《Reverend Insanity(But it was me DIO!)》Chapter 10: Did this Dio ever told you that he's actually a doctor?

"Where I am?
Am I still alive?"
Ma Shan Hu opened his eyes, to his surprise he was on his room, with bandages all around his body, and almost all his wounds healed, he felt oddly refreshed...
Even though he was still exhausted and tired, he felt that his body now had a greater health condition, somehow.
Suddenly, the door is opened.
There it was, Dio, he was bringing many dishes upon his door, together with some natural medicines and herbs he found on the zone.
Dio giggled, upon noticing Ma Shan Hu's awakening.
"Are you up already?"
Ma Shan Hu looks with suspicion at Dio, his body was covered by a lot of dirt and dry blood and he had many herbs gathered on his palms.
Which made him frown.
"mmm, the only proper healer we have is Ma Yan Luy or me, but she was the one who endured the biggest workload during the activation of that cloud-lighting Killer Move, and me, well, I don't need to explain do I?
In such case, unless she has already recovered enough, the only one who could help me is...you?"
Dio nodded.
"Right, right, did I ever told you that I'm actually a Gu master proficient on healing methods?"
Of course, his experiences related to the field where mostly from his 'experiments', such as the creation of chimeras or the Heavenly Insights he received, overall, as he knew all the muscle and bone positions, he could perfectly alter and move the tissue perfectly without any issues.
At the same time, thanks to his Vampiric essence he could directly repair and inject with vitality other creatures, of course, he rarely did this, there was no point in healing anybody.
But, now, well, for starters he required a living Ma Shan Hu to honor that promise, and to acquire his ambition to awaken and aperture, secondly...
"Here's the bill, accounting for all your bone fractures, blood I refilled, minor internal injuries I repaired, purification and relocation of multiple veins and arteries..."
The more Dio spoke, the more Ma Shan Hu got angrier, he was already on a crippling debt, and he was adding salt to the wound.
"By the way, I also would like to remind you that the promise of the 5,500 Primeval Stones, Gu recipes and half your slaves is still set on stone."
Ma Shan Hu's eyes became red, he was about to toss blood!
"Lastly, let me give you a piece of an advice..."
Dio hit his face with a lot of strength, breaking his nose.
"Don't ever dare to drag me on your fights again!"
After taking that anger out of his chest, Dio left the room and with a cold laughter he said.
"See ya later, anyway, if you wish my help repair the damage, of well, everyone on this Gu house who hasn't already taken as slave to me of course, just give me a call.
I always treat people at a reasonable price."

His laughter resonated across the room.
Dio had made huge gains this time.
For starters, whilst Ma Shan Hu had been slept he had already treated pretty much all of his 'slaves', he took them on a room one by one, and began to treat their wounds.
During this time, he didn't forget to hypnotize them and then interrogate them, and take some of their blood to replenish his losses.
On this way, he managed to fill many of the gaps of knowledge he still had.
Another factor to mention was that even though most of the slaves he got were 'mortals', a small fraction of them already held an aperture, and Gu's.
Among some of them, some even had 'Strength permanent Gu worms.'
What are those kinds of Gu's?
They're Gu's that permanently alter the constitution of the body, some, add strands of tungsten on their blood veins, some iron fragments on the outer layer of the bones, some stardust on the skin and so on.
Overall, the effect of those Gu's varied, some were used to amplify the effect of certain other Gu's, some to get a healthier body or soul, some focused on repairing the damage of the body or even the age or sex of the Gu master.
Whilst some, permanently altered the physical strength of the Gu master.
Boar Strength, Elephant Strength, Alligator Strength, Dragon Strength, and many other hundreds of Gu's altered the constitution.
On his case, among the slaves there were some which held Rabbit Strength, Horse Strength and Boar Strength.
Unfortunately, he still hadn't acquired a 'full-conversion', after all the effect of those Gu's wasn't instantaneous.
Whilst the Gu's and their Gu masters also had their restrains of Primeval Essence and energy, thus, he regretfully couldn't become stronger overnight.
And that wasn't all, after all, not only he gave his services to his own slaves but to anyone who gave him a decent offer.
Among them, he treated a rank 3 Gu master who had been poisoned by the threads of that mutant spider, he was a Strength, Earth path Gu master.
Whom had just a single permanent Strength Gu worm known as 'Body mantle', from the series of the three Gu's, 'Body nucleus', 'Body crust', 'Body mantle.'
Those three Gu worms were basically, Gu worms which specialized on improving the constitution of certain body parts, in the case of Body mantle Gu it focused on the external body.
Of course, it wasn't that simple, the 'improvement' was a consequence of adding multiple substances which increased the density of the body and muscle tissue.
Among them, the highest concentration of materials was of 'Earth' path, featuring mainly 'Earth Qi.'
This had many benefits, such as increasing the power of Earth Gu worms of the Gu master, and decreasing the effect of external Gu worms to the body, thus, granting another layer of protection over the Gu master.
But, there's no such thing as an completely good thing on the world.

The effect of 'healing' Gu worms was also decreased heavily, Ma Yan Luy's water path method failed.
Whilst Ma Shan Hun's emphasized 'balance' and 'Harmony', he used many Gu's such as Harmony Qi, Stabilize Qi, his 5 types of Elemental Qi Gu worms and so on.
Thus his excessive 'Earth Qi' proved to be detrimental to his recovery, whilst on Dio's case?
His methods who didn't rely on extravagant Gu worms but on direct, physical interactions did wonders for him.
Naturally, Dio also took for himself the effect of the Gu he used it, many, many times, nourishing his body greatly.
It was such the pleasure he felt that he actually began to sing.
Currently, he only received a small fraction of their effect, who knew how powerful would he be upon achieving full-effect with all those Gu worms.
Of course, he made proper excuses for each scenario, together with his 'body improvements' he gave, which included repairing the vision of someone who had been blind, or repairing a damaged organ, he did this 'progressively.'
An organ for session, not for a lack of ability, but because he wanted to extend as much as possible the time he was exposed to Gu's, obviously, to those who he gave such treatment, he mentioned that they had a 'preferential treatment' for their condition of an exceptional Gu master.
He made them believe that the reason why mortals took so little to be attended whilst it took so long for them was because of their prestige.
...
As for other things, he found a proper Soul path Gu to nourish his blood but it was unbelievable meek.
After using for two hours, one to 'strengthen' his soul foundation through 'Blizzard upon the soul' rank 2 Gu, and another 'Cold mind, Icy soul' to refine it, he merely managed to repair around a hundredth thousandth of his Stand's wound!
Just which kind of pathetic soul people on this world had?
This thought troubled Dio considerably.
After all, as long as he recovered his Stand, he could defeat any non-immortal opponent, for example, he could have defeated that mutant spider by just screaming 'ZA WARUDO' once.
...
The days passed, Dio ordered to his slaves to prepare the materials, he required to get new clothes to adapt to this new world.
After all, on this Gu world there were all sort of 'Light' Gu worms which could kill him with ease, and that couldn't be allowed!
For the fabrication of his new cloths, he had used many materials and fabrics, he had even to intervene personally at some instances, as even the seamstresses couldn't comprehend the 'style' Dio was trying to acquire with his new design of clothes.
Such as the addition of metal heart-shaped materials on various parts of his outfit such as his belt, this heart had two main colors.
One was green to represent his previous world and the other side was purplish to represent the new one.
He also added many symbols to his right which represented a 'mask', a 'dagger', and the silhouette of two figures, they represented both his current 'The World' Stand and its evolution 'The Truth.'
When, he recovered progressively the power of each Stand he would naturally fill the gaps of those images.
On the left side he put the image of the biceps and muscles which represented strength, and the image of his centipede, Destiny Gu.
That and other figures extended from the area of his chest, to his legs, on his red clothes.
Finally, there was some fur on the area of the shoulders, the hands, and the legs.
Whilst Dio was covered with brown dense gloves, and lastly he had a huge 'mask' which covered all his face, and as a hood he used the decapitated head of a lion.
Truly, both he and Ma Shan Hu were too extravagant, after all on the Northern Plains, honor was everything, women normally had to cover with luxury to show her value.
Whilst men, normally held simple plain clothes and proved their worth through their fights.
Winner took all, that was a rule established by Giant Sun Immortal Venerable, in which all his descendants from this whole continent would fight on a constant war each decade.
The tribes that prevailed and devoured others would grow progressively stronger and would have a higher chance to pass through his legacy the Imperial Court Blessed Land where he left hundreds of inheritances.
Whoever proved he was powerful enough, by winning the war, and surviving Giant Sun's trials would prove to be competent enough to inherit a part of his legacy.
An hereditary monarchy!
Absolute power over a region, our male friends are like our hand our feet whilst the women are merely like clothes!
Winner takes all, those who lose become slaves, whilst those who win take them as their pawns for the ambitions.
That was Giant Sun's ambition and burning desire of his soul.
This was also why the people from this zone were so specialized and good at fighting, they're after all used to war as a part of their lifestyle.
People like Dio or Ma Shan Hu who took pride on their clothes and cared about elegancy were odd among men here.
Of course, this wasn't that bad for them, at least for Ma Yan Luy she was very appreciate of Ma Shan Hu's style, if she was at the orders of any other, she'd never be able to explore her potential, among, other tragedies that would happen to her.
...
At the end of the day, cruelty and death befell on anyone here, conflict was abundant, and because of their beliefs and thoughts, those violent were actually rewarded here.
After all, those who defeated their opponent on combat and took their Primeval Stones were all valuable assets.
Violence was rewarded, whilst kindness was punished and mocked at frequently, that was the nature of the Gu world.

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
