RB Chapter 63 Cruel Truth
Lena stared at Leo inquisitively. She was waiting for an answer, and depending on it, she might shout at him!
The intimidating atmosphere around Leo's body didn't abate even though the two opponents had vanished below, instead, it only increased in intensity!
"Order all of the people to evacuate! They must also take Elena with them and hide underground. This entire building is going to be destroyed."
A smile formed on Leo's lips the moment he finished. His eyes had a glow, as if he had found something interesting to do.
"Okay." Lena's heart beat had sped up involuntarily when she saw his smile. It was a smile of someone who wanted to let loose!
------
"Elder, what are our plans?" Mr. Lee asked the moment they reached the ground. They were standing beside the tree top which had fallen on the pile of ants.
No injuries were visible on their bodies.
"We need to find another powerful person. But that is going to prove problematic. Even though the clan leaders of some clans have no inkling of energy channeling knowledge, they have mastered their genetic abilities to such a level that they can go toe to toe with our energy channeling experts." Elder Muti had his hand on his chin.
"Can't we take them on ourselves?" Mr. Lee asked in puzzlement.
"It would have been doable if that Lion didn't have those troublesome sound abilities!" Elder Muti sighed in exasperation.
"Let's call back Chloe. Baguma must have not appeared even now." Mr. Lee suggested.
"That would have been a good idea, but she is too far away. Before she arrives, Leo might lose patience and attack."
"I have no choice but to call him!" Elder Muti felt a headache coming on.
Mr. Lee offered him a phone and he dialed a number.
-------
The rain was heavily pounding the trio of people standing on top of a roof.
They were Eric, Godfrey and that four armed soldier ant. Except for the corpses of the normal humanoid ants, there were no other living ants on the roof.
The soldier ant had ordered their retreat. They were currently wreaking havoc in the building.
"When is Baguma arriving, boy! We have been waiting for almost five minutes!" The soldier ant shouted in impatience.

"He will come!" Eric simply said calmly.
His composure made the soldier ant calm down.
'I need to stay in control of the situation.' His eyes were flickering but no one could see it well through the heavy rain.
A unique ringtone reverberated in this quiet atmosphere, causing all to turn their attentions to the source. It was Godfrey. He rummaged through the pockets of his pants.
The soldier ant's green eyes flickered dangerously and it abruptly vanished on the spot when Godfrey had become occupied by something else!
It instantly appeared in front of a horrified Eric and launched two punched with both of its right arms!
Eric hurriedly commanded his body to move even as his brain released a pulse of invisible energy!
The soldier ant's vision slackened and it slowed down a little causing Eric to evade to the side and the punches to miss!
Eric's face paled when he saw the air wave that they had created had travelled a few meters! All the rain drops in their path had been scattered into mist!
The ant once again regained its vision and its head turned to its right where Eric had moved towards after pulling off that evasive maneuver.
It didn't let up at all and spun to the right, this time, with the two left hands poised in fist form.
'I have wrung out all the energy! If I exhaust any more, the consequences will be dire!' Eric thought as his face took on an ugly expression.
He was even more shocked upon the realisation that the ant hadn't fainted!
"You brat! Why did you leave me behind!" Someone shouted and both the attentions of the ant and Eric shifted towards her. She had just launched herself up in the air on the edge where the ant and Eric were!
Her right hand was in the middle of throwing a punch aimed at the ant. Electrical snakes were slithering on her slender arm.
The ant abandoned its attack towards Eric and poised its left arms into a shield! Its skin even took on a dark tone as a black exoskeleton materialised around its arms.
The smell of charred meat wafted through the air when the punch made contact with the arms. And the ant was thrown away as if it had been repelled, colliding with the house.

"He he he...this weather is actually good for me." Chloe chuckled smugly upon landing onto the edge of the building.
"Give me energy capsules!" Eric's voice made a frown appear on her face.
"You do know that I am not your servant, right?" She complained, but still took out a bunch of capsules and passed them to him.
"I am coming. Give me five minutes." Godfrey simply said through the receiver when he answered.
"I would have liked to wait for Baguma, but since he isn't showing any signs is coming, I am going." He looked directly at Eric before jumping off the west side of building.
'Did he figure out something?' Eric felt a chill when that gaze lingered on him.
"What is he talking about? Didn't you already tell me that Baguma is dead?" Chloe shouted and he failed to stop him since he was still digesting the massive energy he had taken in.
------
"What!? That can't be true! That man isn't capable of dying that simply!" Lisa trembled and fell down upon hearing the knees through the microphones.
"He died! Died! Died! Died!...hahahahahahahahhahahaha..." Deranged laughter escaped her lips coupled with tears.
"Why am I crying? He's dead! I should be happy. Why are these tears falling? Why? Why? Why?" She shouted at no one in particular.
"Wait! What about Eric, my son?"
Eric flinched when he heard that question.
"He also died." He mumbled.
"What did you say, I didn't hear you well." The voice boomed in his ears, coupled with his currently unstable emotions, his facial scar, bled a little.
"He died!" He didn't know whether it was from the pain of the scar, the grief or something else entirely, but he shouted out those words.
"Then, why are you still alive? Why are you still in this world when they have died? Shouldn't you have died with them? Or better yet, sacrificed yourself so that they could live?" The shrill voice grated his ears. He felt as if his hear had shattered into a million pieces.
"Why are you shouting at an innocent boy?" Chloe berated. She was enraged. Wasn't this woman supposed to be his mother? Even if the boy was a clone, he was still her son!
"What do you know? He is just a clone! He will never be my real son! For all I know, he might have led to the deaths of my husband and son!"
"Oh! Now you call him husband?" Chloe asked with a hint of sarcasm.
"Yes! Even though our marriage wasn't going well, he was my husband! Tell me boy, why are you alive instead of them?"
Eric had his head lowered and no one could judge what kind of expression he was making. Blood continuously dropped down from his face and mixed with the rain water.
"They...Elec...died instantly...right in front of my eyes."
"Baguma...he fought back...but it was too strong!"
The two women listened as he said the words with difficulty.
"You are strong, woman! I must have sensed you when I was wallowing in boredom." The soldier ant which had crashed on the walls of the house stood up and shook its body.
Both its right arms pulled on its left ones, separating them from its body. They were burnt on the inside, but the exoskeleton was intact!
"You are part of our association, why did you attack me?" It asked as flesh started growing out if the left stumps trying to form new arms.
"Oh! Regeneration. Your target was only Baguma, right? Why did you attack the boy?" Chloe asked. She wasn't particularly surprised that the ant was still alive.
"Our conversation must continue! Don't interrupt us!" Lisa shouted and the remaining laser guns shifted their aims towards the ant as if they were incarnations of her rage.
Laser beams were fired and the ant didn't make any effort to dodge. They destroyed parts of its body and made see through holes in it.
But what surprised them was that flesh was regrowing in the destroyed parts!
Its head hadn't been in the line of fire.
"Target its head! We will see if it truly is unkillable!" Lisa shouted.
The ant vanished on the spot and three explosions sounded afterward. They had appeared in the positions the guns had been in!
"Such things can easily be destroyed. Stay quiet, after I finish these two off, you are next!" A menacing look appeared on the screens causing Lisa to take a step back in fear.
