RB Chapter 61 The House On Top (2)
Darkness, with no speck of light was what entered Eric's vision when he arrived at the floor. That ominous laughter was most definitely from this floor. That was what he was certain of.
But what puzzled him, was that no ant appeared to even want to enter this floor. And no ants appeared in his vision as he made his way around to search for a staircase.
He hadn't had any time to freely explore this building as he had been acting as Elec's bodyguard.
But he wasn't without options, he was currently cycling between multiple visions and it would only be a matter of time before he detected one.
'I need to find the fastest way, should I hijack an ant and get it to take me up? No no no, those things are just drones. They wouldn't even care about their lives, so that can't be done.'
As he raced down a certain hallway, light finally managed to appear in his vision. It wasn't that bright.
He appeared by a broken window. Rain and wind started to once again pelt him. It was too windy. He looked out and above, and he vaguely caught sight if figures which could only be ants, climbing towards the top. Even down, there were many still clambering upwards.
'Its time to try it!' His eyes lit up like stars as he resolved himself.
He jumped up, placed his hands at the top of something which was jutting out of the window and did a somersault using his hands as the pivot.
He activated all the energy he currently had in his body and everything within his line of sight slowed down.
He used the tiny frictional force created when his hands and feet made contact with the glass to push himself up! He moved so fast that gravity didn't even have to time to impact his body! He was using a tiny magnetic force by creating a charge which adhered to the metal the building was made put of!
What could be observed from a far was a blue streak ascending the front facing side of the building.
------
Up on the roof, laser beams were still felling many of the humanoid ants. The roof was filled with many of their bodies. Blood and guts intermixed with the rain water to create a red color which permeated the entire roof, with some pouring at the sides of the building.

Lisa was currently in a state of panic. Only around three of the ten laser guns were still in firing condition. The others had already been destroyed.
The ants had finally managed to get close to the house and were using their powerful limbs and mandibles to try and destroy the walls. The house was still holding for now, but who knew how long it was gonna last!
"Shit! Shit! Shit! Where is Eric?" She asked the AI.
[There are no visuals of him at the moment.]
The AI had lost Eric the moment he had entered the dark floor. Up to now, he hadn't appeared on any of the screens.
"What do I do?" She was in the middle of worrying.
There was an escape route, an elevator in the house which could directly descend to the lower floors, but the elevator shaft had been compromised. If she tried to take the elevator, the chances of death were high!
"Move! You weaklings!" That was when the microphones located on the outside facing cameras caught a deep male voice.
"Who would be up right now?" She asked out loud.
At the front of the house, where the ants were blocking the view were located, a space appeared.
They had moved sideways, obediently and a path was created in their midst. A terrifying figure, entered Lisa's vision causing her breath to be caught in her lungs. It was something, huge! Larger than the ants which had been attacking.
The human head in contrast to the rest of its body made a for a picture straight out of a horror movie!
It had four human arms, which were located on its thorax. Two study looking legs, jutting out of the middle of its thorax and abdomen. Its abdomen was located behind the legs, raised up from the ground.
Six wings were adorning its back, with feelers were jutting out of its forehead.
"I know you can see me, whoever is inside. Has Baguma arrived? I have been bored, and I feel like sparring with some of the strong people!" it had scary grin on its face.
"What?...Who are you?"
"Oh! The cameras even have speakers? Anyway, my queen sent me here to defeat Baguma in case he appeared, but so far, I haven't seen him. But as I was relaxing and reveling in the boredom, something interesting caught the attention of my feelers, a powerful being, capable of rivalling me! But I can't see anyone." It moved its head around as it spoke.

"What is your name? Were you a human?"
"My name is simply Soldier One. I know you are stalling, but what could it be for, so far I haven't come across anyone here, are they hiding?" It looked around.
"Come on out, whoever's hiding!" It shouted.
"Why are you shouting? I was waiting to fight Baguma too, but it seems I will have to head over and assist the old geezer." Someone sighed before appearing from somewhere near ant body.
Soldier One stiffened when he heard the voice. And when he looked to the side, he was shocked to see that a male with dishevelled hair and wearing glasses had stood up from behind a corpse. He was shirtless and a line could be seen closing on his stomach.
"I have to thank the defenses of this house, they have managed to give me enough corpses to accumulate energy." He adjusted his glasses with his left index finger while looking towards the house.
"Kizike!!! Where were you hiding?" The voice from the speakers had turned shrill.
"So, this attack was orchestrated by the ATTCA!?" Lisa was surprised! The association had hidden its power a little bit too deeply!
"Of course! All the other clans are also under attack!" Godfrey confirmed.
"So it was you! How depressing! Now, where are the corpses? The number isn't adding up." Its eyes narrowed dangerously.
"They have been put to good use!" Godfrey answered calmly. He didn't appear to be intimidated at all!
"My queen likes to reclaim all the corpses, unless they have been destroyed thoroughly, so I am going to ask you to give them back." A heavy atmosphere appeared between the two of them.
The pressure alone caused the normal humanoid ants to give the two a wide berth.
Something cutting through the air at the edge of the skyscraper, caused them to simultaneous place their attention towards it.
Water splattered as someone's feet touched the ground of the roof. He staggered a little before managing to steady himself.
Lisa, who was watching the monitors trembled involuntarily when that figure entered her eyes.
Even with the heavy rain, she could see him clearly! It was Eric, missing a part of his right arm and an ugly scar separating the features of his face.
He was panting heavily and appeared to be unsteady on his feet.
"Hmmm!?" Such a sound leaked out of his mouth once he took stock of his surroundings.
The two powerful people facing him alone was enough to give him the shivers. Even though they weren't at the same level as that monster, they were at Baguma's level at least.
"Kizike and...?" His gaze moved away from Godfrey and settled in the humanoid ant.
"A weakling has arrived! Little kid, I am not in the mood to fight weaklings like you, so scurry off!" Soldier One waved his hands as if he was chasing away a bug.
'I have used up all my energy reserves. How will I manage to escape from these two and save Lisa?' He asked himself.
"Eric! Where is Baguma and Elec."
That question was enough to have his face change drastically to adorn a dark expression.
His heartbeat sped up and he wished he could run away from there right then!
'How do I tell her?' He lowered his head and thought of what to say, but nothing was coming to mind.
"Oh! Boy! You know where Baguma is?" Soldier One asked. Even Godfrey's eyes were flickering with curiosity.
'The clone appears to be heavily injured, what happened? Wait! This might be the best time to try and posses it! But, this ant.' His eyes flickered between the two. He was wondering if this ant would try to stop him.
'I need to watch a little bit longer and see how this develops. Besides, I want to go and see that epic battle! If I can't have him, I will just go west.' Godfrey turned his vision towards the west. He couldn't see anything, but he was sure that a dangerous battle was taking place there.
"He is currently climbing up!" Eric answered.
"Hahahahaha...finally!" Soldier One's green pupils lit up. He banged his four fists together in pairs with a look of anticipation on his face.
'Chloe, hurry up and arrive!' Eric prayed.
For some reason, when Eric said that, no voice once again came out of the speakers.
