RB Chapter 33 Carnage Trail!

Godfrey was currently wondering why these idiots were just standing around! They should chase her!

He had tried to goad them on but that had failed!

Something moved in the corner of his eye as he was still frustrated and thinking of how to get these people to move.

He caught sight of a certain eight legged friend launch off of the glass domed roof only to land by the window.

He moved his head into it to see what was happening only to pale at what he was seeing!

Blood was everywhere! Torn limbs, pieces of flesh and puddles of blood, littered the corridor.

He caught sight of the culprit who was busy crushing a thumb bone and devouring it.

She was on all her limbs. Her gaze had been towards the window and their eyes had happened to meet.

Hers had reddened and the spider guy couldn't see any semblance of intelligence left.

"All of you! Come! We need to catch her! She has gone rabid!" He shouted and was the first to act.

He launched towards her. He had shortened his limbs and instantly extended them.

He spat something out of his mouth which widened and turned into a white net like thing which headed towards Elena.

The instincts of a beast screamed danger causing the brown hair at the back of her neck to rise up!

She crouched low, and then kicked off from the tiled floor with such force that the tiles shattered!

Instead of moving forwards, her body shot backwards.

The net simply hit the floor. But spider guy ignored it and instead chased after Elena.

He was determined to catch her! A thought had occurred to him and he was having suspicions that this entire event was moving along to someone's plans. That someone was in the shadows! He had to find out who!

The moment the beastly Elena's body hit the floor, she turned around and raced off! She turned a corner and bumped into someone.

That someone didn't expect her and was instantly decapitated! Even she hadn't expected the person! But her beastly instincts which were controlling the body had automatically judged the guy as a threat.

As his head was flying through the air, she raced past him and threw a casual attack at someone who had squeezed herself to the side of the hallway in terror.

A blood line appeared at the thighs of the woman. She had severed her legs and a bit of the skirt.

Potential dangers had to also be neutralised! The instincts were also somehow drawing a little bit of intellect from her brain.

She raced down the hallway. Anyone who appeared, she delivered a slash or even a bite!

Spider guy was appalled by the injured and dead he met!

'She is attacking everyone she comes across! I need to speed up!' He thought. She was just five meters from him but she had a knack for sensing danger. Every time he opened his mouth, her muscles tensed! She was preparing to evade!

He chased her through hallways, flights of stairs, and even rooms. A trail of blood was left in their wake.

The others who had gained the courage to follow, were following the trail of the blood and limbs, not to mention the groaning of the injured.

Some were gasping upon seeing the carnage, while the others emptied their stomachs upon seeing the gruesome scenes.

"As you can see here, many wounded are being rushed to the hospital. This is the largest number of deaths in a single day since the walls were built around this city!" A reporter was walking through a building and following the carnage trail.

It was currently 7:00pm. The carnage had lasted until this hour!

"Many people are of the thought that since we aren't seeing any new dead bodies or injured, the perpetrator must have run out of energy. She is now in hiding and the police is actively searching for her. Right now, no clues have been found, but if something is found, we will notify you first." He ended. The feed was switched to other news, though it was still related to the incident.

"Haaa...Godfrey truly created a raging infernal. But did he have to make her rampage for that long! Now even we are starting to face the public's criticism!" Ntenume sighed as he fell back into the backrest of his chair.

Since she started rampaging at around 2:50pm, it had gone on for up to 6:57pm. Even the bull squad had tried to restrain her but some had died and only two were left! And they had severe injuries!

Ntenume was mostly moaning the loss of the bull squad. Most of the public anger was directed towards the ten clans. They clearly had the power to stop the girl, but no clan had fielded anyone to try and apprehend her! No statements had even been released! It was like they had gone quiet!

"I wonder what the ten clans are up to. This quietness is fishy." Ntenume stroked his beardless chin.

"How much ATP do you need to have, in order to slaughter people for four hours straight?" Elec threw his phone onto his bed and asked.

He was laying down on his back with his legs dangling off the side of the bed.

Eric had been the first to stop surfing the video feeds around an hour ago. He was simply hugging his knees deep in thought.

'Someone actually made something which can give a person unlimited energy four hours straight. I think there will be consequences. She must be severely drained. Chaos is coming. I need to get a good grasp of my abilities if I want to survive.'

Someone was trembling in the darkness. She was squatting underneath a staircase. She was naked but you could barely catch sight of any skin.

The darkness and something coating her body prevented that.

Her trembles didn't come from something like coldness. Instead chaos was in her mind and it was the one which was causing the trembling.

'I killed...I...devoured human flesh! How many, I don't remember! Why can't I remember! All I remember is slashing, biting and feeding. It was exhilarating and delicious! But how can I have such feelings when what I was devouring was human flesh?'

She shook her head vigorously to try and get rid of the blurry images which she had managed to remember.

Her trembling intensified. She felt sticky all over her body. Even her hair was dripping with liquid.

That liquid was blood! Her entire body was coated in it. Some of it had dried while some was still fresh.

'I murdered people...there might have been children among them. It all started when I pulled that thing out of my butt. It must have been Kizike. But what's the point of knowing? Right now, except for a few people, no one would believe me.' She thought.

She felt her eyelids getting heavy after sometime. The tension had left her body and right now she felt herself relax. She could also feel that a dull pain was starting to come from every part of her body.

(Why did you kill me!) Multiple voices asked.

"Aaaaaaah!" She woke up and stood up in hurry such that her head even hit the top of the stairs. She didn't even have the time to groan in pain as look of terror graced her face.

A certain leading geneticist once said, "what if a supercell was capable of holding a little part of someone's will or in other words, a soul? Someone came to me and told me that he once got a blood transfusion from another person. It was like he formed a connection with the owner of the blood and started going through unexplainable things. What if what is limiting the supercells is us?"

Elena was almost in the same position. But hers, was a nightmare.

"Wha-what was that?" She mumbled.

Her heart had sped up. That had been so real! It had been like someone had been shouting in her ear!

She vigilantly looked around. This alley in between two buildings was dark, the reason, the sun had gone down the western horizon. Day was becoming night. She was still around the western part of the city. That was the only silver lining she found solace in. She could tell because she recognised the buildings.

If her rampage had taken her further away, she could have been in big trouble!

She was starting to wonder why her mother hadn't yet sent out another team to find her.

The Mpologoma headquarters, the tallest building in the western part of the city. The emblazoned logo had been painted on with electrical conducting paint. Once electricity passed through the paint, it released light.

The crowd gathered outside felt as if the Mpologoma clan was mocking them once the logo lit up. It also signified that night had come.

They were now clamoring to enter the building. The crowd had grown to such epic proportions that the road in front of the building had become congested. Traffic had already been redirected by the work of traffic officers.

The police couldn't handle the now incensed crowd. Some were even using their genetic abilities to try and break into the building. Of course, any who did were thrown out by the people barricaded inside. It was chaos!

In a dimly lit office, five people were currently standing in a line in front of the office desk. It looked like this was a new one as the broken one was nowhere to be seen.

"Our queen! What are we going to do? The princess is suffering outside and the people are trying to break into the building!" A slender male asked. Panic was in his voice. All the people standing were all visibly panicking. The crowd outside was terrifying! It was out for blood!
