《What would you do if you suddenly fell in love?》The Calamity epoch

Ready to start class, Sian turned to Emily. "Has your teacher already said the name of the world we live in?"
“She said!” She replied enthusiastically.
"Can you remember the name?"
Looking a little hesitant, she murmured. "I forgot..."
"I kind of expected that." Sian smiled at her and continued. "The world in which we live is called Tauphus."
Putting Emily standing in the chair on the side, Sian took out a world map and placed it on the table.
"As you can see, our world has 6 continents, but it was not always like this. Before, it was just a great continent called Pangea. "
Like Emily, Ophilia and even Illianna were looking closely at the map while listening to the explanation.
"Do you know how this happened?" Sian asked Illianna.
“No.” She replied. "It's the first time I've heard anyone say that, but if I had to take a chance when it happened, I'd say it was at the Calamity epoch. But even reading several books about this period, none of them talked about the continent to separate in 6. "
"Well, it's exactly as you assumed." Sian said.
"How do you know that? This is something that there wasn’t even in the real libra-" As if she had realized something, she immediately asked. “It was Ayzeret? Although she is not sociable and nobody knows her real age, I know she has thousands of years and she sure must know many things. "
"It's as you guessed, although a bit explosive at times, she is a good teacher."
"You were very lucky to be taught by her and continue alive." Illianna continued sarcastically. "And about being explosive, it looks like she taught it very well to you."
Ignoring her last sentence, Sian spoke bitterly. "It was not lucky, even if I was on the verge of death, she always had a way to keep me alive. But leaving that aside, as you had said, the separation of the continent was at the Calamity epoch. "
"What is Calamity?" Emily looked at Sian with her curious little eyes.
"The Calamity is how the great war that happened 100,000 years ago became known. Being more specific, 113,407 years ago." Sian replied.
"Is this a long time?" She asked.
"It’s a lot of time, according to Ayze, in this war even the Gods took part."
"The Gods like Zyris?!" Emily asked excitedly.
“Uh-huh.” Sian answered before continuing. "The time before the war, better known as ancient times, was an era in which the human race dominated the world and there were no other intelligent races besides them. At that time, there was no magic, and despite that, humans had several accessories that were supposedly incredible. They could sail under the water, fly in the skies, even communicate with someone on the other side of the world was possible."
“Really?!" Emily looked impressed.
"Well, I do not know if this really is true, I'm just saying what Ayze told me. Personally, I find it difficult to do these things without magic." Sian said. "But coming back to what matters, the situation of humans changed when the planet was invaded by what came to be known as Underworld Creatures. There were endless armies with various types of undead monsters that had an almost inexhaustible vitality."

Looking a little frightened, Emily questioned again. "Li-Like skeletons and zombies?"
"Yep, and not just them, they had many more kinds of creatures." He replied. "Humans fought with everything they had to fight these monsters, they even used bombs that could destroy several cities. But this was not enough due to the exorbitant amount of enemies."
"Humans lost?" Trying to lean over Sian, Emily was about to fall.
"That almost happened." Sian said as he placed his hands around her waist, avoiding the fall. "Humans were doomed to lose the war, but the gods did not want to see this happen and therefore helped them. They have granted all creatures on the planet access to a mystical energy called magic, or mana, as it is also known. "
"Then they won thanks to the Gods?" Emily asked as she excitedly moved onto Sian's lap.
"Not yet." Sian stroked her head. "Even with magic, when compared to the Underworld creatures, humans were like children in front of adults. When it was less than 30% of the population, Ejun, known as the God of Knowledge, used his divine power to unite the characteristics of humans with some of the living beings on the planet. His intention was to improve their innate skills and thus, several different intelligent races of humans emerged."
"The Gods are awesome!" By the way her tail was swinging, she was very thrilled.
"Indeed." Sian said as he placed a little juice in the glass. "But knowing this would still be insufficient, Ejun went beyond. He used all his divine power and part of his vitality to give life to various types of creatures and races based on the forms of lives that were attacking. But this was only possible with the help of the Goddess Zyris, known as Goddess of Life."
Before Emily could say anything, Sian took the glass to her mouth.
"Not falling behind, the other Gods with the support of Feeus, the God of time, activated a large-scale spatial magic. Their goal was to look for several worlds by people who had the potential and were willing to turn their Combatants in the war. As this was difficult and took time, only the main Gods managed to bring a Combatant each before being interrupted by the enemies. Thus, these people received the divine protection of the Gods and turned the 7 pillars of humanity during the war."
With a little bit of juice in hand, Sian took it to Emily's mouth again.
"But even though they gained a slight advantage when they entered the battle, only the Combatants still wouldn't be enough, because powerful beings had appeared on the other side as well. Recognizing that those beings were Gods, the Gods of Tauphus were forced into battle, and not only them, the subordinate Gods of their factions also participated."
After a brief break to serve more juice to all, Sian continued.
"After much blood and suffering, they finally managed to repel the enemies. But unfortunately almost the entire population died, leaving less than 5% of the initial inhabitants. The Combatants also suffered fatalities and most of the surviving Gods were forced into hibernation to recover from their injuries."

"How much is 5%?" Emily asked.
“Very little.” Sian replied. "Due to the intense battle, virtually everything was destroyed, it was at that moment that the earthly geography changed, transforming the only continent existing in 6. As a way of honoring the 5 Combatants who died, their name was given to each of the new continents and the remaining continent was called the Central continent."
"What are their names?" Emily asked.
Pointing on the map, he replied. "Usoya, Awos, Tripeia, Eucan, Phitos, also known as Demonic continent and the Central, which is where we are."
"What are the names of those who stayed alive?" Emily looked at Sian with her usual curious countenance.
"As for the two surviving Combatants, I have no idea, there is nothing about them, not even the names." Sian shrugged. "After the war, the count of the years resumed, thus the years after Calamity are referred to as A.C. and before Calamity as B.C."
"In what year are we?"
'A child's curiosity is really insatiable.' Sian thought.
“113.407 A.C.” Sian said before continuing. "Thousands of years after most Gods have fallen asleep and the rest move away from the mortal world, many of the races that before lived in peace, began to conflict."
Anticipating Emily's possible question, Sian said. "These conflicts occurred for several reasons, such as territorial disputes, prejudice for having a different way of life, different customs, different characteristics, in short, there were several reasons."
"At what point did the Gods unified the language of the world?" Ophilia asked.
"This happened after the war, they did it as a way to improve the interaction between the different races. But there are still some villages with their own language." Putting the map away, Sian said. "That’s all for today."
"Can Daddy tell more stories?" Emily asked excitedly.
Sian stroked Emily's fuzzy ears, which after several glasses of juice, her little belly was already protruding. "That's enough for now, anything else, and I feel like you're going to forget everything."
"I'll not forget." She tried to convince Sian by making a serious face.
"In that case, what are the nobiliary classifications?"
After a brief moment without saying a single word, she turned her face, diverting from Sian's gaze. "I... Forgot..."
"Hmmm ... Teaching a child maybe it's harder than I expected..."
Listening to Sian's words, she immediately said. "But I remember Daddy's the most powerful of all!"
Trying to contain his happiness, he said. "Flattering me like this won't work. I had thought about starting to teach magic too, but I think I'd better postpone that idea for now."
Emily was immediately stirred by the word ‘magic’ and was excited. "I want to learn magic!"
As he held her not to fall, Sian squeezed his fluffy cheeks lightly. "Better not, let's leave it for when my little princess is older."
"I'm big enough, so Daddy can teach me." She said as she stood on Sian's lap, stretching on her toes.
When Sian was going to deny again, Illianna intervened. "Considering that she is a beastkin and matures faster than humans, I think you should try to teach her. Even if she does not learn at first, it's still good for her to learn the theory early."
'I think I saw something about it in the session ‘How to rise a child’, apparently children are more likely to absorb more information when they are still young.'
Seeing her anxious eyes, Sian gave in to her desire. "Okay, if my little princess wants, then we start tomorrow."
“Yay!” She jumped happily as her little tail swayed agilely from side to side.
Not resisting the dimples that appeared in her little cheeks, Sian hugged her and began to kiss unceasingly her face.

When Ophilia and Emily were exchanging sleeping clothes, Sian and Illianna remained in the room.
"Do you think this war was true?" Illianna asked.
“Yes.” He replied. "And you?"
"I think this is true, since in my old world there were these accessories and these bombs you mentioned." Pointing up, she continued. "We even went to space and all this without magic."
"Not that I doubted what Ayze said, though violent, she rarely lies." Sian shrugged. "Let's go to sleep, we need to wake up early tomorrow."
When Sian was getting ready to go to the room, Illianna stopped him. "Where am I going to sleep?"
"Oh!" Stopping in place, he said. "I had forgotten that. But there are no problems, you can sleep in Emily's bed and she sleeps with us. Tomorrow I rent a room for you."
After waiting a bit for Illianna to go to the room to change clothes, Sian entered. When everyone was ready to sleep, with a swing of hands, he erased the candles.
As if reacting to Sian's action, Emily tightened the blanket, pulling it to cover her face and cringed completely.
Seeing that she seemed to be tense, Sian approached and kissed her forehead. "You do not have to be scared, Daddy is here."
Looking as reassured by Sian's words, she approached him slowly and placed her head on his stretched arm. Soon, Ophilia also approached the two and hugged them.
But seeming not to have conformed to Sian's arm, Emily was slowly climbing Sian's body until she was on top of his belly. As if it was comforting to be in that place, she quickly fell asleep.
