing more than an afterimage!

It's true self had just appeared in front of Eric when Chloe was throwing the punch.

'Boy! I will disable you first and then have a one on one battle with that woman!' It thought!

Its right arm once again threw the same punch but this time, faster, far faster than even when Eric punched it! The target was his chest!

As the punch moved towards him, he caught sight of something that caused them to widen! The frozen ripples all started moving and congregated to wards its fist!

No thought was required! His body moved instinctively to avoid danger!

He had swallowed around five pills altogether and he had only used up the energy of one! So his body dispersed rest of that energy into his cells and they all temporarily turned into electrocytes!

Electric arcs circulated across his entire body before the punch passed through it to decimate the place he had been standing on.

The punch didn't make any contact with the ground, but the compressed burning plasma spontaneously expanded and hit the roof with such force that it collapsed!

A hole, about five Meters in diameter opened up on the roof! If you looked closely, you could see that the shockwaves of the punch had even created multiple holes on three separate building floors!

Chloe who had been about to look around was startled when an electric figure appeared by her side!

She breathed in a sigh of relief when she saw that it was Eric.

His face was pale and he was tottering, on the verge of collapsing!

"Ener...gy...cap...sules!" That was all he managed to get out before falling to the ground and losing consciousness.

His entire body was in pain! He had stimulated his neurons and muscles with electricity, causing them to work beyond their limits!

Chloe didn't dawdle! She hurriedly stuffed a few pills into his mouth, sat him up and hit his back, causing him to swallow them.

She breathed in a sigh of relief and hurriedly looked towards the ant.

Right now, her eyes had become solemn! That punch had surpassed a level and vaulted itself into another dimension! Such force almost rivalled the full powered attack of an energy channeler using the equivalent of five energy pills!

"If I am not mistaken, cellular rearrangement, right?" She asked.

Lisa was currently picking herself up! The shockwave had produced a thunderous sound, nocking her off her chair.

The microphones had been set to the highest due to the weather, causing them to pick up all that loud sound.

She tremblingly reset the chair and occupied it.

Fear was all that was contained in her gaze as she looked at the giant ant on the screen!

"Does that matter?" The soldier ant asked.

"You are right! What matters is defeating you!" Chloe said as she stood up.

'Damn! I would have died if my body hadn't acted instinctively!' Eric regained consciousness pretty fast. It was mostly due to the large amount of energy reinvigorating his cells. It was causing his body to spasm in pain as they absorbed it to repair themselves.

'I never knew cellular rearrangement could cause the birth of such a monster!...wait! How is it calculating every possible cellular arrangement without burning out its brain?' Eric's eyes abruptly sprang open!

"How are you able to handle all the calculations needed?" His question was verbalized by Chloe.

"Of course I can't!" It said before once again springing towards her.

Chloe was prepared this time so she also retaliated! It was hand to hand combat, but any mistake would be fatal! The attacks which missed managed to produce a few cracks on the surface of the roof.

She could go toe to toe with the creature because of energy channeling! But it also had that weird armor which absorbed the kinetic energy and stored it. She could do nothing about that even though she knew it was forcing her to attack so that it could store more energy.

'How can we take it down?' Eric pondered. He had managed to rise to his knees and was observing all the exchanges taking place to try and spot a weakness!

'Currently, even if I push myself, I can't release a blow capable of overwhelming its kinetic storage capabilities. I doubt Chloe can do so either. Should I use plasma?'

He saw that every time her attack connected, an imprint was almost left in the ant's armor, a sign that the compressed air in her fists and kicks had been compressed to the point that it heated up due to friction. But it still wasn't hot enough to burn through the armor!

'Plasma is a double aged sword!'

If any slight control was lost, you could burn off an entire arm!
