《Vyndra Stories》Shock

Tom was heading to the Gifted Training Center, as anticlimactic as it was as they won the cocktail, he was happy with his newfound earnings.
During the walk, he noticed that there were still quite a few people in the city. And from what I'd read, it would be like this for a while. The revolution brought by the new possibilities of creatures was in full swing.
Suddenly a wave of posters appeared in AR, asking people to stay at home or go to the nearest shelter. The gifted were to be on standby.
He didn't know what this meant for him. A message came from the group chat of his friends, Aiden said that if he was near the center, go directly.
After reading this, he made the little dragon on his shoulders revert to its digital state, and started running.
He was halfway to his destination.
Noelle was observing the situation. She had finished her morning exercise when the alarms sounded. Now he was with his battle team and Batze by his side, the creatures could, in these situations, also release their power to defend the city.
This was an unusual situation. Something like this should not happen on this planet. He did not believe that any of the other species would break the "alliance". So it could be some dissident group ... he remembered when Batze told him that the people who were with his brother were somehow interfering with the network ...
I couldn't teach.
He began to move to focus on other things. People seemed just as incredulous as she. The atmosphere was strange, had a feeling of awkwardness.
I look up, and at the edges of the city, the shield was not activated.
"This is not good," he muttered.
Someone wanted to bring whatever is happening to the city. I noticed as I walked that some groups were moving differently from the rest. It felt like several things were happening at the same time.
Maybe it was just some government division.
- Do you want to do something with them? - asked Batze, who also noticed these people.
- No… we don't know what it is exactly. Let's wait for orders. I don't want to get involved ...
-They could be related to him ...
"... Hmm ... now that I remember, Tom should be on the street now."
He sent her a message asking where he was. He replied that he was heading downtown because of the location he was sent. They were close by.

- He's close ... We're going to escort him, and see if there are more of these people on the way.
- Okay.
People moved awkwardly; most of the passersby seemed to be mostly people who had arrived on the planet recently.
While the population of this solar system was aware that there were forces in the galaxy that we're trying to reach the planet. "Never" in the last thousands of years did the conflict come directly to Vyndra.
Somehow the joint forces managed to keep the conflict away. This was the official account. There were periods when the odd incidents happened, but the government managed to dismiss those cases.
There were also periods of peace, but it could be said that the people on this star could not differentiate what those moments were. That's how peaceful the reality of these people was.
Noelle came from one of those stars who were in the middle of the conflict. Although the current situation was not comparable to that of his childhood, all this reminded him of his past.
When she saw Tom waiting against a wall staring blankly, she snapped back to reality.
- Let's go. We will accompany you to your school.- he said, and he was startled.
- Master! ... sorry, I didn't notice it. - He said, embarrassed.
- Okay, don't worry, let's move.
Tom nodded, and they continued on their way. The path was silent. He did not dare to speak, seeing what his teacher would be like as he watched the surroundings.
He had sent a message to his friends, asking if they knew anything about the situation, but no one responded. It was strange since they usually responded right away; the message was sent after receiving the letter from his teacher that he was waiting for him, 5 minutes had already passed.
- This is strange ... - He accidentally roared.
- What? .- Batze asked who was paying attention to Tom all this time.
-… uh… ah yeah, mmm… for some reason, I can't send messages.
"Wait," Noelle said, stopping.
I also try to access the network but could not. A moment later, an explosion sounded in the direction where the training center was located. They were at one end to the south of the city, so if you rose a little and looked in the direction of the blast, you could see if something was coming from outside.

He activated his gift and levitated him about 50 meters in the sky. There were no large buildings in this part of the city, so at this point, he could see a series of columns of smoke on the outskirts, and also in the institute, where Tom was going. More explosions began to echo throughout the city.
A projectile hit his side, thanks to the defense of his team, it only pushed him a few meters. I was hoping that whoever shot was just having a low aim. Immediately under the ground to find a safe place. As he landed, he saw Tom's pale face.
- you're good?
- Eh? ... yes, yes ... I have to go downtown ... my friends ... - he said erratically.
- No, it's not safe. I'll take you to a place where you can take shelter, and I'll see what happens. - Noelle answered as she watched the surroundings.
The explosions continued to be heard around. With the network tapped, she couldn't be sure if the enemy was human or not, and if they were, she couldn't identify who was friend or enemy. The safest thing in this situation was to go to some institution where there would surely be allies. The closest thing at this time was Tom's school.
But the situation there was not exactly... he did not want to let the boy see something that he should not, but from what he knew and from his reaction, he probably would have already witnessed that kind of thing. Still, he didn't want to, so as they moved, he looked for a building where he could leave it.
He found a commercial building. When they entered, I took him directly to the underground warehouses, and it was already full of people. They interrogated her before letting her leave the place; the warehouse had a shield that would keep them safe, so she felt calm. She immediately left the area and ran towards the school.
She would have to be very careful. And she felt nervous about it. After all, she chose to teach how to enter the security forces, not because of a lack of ability. Still, because she wanted a calmer life, reality showed that that ideal life she dreamed of a few years ago would not be realized fact for the moment.
Half an hour earlier.
Sarah, Aiden, and Adolf were waiting at the entrance of the center for Tom's arrival; they were very animated, talking about what they achieved thanks to the "awakening." Now her training would take a new turn, the physical would always be the base, but now the main thing would be her understanding of the fundamental forces and laws that govern reality.
So it was no longer necessary for them to participate in a tournament. It was a great event to win the cocktail at such a young age; being one of the few who did it, it was something to be proud of. However, the way they did it gave them a bitter feeling.
Being the first of the year to achieve this gave them a significant advantage over the rest, with this fact and looking to the future, they managed to calm down.
When the alarms sounded, they did not understand what was happening, but they woke up from their astonishment when one of the teachers came out and ordered all the children and adolescents to enter the main building where the grand opening hall was.
It was also announced after the connection to the network was lost, that anyone who had a creature capable of defending or fighting could release it, in case something happened. The teachers could not protect them; they were authorized to act.
"It should be here by now," Adolf said, looking around.
"I'll go tell one of the teachers about the situation," Sarah commented when she remembered that the teachers didn't tell her anything, and then she went to one of the teachers who was standing guard.
"If she's with her teacher, she should be fine…" Aiden muttered as she paid attention to the shock waves that could be heard from the valley behind the institution.
The atmosphere was quite hectic; the children were not used to this kind of tension; even the situation was unprecedented. This time a series of explosions echoed from the city. The murmur among the students turned silent.
And to break the silence, a vast impact sounded outside the building; the sound went through the barrier, so that spoke to how loud it was. The teachers began asking their students to calm down.
Then a feral roar that made everyone tremble in fear resounded in the area.
