《Vyndra Stories》Reunion , Part 2

The soldiers began to attack the forces of America while dragging children and creatures to the ships. Noelle didn't miss the humanoid's irate gaze towards these new guests. He was not with them, but somehow he related to them.
Tom, Drako. I have to help there; I cannot let them take those children and creatures.
As he said this, he noticed that the net had returned, and the humanoid charged the ships.
The leader of what was left of the Beta squad communicated with the tower. And he reported everything that happened and was happening.
That the creature will now focus on the invaders, he made his priorities clear; he thought they were just collateral damage. And his superiors also concluded that they were indeed the cause of the apparent mental imbalance he had, and this after reviewing what little they knew, which included the conversation he had with the creature that was carrying a child and two other passengers.
Specialists had recovered the network, and a conspiracy was discovered within the city. Not only were the foreign aircraft here, but they were also flying over other gifted training centers. Reports of these invaders abducting children and creatures flooded the control tower.
They finally decided to attack the newly gifted who entered the scene, letting the creature move as it was doing for a moment. After all, reinforcements from other cities would not arrive soon.
Drako took Tom to his friends while Noelle went ashore to face the invading forces with her partner. When they arrived, there was a group attacking the place. The children did not have weapons to attack correctly, so they managed with what they could find in the area, and again the scene where the creatures fought together with their companions was repeated.
- We have to help them. - Drako said, pulling Tom out of his momentary doubts.
- Yeah, come on.
He could no longer choose to hide while everything happened. He could also see his friends fighting despite the desperation on their faces; he knew that he could do no less.
His heart was beating rapidly, almost at the same speed with which Drako descended and charged from behind those who were attacking the children.
Remembering the imposing scene of that roaring creature, Drako allowed himself a war roar; it was not as powerful as that humanoid's, but no less significant since he took the opportunity to use his telekinetic ability to expel everyone around them.

Still mounted on Drako, Tom reviewed the abilities of his companion, his primary means of attack before were those that allowed his psychic skills, immobilizing, repelling, and controlling his opponents to some extent. He was concentrating on restricting and disabling his enemies.
Now with his body changed, he could attack with the tail that had grown and cut, since at its tip, it had a kind of blade that he could see how it went through his opponents. Some blood began to accumulate in that part. It could also strike powerful claws thanks to its massive body. His jaw tore apart every time he closed it on some of the humans who crossed his path.
As the hunt unfolded, all Tom could do right now was trust him ... No ... it wasn't all. There was something he learned to do these days after holding his breath for a moment while he processed what was happening. I attack the invaders with gusts of wind.
Aiden witnessed this scene from a distance. As Bronk incapacitated his opponents, he stopped when he saw his friend facing the invaders from behind mounted on that colossal creature.
You could say that he was something of a hero out of those stories he read when he had free time. A jet of high-pressure water suddenly passed in front of his sight.
-Watch out, idiot! What are you looking at? - shouted Adolf
He was nervous but still used the objects around him, with his gift to protect Yuan and his friends. Coming to his senses, Aiden wondered if he would ever look this heroic, wielding a makeshift spear to pummel those escaping Bronk's killer blades.
The deputy commissioner felt ashamed that he had to depend on the children he had sworn to protect to guard the area against the sudden attack after most of his men left, and those who remained ended up being overwhelmed.
Even more was the shame to see that another child had arrived from the air with his creature and began to attack the invaders, confusing their ranks. He regretted not raising a child as a child, but he would make sure to adopt one when this was all over, no need to say why.
It was uncomfortable for him to see how these children had to be forced to kill, and not only that, if the invaders could not capture them, others were in charge of killing the children ... He had to find a way to bring that boy riding on this creature on this side before something happened to him; without a doubt, after seeing how he handled himself, he would have a great future within Vyndra.

But the situation was complicated. They barely maintained a perimeter in the building; luckily, none of the children broke the semicircular formation. That they had managed to form thanks to some sacrifices and the creatures made a significant difference in the field even so they were insufficient, their men were distributed both here and over the buildings to avoid an attack behind your back.
Not to mention the "detail" that the invaders had by not using projectiles to attack the place. They relied too much on their strength.
A silver-haired girl approached.
Sarah had been paying attention to the situation and realized that at any moment, Tom would be caught if he continued to act like this. She hadn't yet made Lessar use her ability to mow so as not to attract too much attention if there were enemies who could identify her from a distance. But she must act.
Lessar told him that he could perform the most potent skill if he had time. But he would not be able to adjust his direction only towards enemies but would also affect those around him if they did not prepare for this.
He decided to communicate this to the deputy commissioner, he asked him for the details about the ability, and he shared it to everyone present in AR now that the connection to Vyndra's network was back. And thus prevent the enemy from knowing.
Tom began to notice how the invaders started to focus on him and Drako. There was a moment of calm, and he took advantage of that moment to see his companions were alright ... Sarah gestured at him, one they had practiced avoiding Lessar's ability in case he got in the way of the dark wave.
Drako also recognized this gesture. And what he did was use his psychic ability, which he had used irregularly to disorient his opponents, froze as many enemies as possible, and did his best to turn them in Lessar's direction.
- We go with them. - Tom yelled at Drako
Drako leaped up and ran through the air just before Lessar's ability reached where they were. They didn't know it would be so powerful this time; it wasn't a wave but rather a sphere that spread out from Lessar's snap that covered too much ground.
Blinded, Drako crashed into the wall of the building.
Tom groaned in pain and gasping for breath from the weight of Drako on top of him. In his temporary blindness, he heard how the invaders were beaten, or so he believed when he recognized the shouts of joy from his friends. After the 20 seconds that the skill lasted, he was finally able to see.
The impact had left Tom disabled for the moment and not to mention that his body would no longer bear using his gift, so he was taken inside the station. But he asked Drako to help, as it was suggested by an adult who approached him. While the children were ordered to enter the building, they were no longer necessary, and you could see in the faces of these people the shame for having allowed them to fight.
They entered with weariness on their faces, some with tears, others seemed to have lost something. When his friends came in, they were also with complicated expressions, but they smiled at him and approached him.
He tried to push them away when he remembered that he had wet his pants, but they were all sweaty and covered in blood. With a long sigh as he sat down on the floor, tears began to flow down Adolf's face.
Aiden was staring at the ceiling. Sarah was standing with her eyes fixed out. The sounds of combat continued but no longer had their previous intensity.

The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.
