RB Chapter 27 Tense!
A drop of sweat rolled down a cheek and splattered onto the concrete ground. The stain didn't last as it all evaporated.
The heat was at its hottest, there was no wind, except for the occasional siren sound emitted from the police cars, here, high up was mostly quiet.
'I need to calm down!' Cheetah One thought as more droplets of sweat ran down her face. Temperature wasn't the main problem to her but, this wait. It was straining on her.
The team had used 3 minutes to move from the Mpologoma clan headquarters in the west to Elena. They had injected ATP and ran at the fastest they could! They had the DNA of cheetahs and due to the supercells, it had been strengthened considerably.
She, and the team didn't even get any time to rest, before, they were alerted to a strong enemy!
Even though they hadn't used up the previous energy from the first shot, they hadn't hesitated to inject more.
All of Cheetah One's senses were heightened! Smell, hearing and vision! She was even occasionally clicking her tongue. A sign that she had echolocation!
Her brain was interpreting all that and forming an image of the surrounding 500 meters with her as the center.
'The miss is about to go out of my range.' That thought passed through her mind.
"The moment the enemy is registered in our domains, we move!" She ordered. They didn't answer but she knew that they had acknowledged.
"Hooo..." She lent out a pent up breath and crouched. Every individual muscle in her body was poised to spring. Her eyes became vertical slits.
'Good thing this skirt has a long slit.' She praised her foresight.
Her eyes lit up! Just like the others! Something had entered into their domains!
A man, having hair like a bird's nest, clad in a white lab coat which had been unbuttoned, showing the suit underneath.
Every hair on their skin, even their head literally stood up!
He kicked off the edge of a building causing a few cracks to form where his feet had been. He was too fast! Like an artillery shell! And it seemed like he had noticed them too, since he had kicked off with such force that, he was going to pass over all the buildings in the way and land on the roof they were on!
'Godfrey Kizike!!! Let's use this as a chance!' Cheetah One's body heated up! Even though she was surprised, her mind remained calm. She had decided to attack while he was in midair with no footing.

A blur! That's all it was! The entire team had gone from zero to fast in an instant! It didn't even take a second for them to jump from this building to the next!
If you were looking at the two parties, you would see that they were way faster than Kizike.
'Her hunting dogs, huh! I don't want them delaying me! I need to end this fast before that girl slips through my fingers.' He thought.
He was seeing them perfectly even though they were faster than him. He was a man with the rare gift of dynamic vision!
The distance shrunk with every nano second!
At about ten meters, with Kizike still in mid air and the women on top of a building, they pulled out some things which had been hidden in their attires.
'What's that!?' He wondered.
'These weapons aren't known by anyone! This will be the first time we show them!' The team were all placing their hope on these nail looking metallic things.
Cheetah One's hand blurred as the objects pierced through the air towards the airborne Godfrey. She had aimed a few cm in front of her targets. The head, heart and the neck! Three, all aimed fatally!
Her teammates on the other hand aimed at the non fatal ones.
The air was screeching! The friction alone caused by the objects was no joke, a testament to their speed!
'These people underestimate me!' He clicked his tongue.
The first to arrive, were the three nails thrown by Cheetah One. They were in a vertical straight line, from the head to the chest!
Kizike moved an arm and placed it in front of him. Black could be seen along where the lab coat and suit failed to reach. It was like something black was coating the back of his palm all the way into the sleeves.
It wasn't limited to only his hand, his entire body had been coated!
"Hmmm!?" The three nails dug holes. It was like there was no defense whatsoever!
'What!?' The moment the full length of the nails entered his arm,.minute explosions erupted, blowing it into three segments!
As floating flesh and blood appeared in front of his widened brown pupils, the other nails arrived and embedded themselves into the other nonfatal areas.
Except for the head and a potion of the chest, all the other parts had been disconnected from his body, simply floating in place with blood and muscle fibers in the air!

'Shit!' Cheetah One, down on the roof of a building cursed mentally.
Even though the team had thrown the nails, they hadn't slowed down!
The moment she, who was leading them reached the edge of this building, her speed dropped a tiny bit as she pushed off into the air.
The moment she did, another increased her speed and reached the same spot she had been in, under her. She didn't slow down but instead leaped up and her palms made contact with Cheetah One's bare feet!
She exerted all her strength and pushed! Transferring all that momentum to her. While she herself fell back to be caught by her teammates!
Cheetah One, who had been pushed off by her team member reached speeds far faster than before!
She produced a dagger in her right hand held in reverse grip. It was dark, just like the nails they had thrown!
With her momentum, she bypassed Godfrey only for a line to appear on his neck! She had severed the head from the neck!
All the pieces followed the path which had been predetermined and crashed into the roof Godfrey had intended to land on!
Blood splattered and pieces of mangled flesh spread for five meters! Except for the chest and head, which had landed a bit further, the others, were simply that! Mangled pieces of flesh!
The launched Cheetah One landed on her feet on another roof. A few bruises had appeared on her feet since she had shattered the concrete with such force, that a crater had formed! And she was sure that those occupying the top floor of this building had heard her landing!
She made haste and raced back to her companions who followed after her to check out the crash site of Godfrey's body.
"It was way too easy!" Cheetah One mumbled in amazement as she stared at the head, its eyes still widened even in death!
"There is no way we should have been mistaken! This person was as strong as the clan leader!" The one with the strongest instincts commented.
Rivers of sweat were running down their bodies making their outfits stick to the skin, outlining their curves.
"All of you! Be on alert! This is abnormal!" She ordered!
All their gazes had converged on Godfrey's mangled body. Even though all seemed finished, all of them had a nagging feeling that nothing had ended!
Cheetah One's mouth was releasing a hot breath with every exhale. She was very tired and her body temperature was high! She truly wished to cool down, but this situation didn't hadn't ended.
"Remember! My daughter must never fall into Godfrey Kizike's hands! She can fall into those of others, but! Never him!" A voice had said when Cheetah One had been about to exit the office.
"Yes, my queen!" She had nodded before ducking out of the office.
'What's about this guy that even the matriarch was wary?' She asked herself as she focussed her vision on the unmoving head.
"Could we be mistaken and he's dead?" One of the other women asked. They were all in line behind Cheetah One.
"I...truly...under...estimated...you!"
"What!?" Cheetah One's heart pounded in her chest! She struggled to keep herself from jumping the moment she heard the creepy voice.
'Keep calm! Keep calm! Keep calm!' She chanted in her mind.
"Where are you, Mr. Godfrey? Don't hide in the shadows!" She shouted as her eyes roamed around trying to pinpoint the location of the voice. She even clicked her tongue and listened to the returning sound waves. But it was to no avail!
"Can any of you see where he is?" She asked. They had all adopted a back to back formation the moment they heard the creepy voice. It had sounded like someone who was having trouble breathing.
"Down...here!" It once again reverberated in the surrounding space.
This time, since they were on full alert, they were able to capture the direction.
"The severed head! The eyes and mouth are moving!?" One of the others exclaimed!
The eyes of the severed head were looking at all of them. All the scattered pieces of flesh were even wriggling along the ground as they tried to merge back together.
The blood hadn't dried yet. As long as all the pieces arrived on a blood drop or pool, they sucked it up like a sponge! Even in this sweltering heat, the blood hadn't dried into stains!
Cheetah One's face scrounged up upon seeing the wriggling pieces.
"All of you! Attack! We need to destroy him before he comes back to life!" She was the first to race towards the head with her dagger drawn!

How to Save a Star [BxB]
“Do you know that stars die?” I asked, breaking the silence. I didn't know where the question came from, but that's the only thing that came to mind. “Yeah,” he answered. “And some stars we see in the sky may be already dead. But they're so far away that their afterglow can still be seen above. Some of them may seem glowing but they’re truly dead.” We all have a little gallery of photographic memories inside our hearts. An exhibit of things we could never forget through our short moments in time. Some were so good, we held it like they were the best part of our lives while some were things we desperately ran away from - they hunted us, and killed our hopes. The beginning of my life ended on my tenth birthday, the day when my childhood was stolen away from me. I longed to run away from that nightmare that held me tightly in my neck and made me helpless under its grasp. Going to college had become my final chance to run away. On my seventeenth birthday, after enrolling at a university, my life took another shift. I met a man who showed me the glimmer of hope I always wanted to see. And this was our story. A narration of first love, bittersweet and worthwhile. DISCLAIMER: This novella primarily contains gay romance. Read at your own risk.

Fallen
He hadn't even gained a consciousness yet that he was bound to lose everything if he ever came to life. He hadn't offended anyone, but they offended him. He hadn't cursed anyone, they cursed him. He hadn't killed anyone, they killed everyone related to him. Thus, he silently vowed. "They plan to offend me for their own interest? I shall give them plenty of reason to do so. Do they want to curse me? Please do so, since I'm more than willing to be your living bane. Kill me? Sadly, you won't be the last having this type of wishful thinking."- The Devil -------------------- I think that I can manage 1 chapter per week now, maybe 2 but certainly not three. PS: As I think that there should be small mistakes here left and right, I'd gladly welcome a proofreader.

When Plush comes to Shove
An: So the last synopsis wasn’t really all that good, it was just some mumbo jumbo with no actual point to it so I decided to make a new one that’s a bit more accurate. Leo Lush, just your average everyday (slightly chubby) schmuck, or at least he would be if he didn’t carry around a stuffed toy everywhere he went.I mean, he was a man who could read the atmosphere a bit so put it away in his bag whenever having a stuffed toy out would be rude but other than that he brought it with him all the time, it was a memento from his girlfriend who had died three years ago and keeping it close made him feel better. That’s also why his classmates gave him the nickname “Plush”, though that's neither here nor there. One day at the train station he’d lost his dearest stuffed toy, one of his classmates found it and lobbed it towards him, something that they’d already done many times before, but this time something went wrong and Leo found himself falling in front of the train due to the force of the throw. Now follow Leo as the spirit that developed in his stuffed toy and killed him forces his ghost into another world to possess a different stuffed toy. He doesn’t know much about the world or why he’s there but what he does know is that according to a magic book his girlfriend was also sent to this very world when she died in a plane accident three years ago. An: For those who want to know a bit more about what kind of story this will be: I want it to be a chill feel-good story and stay as far away from those despair-fest stories as possible (No offense to people who enjoy them, I’m just not one of you)Let me make something clear; I’m not writing this story with hope of it becoming really top tier among RRL (Though it did get above rank 500 once which I’m still very proud of even though it’s gone back down to ~850 at the time of writing this) I just want to write a story that I would enjoy reading, that’s why I’ll be mostly skipping over a lot of the parts that I skip when I read other stories, such as stats, the exact value of money and other such precise statistics that no one(as far as I’m aware) really cares about all that much. Just feels like a lot of effort for something superfluous. There’s a single exception and that’s one of the battles, it’s not a despair-fest or anything but it’s got a different feel than the rest of the story due to me being in a funky mood while I was writing it.
