Chapter 36: Stone Tribe Part 2
Vir walked closer to the group of young hunters. The young hunters shuddered when they saw the muscular man walking closer to them.
“D – do n - not come a – any closer” the leader of the group bravely walked forward and raised his stone hammer in front of him, making him look heroic, but his stuttering words destroyed this heroic image in an instant. “W – what do y – you want from us?”
Vir was still a few meters away from the group but he stopped when he saw the young hunters were scared of him.
“We do not have any plan to harm you,” Vir said while raising both hands gesturing that he was unarmed and had no malicious intent. “We just have a few questions that we like you to answer.”
“W - what is it? S - stay there, j - just ask your question there.” Said the leader, still unconvinced.
Vir shifted his stare at Armani, he wanted him to ask the question since he was more attuned to dealing with this kind of thing. Armani instantly comprehended what Vir meant when he looked at him, he smiled and nodded his head showing that he understood.
“First, may I know your name?” Armani asked with a calm voice. He put down his bow and also raised both hands for the same reason why Vir did it. He didn’t want to agitate the young man any further by holding a weapon in his hand.
“Why do you want to know my name?” The leader was still on guard, but he was a bit calmer when he saw the 2 strangers not holding any weapons.
“So, we can talk more comfortably,” Armani said while smiling. “Do you want me to call you young man while we talk? Do you think that is a bit awkward?”
“Then tell me your names first”
“Ahh yes, where are my manners, my name is Armani.” He introduced himself. After introducing himself, Armani pointed his finger to Vir. “That man over there is Vir. Now that we introduce ourselves can you tell us your name?”
Armani didn’t want to call Vir Head Arrow, he didn’t want to tell the young hunters unnecessary information. Vir didn’t mind Armani calling him by just his name, in fact, he didn’t want to be called by the title Head Arrow. The Arrows were the ones that decided to call him that, so he just let it be.

“My name is Bur.” The young man said with hesitation. “Now, can you tell me what you want from us?”
“Are you from the Stone Tribe?”
“Why do you want to know that?” Bur became vigilant when he heard these 2 strangers were looking for his tribe.
“You do not have to be so wary of us,” Armani said. “Do you think you can do anything if we want to harm you? we just want to talk with your Chieftain, it is very important.”
Bur seemed to finally understand that if these 2 strangers really want to harm them, they wouldn’t be able to resist.
“Why do you want to talk to our Chieftain? And how can we trust that you have no ill intent to our tribe?” Bur asked. Suddenly, the blood on his face seemingly disappear and his face turned pale when he thought of something terrifying. “Wait… A – are y – you from the Blood Tribe?”
“Sigh… as I said earlier, we do not want to harm you. Do you think we are still talking like this if we are from the Blood Tribe? We just need to torture you and force you to answer our questions.” Armani sighed with exhaustion. He was a little annoyed with Bur’s weak comprehension, that was why he used the word torture to scare him a little. “We just want to talk to your Chieftain, this is of great importance. If our talk went smoothly, your tribe and our tribe might be able to survive the hands of Blood Tribe and if that happens, you 5, will be the hero of your tribe.
Armani remembered what Bur said earlier. The 5 of them came here to prove themselves. These 5 young hunters had a big ego, and he wanted to take advantage of this so he could convince them more easily. Therefore, he emphasized that they would become the hero of their tribe.
As expected, when the 5 of them heard Armani’s words, they instantly whisper to each other discussing what should they do. After a few seconds, they seemed to have finally reached a conclusion.
“Fine, we will take you to our tribe, but on the condition that you will tell us if you have more members, and you will surrender all your weapon to us,” Bur said his condition before accepting.
Armani looked at Vir to know what his decision was. When Vir noticed Armani looking at him, he nodded his head signaling to accept the offer.

“Ok, you have a deal.” Armani accepted the condition. He kicked his bow towards the 5 young hunters showing his sincerity. “We have 8 more members looking for your tribe. If you do not mind, we like to meet them to inform them of our agreement.”
Bur finally lower his stone hammer when he saw Armani kicking his bow towards them and accepting his offer. He agreed to let them inform their member before they go back to the tribe. Armani left to meet the other member of the searching party to inform them that they already had a clue about where to find the Stone Tribe.
While Vir stayed behind to make sure the 5 young hunters wouldn’t break the deal and leave after they left to meet their other members. Soon after, Armani returned with another 8 hunters, the 5 young hunters were a little bit nervous when they saw this. However, their anxiety instantly vanished when these 8 hunters surrender their weapons to them.
The 5 young hunters let out a sigh of relief and finally relaxed as they realized that this group of people was serious about meeting their Chieftain. They pick the weapons on the ground 1 by 1, their faces looked satisfied when the 5 thought that they would become the hero of their tribe.
Dara was a little guilty when she saw the satisfied faces of the young hunters. Armani explained to them everything while they were on their way here. Thus, she knew why these young hunters decided to bring them to their tribe and why they were so satisfied.
She felt that they were taking advantage of these young hunters’ naivety, so they could achieve their goal, but this thought didn’t last long. She instantly hardened her will, they needed to do this if they want to quickly find Stone Tribe because every second mattered. The faster they finish their goal the better.
After a while, the young hunters were finally done collecting the weapons. The 5 shifted their attention to Vir’s group who were waiting for them to finish.
“Let us go,” Bur said with a satisfied face. “We are going to our tribe, remember to not do anything suspicious.”
The young hunters walked forward while holding a bunch of weapons. Vir, Armani, Dara, and the other hunters followed the young hunters silently. After a long time, they finally saw a large opening signifying that there was a Guardian Tree nearby.
The 5 young hunters excitedly ran when they saw they were closed to their tribe. However, when they walked out from the sea of trees, what welcome them were a group of hunters pointing their weapon at them.
In front of these hunters was a middle-aged man with red hair and a scar on his forehead. He was holding a much larger stone hammer than the other hunters and looked like the leader of this group.
“Father! I am back!” Bur said while happily running to the man with a big hammer. “we brought some guests, they said that they can help us.”
“YOU FOOL! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING BRINGING AN OUTSIDER TO OUR TRIBE!” the red-haired man shouted in anger. “YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT THE BLOOD TRIBE IS DESTROYING EVERY TRIBE THEY SAW!”
The 5 young hunters stopped, scared of the red-haired man.
“Father, you do not have to worry, we make sure that they are not from the Blood Tribe,” Bur explained. He raised the weapon he was holding to show it to his father. “Look, we even make them surrender their weapon to make sure they did not do anything.”
The other 4 copied Bur and nodded their head in agreement with what he said.
“FOOLISH! DO YOU THINK THEY NEEDED THEIR WEAPONS?!” The red-haired man raised his voice even louder. He became even more, angrier when he heard about the foolishness of the 5 young hunters. “WHAT IF THEIR MISSION IS JUST TO FIND OUR TRIBE AND THEN RETREAT TO INFORM THEIR CHIEFTAIN?!”
The faces of the 5 young hunters went pale when they realized this, their eyes immediately reddened thinking they made a big mistake. Instead of becoming the hero of their tribe, they will become the biggest sinner in the history of their tribe.
Vir’s group already heard the conversation between the father and son. They knew that a group of hunters was already surrounding them, but they didn’t care. They calmly came out of the forest while their hands were raised, showing the group of hunters that they didn’t have any weapons.

The Blood Queen
The rain fell from the sky with ferocity and smashed into the pavement filling the air with the sound of a stampede. The noise was deafening as I struggled to stand up. The blood from my wound was covering the ground beneath me and I covered it with my hand as I pushed off the pavement. On my feet now I struggled to step towards the grass. Through the howling wind and pounding raindrops I could hear what sounded like a chant, calling me and drawing me towards the cliffs edge. "Vienna, my Queen, my blood Queen" I started to move my feet faster until I could run towards the edge. Only when I was at the edge did I turn and look back one last time at the castle behind me. I could see him standing on the balcony, he was screaming my name. I could just hear it over the rain. I unclipped my red cape and whispered goodbye to him. As he jumped off the balcony to run towards me I leaned backwards and let my body fall with the rushing water to the river far down below. I carried her whispers with me to the dark edge until they vanished.
