《What would you do if you suddenly fell in love?》Dinner at the orphanage and the Envelope

Facing Ophilia's sudden question, Sian was nervous.
'I forgot about that too...’
He quickly put his hand on the young woman's shoulder and said as compassionate as he can. “I know this is a sad time for you, my old friend, but there comes a time when we must leave the past behind and move on, always trying our best to create a new future with our own hands. Come on, introduce yourself. ”
The young woman slowly came out of Ophilia's embrace with reddish eyes from crying.
'She really was giving it her all, I think the least I can do is give her a chance and see if she can really make the blueprint of the inn.'
The young woman bowed slightly and said. "I'm sorry about the scene before, my name is Illianna Martinez, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Don't worry about it." Sian said. "This is Ophilia, my wife, and this is Emily, our daughter."
With a dazzling smile, Illianna said. "Sian told me a lot about you, he always had a warm smile on his face when he spoke of his beloved wife and a lovely daughter."
'Although she looks crazy, she knows how to please people...’
"Really?" Emily asked.
“Uh-huh.” Illianna said, stroking Emily's head.
After Sian healed her bruises, she kept talking to Ophilia while Sian returned to play with Emily.
"I know you guys are having a pleasant talk, but how about an afternoon nap?" Sian took Emily in his arms and looked at Ophilia. "Even if the light magic is effective, it is not a good thing to overwhelm your body with lack of sleep."
"But I wanted to keep playing..." Emily said sadly.
“We can keep playing afterward, otherwise, when we go to the orphanage at night, you will not have the energy to eat all the delicious food I am going to make. So now you need to sleep, okay? ”
“Okayyy!” She answered cheerfully with her hands in the air.
Sian turned to Illianna and said. "You can use the other bed for now, later I'll rent you a room."
“I'm not going to sleep now, I'm going to start designing the structure of the inn. But before that, I need you to show me the location on the map, how exactly you want the inn to be and the size you desire." She said.
First of all, he made her change her clothes to an ordinary dress, which despite being simple and without details, still did not hide her beauty.
Placing a map on the table, Sian pointed to a marked area. “I want it to be something big. And as for how it will be, you can decide that, as long as it is within that area. ”
After helping with what she needed, Sian went to sleep with Ophilia while Emily stayed between them in bed.

When they woke up, Sian left with Ophilia and Emily for the orphanage.
Despite being called, Illianna refused to go, saying that she intended to finish the inn's blueprint until tomorrow.

Upon arriving at the orphanage, the first person they saw was the maid who was with Charlotte in the morning.
She bowed to them. "Welcome, Lady Charlotte is waiting for you."
Arriving where Charlotte was waiting for them, Sian said. "With how busy you are, I didn't think you'd still be here."
"After tasting that chocolate, I was very eager to taste your food. My instincts tell me that you will surely do something delicious tonight." Charlotte said with an expectant tone.
"So you don't miss out on waiting, the dish I'm going to make, despite not being my best recipe, is still very delicious." Sian said. "And like chocolate, it also came from the cookbook I bought."
"May I know the name of the person who sold the book?" Charlotte asked.
"I think it was Tarano Kakashi, or something like that..."
At Sian's words, Charlotte looked quite surprised.
"Is he an acquaintance of yours?" Sian asked.
“No.” Charlotte denied. “Do you know anything else about him?”
"Hmmmm ..." After thinking for a while, Sian replied. "In addition to the fact that he speaks a strange language, has slanted eyes, short black hair and is at most 1.60 cm tall, I think he said something about the name coming after the surname."
"Do you know where he is?" She asked, looking a little anxious and excited.
“No, I met him about 3 years ago, when he was in Hosnein, he said something about going out and enjoying life. I think it will be difficult to find him, even if you look for him. ” Sympathizing with her, he put his hand on her shoulder and said. "But you needn't be discouraged, in the booklet I gave you contains all the recipes I bought from him."
Sighing, she said. "I think I'll just settle for these recipes..."
***
Having prepared everything, Ophilia took Emily to play with the other children, while Sian and Charlotte went to the kitchen.
"What kind of dish do you intend to make?" Charlotte asked.
“Curry.”
“Curry?” She asked in surprise.
"Have you eaten before?"
"No, no." She shook her head heavily. "I just saw it in the book you gave me and it looked delicious."
"Just looking at a recipe and already knowing how good it is, as expected from someone with the same tastes as me."
Sian nodded and took several pans out of the magic bag.
"To live up to your expectations, I will use my best pans to the best of my abilities."
Examining the cauldron that Sian placed on the table, Charlotte asked. "Isn't it too small?"
"Don't worry, it’s enchanted with space magic." He replied.
At that moment, the butler spoke. "Can I take a look at them?"
“At ease.” Sian said.
After carefully examining the pans, the butler looked surprised. "Those pans are very well made, even the magic circuits are skillfully molded, that's a masterpiece."
"I don't understand about magic tools, but since Winston praised it, they must certainly be good." Charlotte said.

“I don't want to brag, but when it comes to weapons and magic tools, I'm very good. Although I got some help to make these little beauties, we used all our knowledge to create the best cooking pans in the world.” Sian said, puffing out his chest proudly.
"Now let's get started." He took out an enormous amount of pork ribs and various ingredients that he had bought earlier in the stalls.
Using wind magic, he cut all the ingredients almost flawlessly.
With that huge amount of chopped rib, anyone who looked at it would say that it was impossible to fit even a tenth in the pan. But thanks to the spatial function, everything fitted perfectly.
"Looking from above, it looks like all those pieces of rib turned grains of sand. But it's weird, usually we can't see or smell anything inside a magic bag." Charlotte said.
“It's due to how well worked the magic circuits were and also,” Pulling Charlotte, who had her head almost inside the pan, Winston continued. “The materials used are top-notch.”
"Why to make pans with so much internal capacity?" Charlotte asked.
"Sometimes I have to feed some people who eat totally out of proportion to their bodies." Sian said, smiling awkwardly as he put the chopped onion in the pan.
"Do they eat that much?" Charlotte asked.
"I'm sure they eat a lot more than you're thinking." Sian said as he prepared another pan to put the rice on the fire.
***
Stopping stirring the pan, Sian said. "It's done."
"It looks delicious." Charlotte said, almost drooling while sniffing the curry.
"My Lady, please recompose yourself, you should not drool publicly, this may spoil your image." Said Winston, pulling Charlotte again.
Sucking the drool that was about to drip, she said. "Don't worry about it, we're among friends, nothing's going to get out of here."
"Despite that, you must learn to control yourself." Winston said. "It's a nuisance for the cook when you stand next to him throughout the process, with your head almost inside the pot."
"It's not that uncomfortable, is it?" She talked, looking at Sian.
"I'm used to worse things. Compared to what Ayze does, that's child's play." Sian said.
***
When they arrived at the cafeteria, it was almost dark and all the children were already present.
Leaving the function of serving to the orphanage staff, Sian along with Charlotte went to where Ophilia and Emily were.
Not long after, they served the meal and proving that Sian's confidence in his skills was not for nothing, dinner was a success among the children.
But there were three people who seemed to have eaten far beyond what they could. These were Sian himself, Charlotte, and the little Emily, who was almost as round as a ball.
After that, Sian did a magic show in front of the children. He used magic to make various types of ice cream from the fruits he bought earlier.
"If people who desperately train their whole lives to learn magic saw you using it so outrageously just to make ice cream, they would definitely have a heart attack of so much anger." Charlotte said as she poured chocolate over the ice cream.
"Everything is valid for the sake of delicious food." Sian said, doing the same as she did.
"You have my full support." She replied with her thumbs up.
After a while, when Sian was getting ready to leave, Charlotte called him. "Wait, I forgot to tell you something, it's very important."
Sian turned to her. "Something important?"
"Yes, I'm sure you'll be interested in that." She handed Sian an envelope. "I don't know why, but Badonis sends a good amount of money monthly to the orphanage in the form of a donation. But he had two conditions, taking care of Emily until she turned 16 and not letting her be adopted unless it was the person in the painting that's in that envelope."
Opening the envelope, Sian got surprised, because the person in the painting was exactly the woman who was waiting for him a little further, holding Emily asleep in her arms with affectionate eyes.
Noticing Sian's surprised look, Ophilia approached. “Did something happen?”
Sian told her what he just heard and showed the painting, which made her surprised too.
"This is me!" Ophilia exclaimed.
"There is also something interesting written on the back of the painting." Charlotte said.
Sian turned the painting over and started reading what was written. “‘This Dogkin woman in the painting is the child's mother. At the moment, she is just waiting for fate to decide whether or not to give them the opportunity to reunite again.’”
"I didn't know that, and he never mentioned that either." Ophilia said.
"Maybe he just felt guilty that you had to be separated from your daughter and that's why he decided to help?" Charlotte said thoughtfully.
"This is still a possibility, but I think it is unlikely." Sian said. "He is a person who buys slaves and makes them work as prostitutes, it is hard to believe that someone like him feels guilty."
"You have a good point, I hadn't thought of it." Charlotte said.
"What do you think?” Sian asked Ophilia.
"I can't think of a reason why he did that." She pondered. "Although he doesn't treat slaves cruelly, he's not a good person either, he always puts profit first. That was one of the reasons I didn't understand why he helped me when I got pregnant, after all, at that moment I was only going to give him a loss. It is even more unthinkable to me that he sent money to the orphanage to help Emily.”
"It is difficult to understand his intentions." Charlotte said.
"Well, it doesn't matter, we can figure it out simply. Just pay him a visit tomorrow." Sian said.
They said goodbye to Charlotte and went back to the inn. On the way, under the moonlight, Sian carried the sleeping Emily in his arms, which despite being drooling over his shoulder, was still extremely cute.

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).

The Sea of Destiny
[Let me be straight with you. This is trash, like old dime store novel trash. Don't expect grandiose writing, anything profound, or much beyond being free of spelling errors. It is simple, weird, and most likely growing in ridiculousness as it rapidly escalates.] Michael just wants to get away after a rough breakup.
