“Keep going huh, nothing wrong with that I suppose, as long as I’m with you and Vnaa and Rival Miko, I’ll be happy” Did she see those two as her family? She hasn’t been alive long if you think about it, a couple of days, maybe just over a week.

“I’m going to get going” I stood up, I was finished talking to Umi about, anything really

“Go back to the inn and check on Vnaa and Miko” I didn’t want her around me

“Nonsense, they’ll be fine, in fact, there they are now” Umi waved her hands to Miko and Vnaa, they were walking back to the inn from the hot springs

“Papa Udon, I’m sorry!” Vnaa shouted out, her face was flushed red, Umi did say she felt embarrassed from how she was acting, Miko’s face also was flushed red

“Ow” Vnaa tried to run over to me and fell down, it looked like she scrapped her knee

“Vnaa, make sure you’re watching where you’re going” Miko ran over to Vnaa and helped her up, she cleaned the wound with water form her water pouch and ruffled Vnaa’s hair,

“Maybe I am being too harsh, is it because of that stupid Hero Adjustment crap” She reminded me of myself when I used to take care of my little sister, she did take care of Vnaa like a big sister, she can’t be all bad.

“Vnaa, are you ok?” Umi ran over to Vnaa, she also treated Vnaa like a little sister

“Huh?” I turned into the sky where the screech came from to see a huge shadow hovering over me

“Sir Udon, get out of there!” Umi shouted, the shadow started to get closer faster and faster

“Papa Udon!” I heard Vnaa shout out to me then I felt myself being pushed

“Miko!” I shouted out standing back up and reaching for her, did she just save me? Miko put her own life at risk to save me, she sacrificed her self for me, that’s the first time someone has put me first… I should have believed her back in Jot’s shop when she said she wanted to make life easier for me! I even thought ‘I really want to believe her, just having someone, an ally that I can trust would change everything, it would lighten the weight I carried.’

“It’s ok Master Udon” Miko smiled at me, the dragon flew to the other side of town and out of sight

“Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!” I fell to my knees and punched the brick path, why Miko! Why would you do that!

“Don’t worry, we’ll get her back, we’ll get her back and make sure that overgrown squid gets what’s coming to him” I stood up, a sinister determined look came over me, Miko had just put her own life in danger to save me, I don’t trust her but I can’t let that slide, I’ll bring karma to any of those that hurt my team!
