《Omen Philosophy (Web Novel)》Chapter 27 - Best Kept Secret
Advertisement
Crawling in the very fabric of darkness, Nocturne stealthily moved forward like a ghost. His stealth was at such a level that disappearing in the daylight would be tedious. Behind him, the nameless noble vampires, and high-ranking members of the Mallory family.
4 enemies up ahead. Nocturne message via telepathy, a skill he learned in the process of becoming a master warrior. Requires no expenditure in AP or MP.
The Thieves Guildmaster stealthily moved forward and wielded the giant, Bind Saber. The length of the greatsword is described to be as tall as a full-grown man taking shape like a butcher knife. There is a cutout of a crescent moon close to the top.
Name: Bind Saber Grade: Legendary -National Treasure of a destroyed country by The Undead, Lich, Deluc. He sent hordes of high-tier undead to destroy the hero’s kingdom for plunging Bind Saber into Deluc’s Blood Orb. -Has absorbed the nature of the Blood Orb and can employ Blood Skills and Blood Magic.
With two hands, he readied his attack that required finesse so Nocturne executed an attack like a baseball swing. In one smooth movement, the head of the vampires began to fall in less than 5 seconds.
Looks like our eldest brother is beyond our reach now. Both a Mystic Warrior and a Master Thief are something to boast about. Delvin Mallory messaged the entire team.
You always talked a lot Ol’ Delvin. Save it until after the mission. Nocturne replied. The Bludhaven Castle was created by the lesser vampires of the family. Finally. Sweep the area and allow no entry into the Vampire Lord’s Chamber. They had reached the interior wing of the giant castle where Demon Lord Silphy lays her head.
Like the wind passing into the castle through open windows, the team scoured each room. The nameless noble vampire who has the title, Daywalker, is standing guard of the Demon Lord’s chamber.
Before officially beginning the mission, Nocturne had thoughts of how to do it. If it was Gerald’s way, they would go through the front and cause a ruckus. No, this time, Nocturne intends to do this completely silent. Still, to inflict a sneak attack on a Demon Lord is an extremely difficult thing to do.
Thanks to Veda’s intelligence of the country, Lindblum, Nocturne had deduced a plan in which to infiltrate such a place infested with blood-sucking creatures of the night. A place no ordinary person would delve into. Yet, Nocturne wanted to sneak in an attack that would kill a Vampire in one instance.
When the Demon Lord came into view, Nocturne saw Demon Lord Silphy resting in an old, elegant casket. There she is. Veda, scan her data if you don’t mind.
An excellent order. Analyzing… Demon Lord Silphy… Vampire Lord. A window popped up detailing the attributes of the enemy.

Out of the 3 Demon Lords under the rule of Baal, Vampire Lord Silphy is the strongest. So, to think of fatally killing a character like this in one stroke is almost impossible. Though, such things were not beneath the level of someone like Nocturne, head of the family of world-class thieves, 6th Demonic Master, Demon Lord Slayer, and Virtu’s Guildmaster. Therefore, he brandished the sacred dagger bequeathed to him by the Lord Vicegerent.
Name: Kris Naga Grade: Legendary -Known as the most beautiful dagger in the world wielded by masters of skill and finesse. Only Master Thieves can equip this weapon. -Always inflicts critical hits. -Inflicts instant death to vampires. -Brings the user great fortune.
It was a dagger he got after conquering the Daywalker’s Dungeon. To think that a weapon that is the bane to vampires would be in their treasury was a delightful surprise. It was gifted to him by Lord Vicegerent for his contribution to the conquering of Hollow World. Next, it was the dagger he got after returning to his family.
Name: Fortuna Grade: Legendary Relic -A relic of the Mallory family. Passed down from one family head to another, it was the weapon that brought fortune to the Mallory family for centuries. -Always inflicts critical hits. Nightingale’s Profit - Greatly increases the chance of finding precious gems or lost hidden treasure.
Truly, a bewitching knife with an elegant rose-motif hilt, yet sharp enough to slice flesh, hide, or scale with the greatest of ease. It would be with Kris Naga and Fortuna that would end the life of the Demon Lord.
Readying his stance, Nocturne prepared a couple of things. First, he applied the Mallory family’s signature poison on his weapon and silently activated Aura. Thankfully, the Arcane Skill he learned in the Blood and Ebony Tower, Quiet Casting, enables all spells to be silent when cast, including Aura. The last thing he did before attacking was cast the Invisible spell.
Everythings prepared. Nocturne placed both his daggers in an “X” style execution form and poured all his power in one single attack.
Ultimate Techniques: [Skill - Mallory Finesse Handling/Manipulation] Absolution - An ultimate technique developed to kill sleeping Dragons. -Absorbs HP. -Always inflicts critical hits. -Inflicts instant death. Rank: EX Proficiency: 112
What should have been an outpour of monstrous energy was really a quiet night with a cold breeze, yet, the level of stealth that Nocturne can employ spoke volumes of his talent and skill. With the power to kill Dragons in one shot, the ultimate skill was executed.
Critical!
900672!
897105!
Overkill!
No wonder Nocturne felt no pressure from killing a Vampire Lord in one stroke. He had an Ultimate Technique that was strong enough to kill even Dragons. So, for a Demon Lord and a Vampire Lord who doesn’t fall short, it was the perfect move to deploy. Still, no sound was emitted as Demon Lord Silphy was sent to the nether realm without knowing what happened.
Mission Complete! Congratulations! Demon Lord Silphy has been slain!

The news about the Demon Lords subjected to Demon Lord Baal had scoured most of the world. Such news was released much faster than Dario had thought. Now that the existence of the Omen Sect was known, the element of surprise was a card they could no longer use.
It took less than a month to eradicate the Demon Lords and their armies. Now, Carugonia, Orkis, Ryoku, and Lindblum belong to the Omen Sect. With Carugonia being fully consolidated by setting up The Grand Castle in Obviam Deis as a Magic Tower, once the connection was established with other existing towers made that territory fully under the Omen Sect’s control. The same was said with Orkis, Ryoku, and Lindblum, as Dario sent his undead to secure the area. As of now, more than 25% of the Omen Sect’s stolen territory has successfully returned to its rightful owners.

This brings us to the continent of Serdio, where a long-standing war is currently under a cease-fire agreement. Half a century ago, there was a royal dispute over the ascension to the throne by the late King of Serdio’s brother, Doel who had split the continent in two and proclaimed his half as the Imperial Ranpossa and Kazas as the capital. It had happened at the height of the Omen Campaign.
This is where the Dark Elves of the Omen Sect comes in. During the reign of Lord Vicegerent Gloriano, King Thranduil of the Dark Elves was entrusted with the sacred duty of protecting the chosen successor to the continent of Serdio. When the time came, a human from the Serdio Continent will be under the wing of the Shadow King, one of the few beings who have walked the earth for thousands of years.

His task was to teach the young human boy, Prince Albion of the Serdio Continent the ways of a King. The Dark Elves were in seclusion at the same time after the disappearance of the previous Vicegerent, making them one of the original members of the Omen Nation spanning 10,000 years ago. Patient and graceful, they waited no longer. They were called back to the Omen Sect and heed the call of Lord Vicegerent. Finally, King Thranduil and the Dark Elves would end their sacred duty.
Located at Mount Tian inside of the War Room were the highest-ranking, and frankly, a few of the most powerful beings currently on the planet. In a marbled room is where the meeting of how the Serdio Continent would be reclaimed. “Your Graces, the Night Army will sweep this region. When the momentum shifts to the side of Prince Albion, he will charge to the Duchy of Basilisk with the Ten Royal Lancers and my brother, Glenn Courtwell.” Eyes shifting to see the Lord Disciple’s younger brother, what appeared was the face of a tanned young man with silver hair, a tattooed face reminiscent of Dario’s tattoo, and platinum eyes. The Omen Sect’s best-kept secret was about to enter the world.

“Your Graces, I would like to introduce the Leader of the Night Army, Grandmaster, Archmagus, Lord Apprentice, Glenn Courtwell,” the hologram Dario said. “He speaks with my Master’s voice. A command from him is a command from the Lord Vicegerent himself.”
Understanding the new figure entering the fold of the Night Army, shocked some people in the room of the unknown existence of Dario’s younger brother. Truthfully, when Jinn first entered the debased village of the Omen Nation, Glenn had caught the eye of The Angel of Death. In the grey hues of Jinn’s eyes, he saw sickness, a sort of disease that sucks a person’s life energy, Taeyang-Jichae. Symptoms of such a condition make a person permanently with 0 MP. Even though breathing methods and cultivating chi techniques would eventually be drained back to 0. However, the knowledge and technology within Jinn’s possession have a few solutions to such an evasive terminal illness. A classic sign of a person who has been afflicted with Taeyang-Jichae dies before reaching puberty, making it a terminal illness that is hard to identify.
At the time, Jinn had already made up his mind about what he intended for Dario’s younger brother, to make Glenn as the Lord Vicegerent’s apprentice. This brings us back to how Glenn was cured. Jinn had bequeathed his apprentice with Quantum Nanomachines. The technology back on Earth has progressed to the point of creating nanomachines, it was only recently that Jinn himself evolved nanotechnology to the Quantum Realm.
“Your Majesty, King Albion, this is your land, how do you wish to proceed?” Asked the young apprentice.
“I believe when we reclaim Fortress City, Gaspless, Jade Dragon Mountain, and Imperial Academy, Duplieren, is when we can strike the Imperial Captial,” said King Albion.
“How long was the duration of the Civil War?” Replied Glenn.
“Depends on the strength of our forces and the strategy to take down Emperor Doel.”
The conversation for strategy was about to begin, but, was interrupted with a voice that they could not resist. It was the Lord Vicegerent. Glenn knelt at the sight of his Master, “Lord of the Seven Heavens,” said Glenn.
“My apprentice, rise.” Glenn acquiesced. “Your Graces,” Jinn was addressing King Thranduil and King Albion. “The night is long at the right season and short in another, at this time, it is the former. Your Majesty, this is how a king plots his way to an easy victory.”
At the end of those words, Jinn divulged his strategy to take down Emperor Doel and his compatriots in a series of dominoes falling.

Wasn't my new life in a magical world supposed to be easy?
Victor Norman died. And then he was reincarnated into another world by a powerful entity and given awesome skills. So far so good. He thought that fun days of adventure awaited him like any other protagonist that found themselves in a similar situation. He thought that he would be unrivalled and free. He thought that his new life in a magical world would be easy. So why is it that things are turning out this way? Hello, author here~. If you are willing to read this story, I'll warn that I am writing this story purely on a whim, with very little planning and purely for my enjoyment. I don't know how things will turn out but let's hope they will go well~. I will be giving my other story that will be rewritten and renamed later priority so there won't be consistent releases but I'll do my best not to drop it or put it on hiatus for too long. Beware that this story will (maybe) contain: gore (moderate amounts), profanity (moderate amounts), litRPG elements, (probably) logical plot holes. It won't contain (a lot of): politics, romance (mm, likely not much), harem. As for the warnings about gore, profanity, sexual content and traumatising content, I don't know what I will put in there so it's not necessarily true that they will be present. I do not own the picture. If you have the rights for it, please contact me and I'll take it down

Good Guy Necromancer
Necromancers are murderous, repulsive, utterly ungodly creatures. And then there's Jerry. Jerry is a novice necromancer who treats his undead warmly, seeks to befriend people instead of harvest their bodies, and doesn't mind cracking a skull or two when needed. He genuinely is a good guy—too bad nobody believes him. Trying to discover his place in the world, Jerry will live great adventures. He will make friends, each unique in their own way, and together, they will travel through a variety of striking environments; from a tiny village, to the land of the dead, to a jolly archipelago, to a kingdom on a beanstalk. To save a world that shuns him, Jerry must stand against a large organization of arrogant, mighty wizards. He strives to become stronger while maintaining his kindness, only to realize that, maybe, gentle hearts make the greatest necromancers. This is the story of a delightful man in a harsh world—full of warmth, action, and wise-cracking bone puns. Chapters are usually 2-3k words, and updates are 3/week: Mon, Wed, Fri. If you're looking for another fun, action-packed adventure, check out Cultivator vs. System by yours truly, available on Kindle, KU, and Audible. But read Good Guy Necromancer first.
