A few minutes earlier, before Dio came to the world.

There were two gigantic creatures fighting each other.

One was a mutant spider of over 20 meters tall, it had a green curved 'abdomen', which resembled vaguely a leaf, and its 8 legs looked like the trunk of a tree.

When it was young it likely used its qualities to hide and pretend to be a part of a tree, obviously it was now far beyond this point.

And the other, well...

For starters, it moved mechanically almost like a puppet.

Despite it was 10 meters tall and it had over 90 meters of length, it barely made a sound with each step as it was as dense as a leaf.

That thing also had two pinky crystal 'eyes', which were in fact windows.

Its nose was brown and was curved taking the shape of a door, with teeth that resembled the stairs of a house.

Needless to say it wasn't a real lizard, but a Gu, a Gu house.

A Gu house is made of the corpse of multiple animals which are refined and manipulated to create a house which could shrink and expand as you liked.

A house that could move and even store materials, that was a Gu house.

Inside this house there were all sorts of events passing such as dozens of bulky strong mans grabbing and dragging multiple stones towards tiny-catapults.

Which were then shoot by the Gu 'Push stone' through the 'window-eyes' of the lizard, to the spider, breaking many of its intricate webs.

They also threw multiple 'Fire daggers' which would burn for 20 to 25 seconds before extinguishing, through them they cut and burnt the webs whilst also holding their own ground.

"Boom!" Others also prepared all sorts of fireworks, some used Gu's for the process whilst others merely used their wits and knowledge to create explosives on the act.

The spider was sly and precise on each of its movements, it dodged with precaution, as if it was a war veteran which fought for 30 years.

It also had a masterful control of its webs, which were manipulated by the tiny hairs which resembled leaf's, continuously it created more and more complex patterns.

Such as whips, which it used to attack the house or multiple ropes which shoot at the 'legs' of the lizard on an attempt to make it fall.

Though, every time it was about to do so, a strong men appeared with an axe to cut those strings down.

The man was a sacrificial fighter, an slave or gladiator who could only find freedom through acquiring enough merits or fighting strength.

Their name came from their purpose they're tasked to do suicidal tasks frequently, though with the promise that if they died their families would be rewarded handsomely and freed.

They cut through the thick green-webs of the mutant spider with the best of their ability, a pile of corpses was gathering at all directions.

Which the spider eat with pleasure and which increased its fighting spirit, it was hungry it required food, high-quality food.

On its simple mind the spider thought that he was only getting some 'chunks' of a single target, if it eat the core, it'd be nourished greatly!

To grow it required apertures, the higher their rank the better.

Thus, the exquisite flavor inside that shell of a Lizard tempted the spider greatly.

"GRAH." It sink its teeth on the Lizard house, but multiple iron rods were shoot, preventing it from biting at full force.

Whilst a dagger with a flaming aura was shoot closely to it.

Two different Gu masters were combining their Gu's and Killer Moves into an even more powerful one!

The iron rods began to burn on flames and thin silver threads formed connecting them in between from where the flames burn even more intensively.

The spider blocked with two of its legs, then it retreated, but before it left a huge stone fell in one of its eight eyes.

"GRAHH!" It screamed heavily.

Using that brief period where it was confused one of the Gu masters began to give orders to the Gu, and so the Lizard Gu house moved rapidly as it began to fly away.

Inside the Gu house.

"How many losses we had?"

A blond handsome teenager says, his tone was calm and even weak.

His face was pale and he had multiple wounds on all his body, though they're mostly covered by the dense aurora around him, while he meditated.

His aurora had 5 colors showing a red, celeste, white, pale green and brown shine which surged through his body cyclically.

His robes were also very similar going from white to black with all the colors in between, as if it were a color palette and it had many symbols such as the 'Ying-yang' engraved in it.

Those symbols from his robes reacted with the Gu with the form of a furnace in front of him, which constantly shoot fragments of Primeval Stones to him and his aperture.

With this constant flux of energy, he was constantly healing his wounds and recovering his Primeval reserves.

"We lost the life of over 23 rank 1 Gu masters, 8 rank 2 Gu masters, and one of our rank 3 Gu masters has been poisoned.

As of our resources, our logistics Gu masters are still calculating the losses but we lost over 5 kgs of Leaves of a '4 springs tree', 300 g of silver grass, 250 g of lycan meat...."

A tall, bulky middle-aged man with a dual-layer armor, the one at the outer layer was made of fragments of diamonds and other hard substances, and the inner layer was made of mail-steel armor.

The more he explained the more pale the face of the blond teenager became.

The bulky man sighed.

"Young master, Ma Shan Hu how are your Primeval reserves?"

Ma Shan Hu frowned.

"6% the activation of the rank 4 Armored Big Lizard House was simply too exhausting for my 85% rank 3 peak stage aperture."

He glanced at his soldier and said.

"Ma Xu Zhen, activate your Sharp strong eyes Killer Move.

Investigate our surrounds, if we make any careless movement, perhaps the Gu house will fall into quicksand or something of the sorts.

If we make a single mistake on our current state, we're dead."

Ma Xu Zhen nodded solemnly, he relaxed his eyes and closed them.

A few seconds later, he activated the Killer Move.

A thin white stream surged at all directions enveloping all the field.

Ma Xu Zhen fell to the ground he struggled under the pain.

"Give me a second to process what I saw..."

He said with some difficulty, this Killer Move was not too expensive in terms of Primeval Essence, at least for its effect.

but it had many weakness, for starters it required a huge 'body foundation', a strong ordinary man without any prior Strength Cultivation would likely burst a vein and die.

Due to the huge amount of Gu's he had used Ma Xu Zhen only feel cramps all over his body.

Another defect of the Gu it was that only could be activated for a fraction of a second, it was 'cheap' on the sense that it could be used to investigate a huge battlefield on a brief moment without much energy used.

But it wasn't precisely easy to maintain, as it would overwhelm the brain and that for each 'instant' of activation its cost of Primeval Essence and body foundation would increase tremendously.

After some time, Ma Xu Zhen recovered his mental clarity and said.

"A man, there's a man a few hundreds of meters to the south.

He holds a rank 1 Gu around his neck like a collar.

Even though I couldn't see through his Cultivation his body felt though, incredibly though, that and the fact that his biceps are bigger than his head mean that he's a Strength path Cultivator.

Someone with a higher body foundation than me..."

Upon finishing his sentence, Ma Shan Hu gulped.

"Stronger body than you?

This means that he must be at least a rank 3 upper or peak stage Gu master.

Did he come here for Ma Pa Hung's inheritance?"

He gritted his teeth.

"Is he a ruthless Demonic Cultivator who wouldn't hesitate to kill hundreds for his goals or a Lone Cultivator who is merely trying his luck?"

After a long pause, he concluded.

"If he is a Demonic Cultivator, then we'll drag him down with us, if he's a Lone or Righteous Cultivator we'll compensate for this 'inconvenience'...

Tell to Ma Yan Luy to drive this Gu house to the south, as for the means to do so, and the organization of our troops I'll gave her the right to decide, now hurry up and tell her!"

Ma Xu Zhen nodded. "Yes, I'll follow your orders right away, my young master!"

Ma Shan Hu frowned.

"But, first, bring me a Reinforced Audio Recorder Gu', I'll give a proper speech to him..."

Ma Yan Luy gave multiple orders to many Gu masters, she organized an assault to the mutant spider.

Quickly after making the preparations, they began their plan.

For starters, over a dozen of Flaming daggers were shoot with over a hundred ordinary and plain daggers.

Followed quickly by multiple 'iron rods' which were shoot to the ground forming an odd 'iron fence', with multiple silver strings.

Then, lastly there were multiple sparks of a blue light surging through the Gu house and finally a ray of beam was shoot, and thus, the Gu house accelerated at an incredible speed.

...

Whilst this was passing, Dio was 'searching' for the source of the anomalies, without realizing that he was in fact, only getting closer to the corpses of many of the mortals and Gu masters who died at the moment.

The reason why he didn't detect their 'smell' nor 'blood', was because the mutant spider's web could restrain and block all smell sources.

That was a mechanism that nature gave to the spider, so it could grow safely on its first years.

After all, its poison at short doses takes hours and even days to kill even the tiniest of preys.

...

Returning to the present.

The mutant spider glances at Dio perceiving a rich diversity of Qi's from his body, it tries to shoot a web towards him to pull him towards its mouth.

Dio quickly reacts and jumps, evading the web.

But as he was on mid-air the mutant spider could with ease shoot another web which this time hit directly at his stomach.

Yet, Dio wasn't flustered, with his nails he slashed down the web and glanced at the spider.

"Hmph, vile beast do you think you can stand against me?"

Dio squints lightly.

"Space Ripper Stingy eyes!"

A dense beam was shoot towards the mutant spider.

One of the legs of the spider is lightly wounded by Dio's attack, yet, it still shoots another web, giving no time to recover to Dio.

Then, it retreats and mends its wound with some of its web.

This mutant spider clearly had a higher intelligence and spirituality than a normal beast, and that was mostly due to its diet of Apertures.

Such kind of opponent greatly annoyed Dio, this time he decided to take a different course of action.

He allowed the spider to 'pull' him down with one of its webs, and then...

The webs quickly began to cool down and freeze, until they shatter at the two sides, and thus, those pointy ends, pierced the hairs and even the 'trunk' leg of the spider.

Once more the spider twitched in pain, which gave the chance to Dio to use another move.

His palm began to vibrate rapidly, the heat increased at an incredibly speed on his palms, and then.

"Heat Wave Palm Strike."

Dio shouts, his technique used the concept of 'air waves.'

Its concept was inspired by Dire, a Hamon master he killed with ease.

But on spite that, Dio knew the importance of a huge diversity of techniques.

Furthermore, he wanted a 'flying' technique to soar in the skies, his thought process was the following: 'If humans can levitate, why can't I Dio fly?'

Of course, he never had the time to practice this concept and develop it fully, and thus, his current limit was to control a small part of the wind flow through quick movements.

Which, he then used to shoot a powerful Heat wave towards the exposed fragile leg-tissue of the spider.

After hitting its body, the spider began to move erratically, his 'legs' moved through hydropresion and now that some small parts were boiling, it couldn't no longer control this leg precisely.

Dio could attempt to swiftly kill the spider under this opportunity, but instead he also retreated.

Finally, when he was close enough to the Gu house he shouted.

"I already showed you my sincerity.

Is now time you show me yours, or what, do you expect me to do all the work for you?"
