Wilton travels back to his burrow. Along the way he encounters a fallen log covered in brown mushrooms. He collects three of them. Back at his burrow he manages to start a fire and cook up the four fish. He eats one and then continues on his day.

He thinks about what he could do with the lake, and eventually comes up with something of an idea. He ties together some plant twine, grabs some sticks, and heads over to his crafting stump. With a quick prayer to the creator he begins forming a box. Tying the twine together, fashioning joints with the sticks, and creating a complicated web of sorts.

Finally he sets down his finished work. A strainer. Wilton goes and sets the strainer down at the lake. Hopefully it will catch something useful in it. On his way back he collects clay from the river bank.

The halfling uses his shovel to dig a quarry up some hundred feet from his burrow. He hits a layer of stone and begins to pick at it with his mattock. Chipping off a large plate of it, he heaves it upwards into his arm, and imagines it disappearing. Even this large bit of stone disappears into the extra dimensional space that Wilton uses as an inventory.

Wilton then uses the clay, sticks, and the stone plate as a base to start building a kiln. With it created he moves it into his inventory and then pops it out again outside his burrow. He digs out a small space underneath it, fills it with wood and dead grass, and lights it on fire with two sticks.

The halfling is impressed at his resourcefulness. Hopefully the kiln will bake and be usable to create more clay objects.

Wilton perked up at the sound of grass rustling. Something was nearby. He quickly looked around and spotted a creature in the tall grass. It had thick leathery skin, tusks, and oinked. It was a boar!

The halfling let his spear pop into his hand and he charged with a mighty roar. He threw the spear at the boar, nailing it in the side. The hog squealed and ran through the tall grass. Wilton could still see the spear poking out above the grass as the creature ran.

He let his knife pop into his hand as he gave chase. The creature swerved around trees, its hooves churning in the dirt, as it ran into the woods. Wilton looped around, watching its path, got ahead of it, and pounced onto its back.

Wilton grabbed the spear with one hand, and with the other he drove his knife into the boar repeatedly. It eventually skidded across the ground as it lost motor control. The creature let out a raspy huff before it ceased to be.
