Chapter 48: Blood War Part 2
The 8 Leaders charged at their own targets, not caring about anyone else. Vir was also like this, he had only one target and that was the Ug, that was why when Pug targeted him, he ignored him and ran passed through him.
This angered Pug because no one ever dared to ignore him like this before. However, when he was about to chase after Vir, someone attack him.
“Where do you think you are going piggy!” Bear shouted while swinging his large ax. “I am the one you should be worried about.”
Pug blocked the attack using his ax as a shield, but the impact was strong enough that even he, with a large body, slid off the ground for a few meters before stopping, leaving a straight-line mark on the dirt.
“I guess, you have some abilities, seeing you survive my attack,” Bear said with satisfaction knowing his enemy will last longer.
“Did you just call me piggy?” Said Pug with clear anger within his voice. “Did you know that anyone that called me that was already digested by me? I guess you are eager to be devoured by me!”
Pug rushed towards Bear while holding his ax on his right side intending to swing it vertically at his enemy. Bear didn’t have any intention to dodge the attack, he wanted to block it to test his own strength. He was a typical muscle-brain fighter, he liked to exchange blow for blow with his enemy.
His fighting style was pure brute strength and no other tactics, he believed that whoever had more strength was the strongest fighter, and he wanted to prove this by exchanging blows with his enemy without backing down.
While Pug and Bear fight was very normal, or you could say boring. The other Leaders’ fights were more eventful, like the fight between Rag and Katar. The 2 had very different fighting styles, while Rag use a massive hammer as his weapon making his attack slow but powerful, his enemy, on the other hand, used 2 knives making his attack weak yet fast.
Although the battle just started for a few minutes, Rag already had a few minor cuts on his body as he miscalculated the speed and the range of his enemy’s attacks. Still, he didn’t care about the minor injuries and already memorized his mistake so it never happened again.
Even though Rag and Bear seemed to have the same fighting style because of their weapon choices. This was not the case, despite the fact that Rag also fight primarily using his strength as his weapon was a massive hammer, he didn’t think that strength was the only important thing in the fight.

He also believed that fighting smart was just as important as his strength, he was a fighter that like to analyze his enemy’s patterns and deal with them accordingly. In their few exchanges, Katar was smiling because of the cuts he managed to inflict on his enemy. Yet, the smile was just a façade to hide what he truly felt inside.
He thought that his enemy was a muscle brain like Pug, he was confident in dealing with someone like that, because enemy like that often lose their temper if they get injured and were unable to hit back their enemy. However, far from his expectation, his enemy remained calm.
For him fighting an enemy who lost his temper was easy to deal with because their attack became predictable. Thus, he became a little worried. The longer his enemy remain calm, the harder it was for him to predict his movement, and just a single mistake could lead to defeat as his enemy was using a large hammer.
If that weapon hit him even for a single time, with his skinny body, it would lead to serious injury, but he didn’t change his tactics just because of this, in fact, he was thrilled. Katar aggressively dashed again to Rag, his enemy didn’t charge at him this time and just prepare to swing his hammer the moment he got near.
Rag swung his massive hammer right to left toward his enemy, but Katar curved his body backward to evade the attack. The moment the hammer was evaded, Katar didn’t waste a single second and instantly move forwards to attack his opponent. However, Rag was not done with his attack.
He used the weight and the momentum of his massive hammer to turn his body around and swing the hammer again. Katar halted his movement when he saw the incoming attack again, he flipped his body backward to avoid and distance himself from the hammer.
Because he saw the attack early, he was able to dodge it very narrowly. Katar was surprised by the sudden change of attack pattern of his enemy, if his reaction was a little slower, his head would have already been crushed by the massive hammer.
Rag was slowly adapting to the fighting style of his enemy, he knew that his opponent would be able to dodge his first attack, so he prepared another attack. As expected, Katar evaded his first attack, but he didn’t think that his enemy would be able to avoid his second attack.

Because both of them were surprised by each other, they halted their fight and tried to assess each other again. While Rag and Katar were being wary of one another, the fight between Saki and Cora was continuing without a single stop.
Saki was continuously using her whip to madly attack Cora, she was jealous of her beautiful face as her face was ugly and deformed. However, Cora didn’t stay still and let her enemy keep attacking her. The weapon of her choice was a spear, even though it was a normal weapon for a hunter, it was an easy and effective weapon to use, that was why it was a weapon many hunters used.
Because the range of the weapon of her opponent was wider than her weapon, she didn’t have many chances to counterattack. However, every time she saw an opportunity, she always dashed into her enemy and thrust her spear multiple times.
Even though her opponent seemingly attacked mindlessly. But every time she dashed closer, Saki would always become calm and instantly backed off for a few meters away from her. Cora tried to follow her, but Saki would use her whip to hinder her movement. After that, they would come back to her attacking Cora continuously again.
This sequence of actions was repeated several times and the fight between the two became monotonous. Their strength was the same, but Saki had a small advantage because of the longer range of her weapon.
While the 3 pairs of Leaders’ strengths were almost the same, you couldn’t say the same thing in the fight between Vir and Ug. Vir was a monster, every time he attacks, Ug would need all his strength to barely block it, but when Ug counterattacked, Vir would just deflect it effortlessly.
The gap between the two was instantly determined by just a few minutes of fighting. Although Ug was overwhelmed by Vir, he was in no way inferior to the other Blood Tribe Leaders. In fact, out of them, he was the strongest when it came to 1 on 1 fights.
But Vir was treating him like he was just a random mob. Ug finally couldn’t take it anymore and threw his spear aside, he didn’t care if the other Leaders find out about his secret weapon. His enemy was just too strong to not use every card he had.
“Are you giving up?” Vir asked. “Then tell me where is Gunnar”
“I am not giving up, in fact, I am getting serious,” Ug replied while forming his stance. “Who is Gunnar? Is that why you are so obsessed with me?”
“Gunnar is the young man you fight just a few days ago.”
“Oh, that young man,” Ug finally realized who his enemy was talking about. “So he was not able to return, what a pity he was very talented. So, if you are looking for that young man It means that you are the leader of the Phantom Tribe. I finally understand a bit why our chieftain is so interested in your tribe, seeing how strong you are.”
“What do you mean by that?” asked Vir while frowning.
“If you want to find out, then defeat me.”
Vir finally lost his temper, he also threw his spear aside. He wanted to fight Ug with his own game, to show him the difference in their strength. Vir was not only proficient in using a spear or bow, but he was also a master of all weapons, even in hand-to-hand combat.
He was a person that could be called a genius among geniuses when it came to using different kinds of weapons. Not only that, his strength was always above others even in his younger days, and because no one was able to win a duel with him, he became bored and stopped doing it entirely.
But now that he was having a duel again, his competitiveness aroused again. Ug smirked, he thought that his opponent was being overconfident with his ability. Thus, he was planning to give his all with his first attack.
Ug covered his legs and arms with Life Energy showing how serious he was. After that, he charged at Vir with full force leaving the ground full of cracks. Vir didn’t move, instead, he cover his right arm with Life Energy and wait for the Bald Man to reach him.
When Ug was close enough he used his fist to punch Vir with all of his strength, but his enemy didn’t back down. Vir also threw a punch intending to block the fist of his enemy with it, and the moment the two fists collided a loud scream resounded.
