《World Of Swords》Physique

As Feng Shuchun continued teaching Xu Yue, she was repeatedly amazed at how powerful her comprehension ability actually was.
Anything that Feng Shuchun taught was absorbed by Xu Yue like a sponge, Feng Shuchun felt like in a few decades she would be sucked dry of all her knowledge.
"For her to be this talented with the sword and not have the Absolute Sword Physique, something is wrong," thought Feng Shuchun as she looked at Xu Yue, who was practicing the sword.
"You can stop now. I have something to give you," said Feng Shuchun.
Xu Yue felt quite surprised as she looked at her master. If her master wanted to give her a gift, she would have given it to her before Xu Yue started training.
As Xu Yue approached her, Feng Shuchun took out a small red orb. Looking at the orb, Xu Yue felt that the coldness that was being emitted by her body was being countered and dissipated.
"This was the is The Seven Yang Orb. It is the treasure that has been bestowed upon you to counter the side effects of your physique and soul."
"You have the Nine Yin Physique."
For a split second, Xu Yue was a little bit surprised, but that surprise was short-lived as Xu Yue remembered all the experiences she had had.
In this world, the 3000 most powerful physiques are ranked on a list, and the five most powerful physiques on the list are
One: Heavenly Dao Body
Two: Karma Detached Physique
Three: Absolute Sword Physique,
The fourth and fifth places on this list are shared between the Nine Yin Body and the Nine Yang Body.
"It makes sense that I have this physique," thought Xu Yue after a moment.
"There is only one problem."

Xu Yue looked at her master seriously.
"The fact that you also have the Profound Ice Soul, even though this is an elemental soul, it is of extreme Yin nature, the combination of these two will cause a Yin-Yang imbalance."
As her master was saying this, Xu Yue couldn't help but think of the list of the most powerful souls.
The most powerful Special Souls are also ranked on a list.
One: Heavenly Dao Soul
Two: Fateless Soul
Three: Sword Soul
Fourth: Daoless Soul
Tied for fifth on this list are the profound elemental souls.
As Xu Yue was in deep thought, Feng Shuchun thought of a certain pill that would help resolve Yin Dominance.
"The ancestors are probably planning to refine a Saint-grade Yang Enhancement Pill."
Feng Shuchun stopped thinking about meaningless things.
A necklace with a hole in the middle appeared in her hands. She then took the Seven Yang orb and put it in that hole. The necklace seemed to shrink as it held the orb in the middle.
"You should wear this necklace and not take it off at any time," said Feng Shuchun. In fact, Xu Yue could take off the necklace for up to a month and almost nothing would happen, but Feng Shuchun wanted to take every precaution she could.
"Yes master," said Xu Yue as she took the necklace into her hand. The moment she held it, she felt a warm feeling go through her body and destroy any hint of coldness there.
She then put the necklace around her neck and inside of her robe.
"You can go back to your cave," said Feng Shuchun.
"Yes master," said Xu Yue before retreating back to her cave.
She reached her cave, but couldn't help but want to relax after practicing for twelve hours straight under her master.

"It's not good to overexert myself," said Xu Yue.
She then looked through her spatial bag before deciding what to do. Xu Yue took out a canvas, some brushes and some paint.
As Xu Yue continued to paint, she couldn't help but realize why her mother loved painting so much.
Xu Yue then began a relaxing painting session.
2 months later,
"You're still such an obedient little girl," said Wu Jing as she looked at Xu Yue, who was sitting on her lap, with her head in her bosom.
Xu Yue giggled after hearing this.
"You've gotten much better at this," said Wu Jing, looking at the mountain peak painted by Xu Yue.
In the past two months, her improvements in both painting and swordsmanship were massive. Xu Yue found that after exiting the padoga, her improvement speed had become even more exaggerated. Even her father, who had gotten used to her over the years, was shocked.
Xu Chao felt like in a few years, Xu Yue would reach Grand Completion of the Origin Sword Style.
He even felt somewhat sorry for the disciples that had cultivated for more than a thousand years and had not yet reached Xu Yue's level in the sword art.
"Why didn't you use the brush you obtained from the trial?" asked Wu Jing with a confused look on her face.
Xu Yue opened her mouth, then closed it once again. She then looked in her spatial bag.
"I forgot..." said Xu Yue in a tiny, mosquito-like voice.
Wu Jing laughed a bit and then remembered her daughter's age. She then gave Xu Yue a kiss on her forehead. Looking at her embarrassed daughter, Wu Jing felt like her cuteness had been raised to a whole new level.
"Has your master been bullying you?" asked Wu Jing, already knowing the answer.
"Master has been good to me," said Xu Yue, remembering how attentive her master had been to her when she injured herself in training.
As Xu Yue continued to talk with her mother.
In another location inside the sect,
"All other materials for the yang enhancement pill have been collected," reported a shadowy figure to an old man.
"The moment you find out a lead to the main material, report it to me." said the old man.
"This pill is quite troublesome to refine," said the old man, as he remembered the pill recipe the Origin Sword Sect gave him.
At the same time, he couldn't help but be shocked at how deep the foundations of the powerful sects were.
"To think that this is the main material for the Saint-ranked version," mumbled the old man under his breath.

Beast
A threat to the galaxy has come from another, and the Union of intelligent life will go to any length to stop it. Military Quarantine has held for hundreds of thousands of cycles. Traders, merchants, colonists, and Pirates live risky lives along the fringes as the politics from the inner systems fail to see the larger threats beyond their borders. A lone human finds himself far from home with no memories to how he arrived. A failing Trade vessel plays on a desperate gamble, while a malicious parasite searches for a suitable host. ............................................. Author's note: Beast is a story that I wrote a long, long time ago. Some of you might have read it then, back when it was posted on reddit over at r/HFY. It was my first webfiction and made in the spirit of that subreddit's "genre" of humanity being awesome. But, it is also a story that has bothered me a little bit. Just like most new writers tend to do, I made mistakes and errors that feel painful to reread. A Space Opera will be a Space Opera, but I had prose that makes present-me cringe. Still, at the same time, the story is still very much a tale I've never given up on. It was my first adventure into fiction: Beast was a crazy adventure with bodysnatching aliens, galactic war, threats from across the universe... Posting this story here is a way to try and redeem myself a bit. I won't call it a complete rewrite, because it's not, but I have wanted to go through and correct some of the major issues Beast has for a long time and put it somewhere more accessible to read (instead of as posts/comments on reddit) and I figure that now is as good a time as any. Additional corrections you might notice are welcome.

Leave Bad Enough Alone
Something has been amiss in the city’s theaters as of late. The local bards have long done a respectable job of keeping the audiences entertained, weaving high concepts with skillful performances. But lately, a new set of bards, and their illusionist cohorts, have captured the crowd’s attention. Compared to the theater’s usual fare, their work is hackneyed and poorly plotted, with unskilled acting, bad special effects, and unsatisfying resolutions. Worst of all, the audiences like their work more, and these upstarts are far more profitable than the city’s decent bards! Clearly, there must be some dark secret behind the success of these newcomers, and it’s up to the city’s true artists to find out what it is and expose the conspiracy! Or maybe the city’s bards have just become too hopelessly pretentious and derivative. It’s hard to tell. But investigate it they must! Failure is not an option! An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
