RB Chapter 13 The Mpologomas
A four wheeler pulled right outside the Masanyalaze building.
The door opened and a burly man with brown hair cascading down his back alighted.
The people who were outside at this time shrunk back.
To them, it felt like standing in front of a predator.
Their danger instincts were screaming at them.
Instincts! A perception which had come back with the advent of this age.
Leo Mpologoma, he was a man so confident in his strength that he didn't need any guards.
When asked why, he had just said...
(If you can fight at par with me when I am at my strongest, you can guard me!)
The people who could fight at par were only countable on one hand in the entire city.
And they had high positions, so why would they lower themselves to be guards.
He was wearing a tank top and pants which had too many pockets.
He had a stalk of grass in his mouth.
"It has been a long time since I last came here!"
"Father we need to go!" Elena's voice came from behind him.
Elena, the two cubs and a beautiful woman who shared the same traits as Elena were standing in a row behind him.
"My love! Come! let's go and see what this clone looks like!"
The beautiful woman came over and slipped her hand in his before heading towards the building.
He only had one love, and that was her. He didn't even get any other woman like the rest of the other male clan leaders.
Elena held the hands of her twin brothers as she followed behind.
She was wearing a one strap blouse and a pair of jeans.
The moment the family entered the lobby. All the people stared.
They were just too famous. If it weren't for their fear, they might have been crowding around and asking for autographs.
They entered the elevator and ascended. Their guide, the one Baguma had assigned was with them but he was simply cowering in the corner.
Two floors before the elevator reached the top, Baguma and Ivy who had been sitting stood up and looked in the direction of the elevator.
"Sharp instincts indeed!" A voice reached the entire rooftop before the elevator even opened.
Leah, Eric and Elec were startled.
Ivy took long strides towards the elevator as Baguma followed behind her.
'He's hereeeeeeee!!! Oh! Thank you!' She felt excited and her heart involuntarily sped up.

The elevator arrived at the same time as the two arrived at its shaft.
They caught sight of five, plus a sixth, the guide, but they ignored him.
The five people were simply too eye catching.
"Heh!" The woman who had been holding Leo's hand smirked when her eyes locked with Ivy.
'She's here too!?" Her mood which had been good turned to bad.
"Oh! So you are here too." Leo said upon seeing Ivy.
He knew she liked stalking him, but he didn't care. Only the woman he was currently holding was all that mattered to him.
"Where's the clone?" He asked as he moved his gaze around until he spotted two identical boys.
"We are also here!" Baguma clenched his hands.
"Oh! I know! I just don't care! I spend most of my time in the wilderness honing my combat skills, and what are you doing!? Here! Playing management while oppressing the weaklings! So I don't care about your existence!"
You could hear Baguma's teeth grating audibly.
The gaze which had shifted towards Baguma once again went to the two boys.
"Who is he!"
"Its the one whose eyes have a deeper shade." Elena answered.
"Oh! Boy! Do you want to join me in the wilderness? You won't improve here!" He offered.
"I can't!" Eric resolutely refused.
'This man wants me to leave my master behind? Wishful thinking!'
"I see!"
Leo said before his eyes narrowed dangerously.
All the people on the rooftop unconsciously shivered.
The pressure wasn't even directed towards them. They could only imagine what Eric was feeling.
Eric was frozen in fear, no thought was passing through his mind only utter terror!
All the people could see that his knees were about to buckle.
"You are still too young! Hahaha..." He retracted it and simply laughed it off.
Eric almost collapsed but, a pair of hands held him up from behind.
"What is the meaning of this?" The owner asked.
"If something had happened to my son, I would have killed you!" Lisa threatened. She was panting heavily.
'My son's legs are shaking! I can't even imagine how much he is facing!'
That thought had made her overcome the pressure so that she could reach his side.
She felt like collapsing but she held on by sheer will since she had to support him.
"Oh! Admirable! I didn't know you had someone like this!" Leo commented as he saw Lisa holding Eric.

Of course the psychological pressure didn't affect the clan leaders and Leo's wife.
A few flashes of electricity were passing through Baguma's eyes.
'This old fossil has gotten stronger again!'
He clenched his hands until his knuckles turned white.
'I want him more and more!' Ivy was starry eyed.
"I apologise on behalf of my husband." The woman said.
She was directing her apology towards Lisa.
"I hope it never happens again!"
"Lisa!!! Show some respect! He is a clan leader!" Baguma shouted.
All the people directed their eyes towards him.
"Cough! Let's go enjoy the feast!" He awkwardly coughed and started walking towards the table.
All the people followed behind silently.
Leo was going to say something but his wife squeezed his hand.
He looked towards her and she shook her head. She knew that whatever he said was going to say would only make the situation worse.
Baguma sat at one end with Lisa at his right, Elec at his left and Eric next to him.
Leo sat on the other end with his wife at his right and Elena at his left. The twins separated and sat opposite each other, one after Elena and the other after his mother.
Leah and Ivy sat in the middle directly opposite each other.
"Once chaos comes, I am not going to act!" Leo said after some time. All the people who had been eating turned their attention towards him.
"What do you mean?" Baguma asked.
"I have been asked not to interfere in any of the coming events!"
"What events exactly?" Ivy asked.
"The change which is coming! Don't act dumb! You already know what am talking about!" He placed a piece of meat in his mouth and savored it.
"Oh! You mean those weaklings jumping around shouting the ten clan system should be abolished?"
Ivy asked nonchalantly.
'The chef did a good job!' She thought.
"They aren't weaklings! Someone as powerful as me met me in the wilderness and we had a talk."
"Huh!" Baguma was shocked just like the rest of the others.
Leo was prideful and arrogant but he was never a liar! If he said that there was someone with power rivalling him, then that had to be true.
'Judging from the shocked faces of his family, they didn't know!' Baguma observed.
"What do you mean by someone rivalling you?" Ivy couldn't believe it.
"Father! Tell me you refused not to act!" Shouted Elena.
"Shut up! You have become like these clan leaders! Clinging to non existent power! Just because no one dares to challenge you at that school, your ego has inflated and you think you hold all the power!" Leo burst as veins popped up on his forehead.
"Father, ruling over the inferior is what we should do! They don't have the power to protect themselves!" She argued.
"Oh! Do you know that all those kids probably hate you! They are simply waiting for that fated day! If you weren't related to me...tell me what kind of power would you have? Hah!?"
"Don't be like this Baguma and this stalker! They have weakened from sitting in the shadows all day wasting their potential on paperwork!" He pointed towards the two.
"How do you think our clan survives! Mother manages all that and you get the freedom to do whatever you want! Do you know how many sleepless nights she's had!" Elena was breathing heavily.
No sound could be heard after she finished speaking. Everyone had froze.
"I know! That's why I want to go tour the wilderness with all of you the moment Elena graduates. I will give up the position of one of the ten clans!" He softly said as he turned to his wife.
She was a gentle woman in his presence and always accepted his decisions.
"I would love to!"
"What about what we want?" Elena asked.
"Living in the wilderness...adventuring...all that sounds good and dandy, but I don't want it!" Elena refused.
"Elena! Could you be drunk on the others calling you goddess? It does probably sound good in your ears but to all of us... It grates our ears!"
Elena snapped her head and looked at Leah. She was enjoying her food as if she hadn't said anything.
"What do you mean? Choose your words carefully."
"What am saying...well...all the girls at school including me hate and despise you! The moment you make a mistake, we will become like dogs fighting for a bone, which by the way would be you!" Leah returned Elena's stare.
"Girls! Calm down!" Elec said since the adults weren't acting.
'I don't want to be involved in this!'

For he is the man who started all of this." This is a story no man in Lumenter will ever hear, no man except for an Arnesen, for his stories are dull and generic to the ears of the masses, except for us, because he is the very reason why our people traveled this far east, why kingdoms in Erisgi fell and rose, why I... even existed in the first place. He is Geir, son of Arne, called 'the Stranger' by the people. But what he truly is, is a fiery red heart that beats inside every Eyklandian, Arnesen, and me.
