RB Chapter 39 I Am Leo

What they didn't know, was that someone else was going to interfere. By only focussing on themselves, they missed someone high up! A predator at the top of the food chain!

His mouth was currently spotting a grin of excitement! He was finally going to go wild!

"I will use one move and show them that using me and my daughter in their schemes comes with consequences!" He mumbled. The other reason he didn't actively try to fight Kizike was because he was a pawn to them. But this guy was an important member!

Leo Mpologoma, who had been standing on the edge of the roof, took one step and dropped from the building. His ears were taking in the sounds from the knock back of the soundwaves he emitted by clicking his tongue. He was constructing an entire image of the scene under him. But it wasn't merely the echoing sound! The sound from other things also helped to add color to the image inside his head!

The voices of the crowd, the movement of feet, the sound of breathing, the pumping of the heart! Everything was being channeled into his auditory canal!

Among all the people, Ntenume's heart beat was the strongest! After all he had sped up the blood flow in his body.

Leo was homing in on him.

Ntenume kicked the ground causing a minor crater to be left behind. This was because of his application of force! He launched his body at twice the speed that Ivy slithered across the ground!

'The police force must not be undermined! Even though she has exhausted a little bit of energy and am taking advantage of that, the pride of police force comes first!' His eyes left a red trail as he raced towards her.

He had broken the sound barrier in an instant, causing a 'boom!' to echo out.

Leo who had been dropping down from above accurately grasped Ntenume's movement speed even though the sound created when he broke the sound barrier was supposed to be hindering his senses.

The moment the man was about to react directly under him, he widened his mouth and emitted something destructive!

Ntenume, whose concentration had been on Ivy, calculating all the possible maneuvers she might take to evade him was crushed flat onto the ground! Vibrations were passing through his body at such a high frequency that he felt as if all his cells might die!

Ivy was shocked when Ntenume crushed into the pavement and formed a crater which was still deepening in her vision! His body was sinking and forming a human formed depression in the ground coupled with the sinking soil around him.

Amidst all that, someone floated down calmly riding the vibrating air waves.

He stopped the attack and landed as light as a feather on the sunken Ntenume's back.

Ntenume had gotten soaked in blood as it had been forced out of his pores by the vibrations. He was unconscious and his state was unknown, whether he was dead or alive!

"I am Leo." The man introduced himself that simply to the speechless crowd! Sound had vanished and his voice was the only thing the crowd heard! Even though he was a few feet below level ground, the people still felt as if he was towering over them.

That signature arrogance and his appearance was all ingrained in every citizen's mind! He was a legend! Even though most hadn't seen of his incredible feats, they all knew that he was the strongest man in Kampala city.

No one was daring to utter any word or breath loudly! Some had even stopped breathing altogether! Even those watching through their phones looked to have been intimidated by the man!

"Leo!!!" Ivy nearly squealed as a little girl with stars in her eyes!

Someone, somewhere, crushed his table the moment he saw the man pop up to save the woman he liked.

"Oh! Ivy! Thank you for coming to save my useless daughter, but I will take the rest from here." He said. Ivy had more words she wanted to say but she ultimately swallowed them back. The man's heavy gaze was telling her that it was time to go home, she wasn't needed here.

She knew that he cared a lot about his pride! If she didn't listen, she would be offending him.

"Yes, my work here is done! Elena, til we meet again." She said before walking out of the alley. The crowd parted to make way for her. They were still reeling from her previous battle. She had been scary!

A grin which exposed his teeth spread on his mouth as he shifted his attention to his daughter.

"Elena, your father's here! There is no need for you to hide under there like a rat! Your mother's waiting!" He still had that grin on his face and his hands were crossed.

"You..." A sound was emitted from Ntenume who was under Leo's feet.

"Oh! Your body is truly durable! I thought it would take a while for you to wake up!" Leo didn't make any attempt of moving away from the man's back.

"You see Ntenume, plotting against me is something which must have a price! I would have directly scrambled your genetic sequence if I had used my full strength, but this is just a punishment." He spoke calmly and everyone in the audience could hear his words.

"My daughter was plotted against. This charade will end here and now. If you don't agree, you may come out and fight me." His eyes moved around as he scanned the crowd at one end of the alley. Everyone who appeared in the path of those eyes shrank back.

"What the hell is that young one doing???" A loud voice was heard coming from inside a hut.

Veins were currently bulging on elder Muti's neck! Everything had fallen out of plan the moment that lion intervened. He was supposed to save the girl quietly so that the public would continue to seethe! Right now he blatantly scaring them!

"Come pick me up and take me to the nearest broadcast station! quick!" He called someone after turning off the live feed. Right now he didn't need the public to back off! That would be bad for their plans! Leo was practically extinguishing the flames which had started!

He exited the hut in long strides and headed towards the rooftop elevator which had been built into this building for his personal use. Of course, his subordinates also used it.

"All that happened today is going to end." Lena commented as she watched the video feed. It was currently 7:34pm.

The lights in the alley, those which hadn't been destroyed in the battles, lit up Leo's face.

He emitted a certain intensity, which was making the crowd to not dare to talk back to him.

He stepped off Ntenume's back, out of the crater and headed for Elena who continued to huddle in the shadows of the staircase.

He crouched down and pulled her out, lifting her onto his shoulder like a sack.

A groan escaped the girl's lips. The pain receptors which she had turned off had turned on again without her knowledge. But groaning was all she could do as she didn't even have any energy to writhe around. Her arm was merely waving around like pendulum since it was only connected to her elbow with scant pieces of muscle.

Leo picked a direction, and proceeded to walk out of the alley at a leisurely pace. He was taunting the crowd to see if anyone with guts would come out after all, he could have just leaped up and vanished into the rooftops.

'This is true power.' Eric thought. His heart was beating excitedly! Ever since the man made such an entrance and the way he carried himself, as if nothing could threaten him, had all excited him! This was how he wanted to be, someone so strong that no one dares to say anything in front of him.

"Mr. Leo truly is legendary!" Elec who had his breath caught in his throat finally let it out. The man's presence wasn't even diminished when watching it on screen!

"It looks like all those tales I heard about him are true." Elec nodded repeatedly with shining eyes as if he had finally grasped something.

'I need to master my abilities if I want to become like him. I have only scratched the surface of my potential!' He placed his hand on his chin while cycling through his known abilities in his mind.

The time is 7:54pm. The crowd, which had been blocking the Mpologoma clan's main building had scattered the moment Leo arrived. You could see broken glass and destroyed pavement in front of the building.

That had mainly been caused by the people who had launched themselves in the sky so that they could attach themselves to the walls of the building.

The people had all scattered and if it wasn't for the damage, you would have never known that they had been here at all!

Mpologoma was seated opposite his wife with only a desk between them. He was grinning, while she, was glaring!

That was how it had been for the past one minute!

Leo Mpologoma, dubbed the strongest man in Kampala city. He has echolocation, a genetic ability from bats which takes up one of his genetic slots. You all know how it works, but he takes his a step further! Even without releasing any sound himself, he can use the sounds he hears to construct a mental image! It is supplemented with his powerful hearing which can pick up the heart beat of a single person within a crowd!
