The Ice Chimera charged at the fallen Tusked Yeti and landed a hard bite, the bite ripped a chunk of flesh from the Tusked Yeti’s body.

“Grrrrrr!” The Tusked Yeti let out a painful roar and kicked the Ice Chimera off him, the two monsters regained their feet and stared each other down. The Tusked Yeti was the first to move and charged towards the Ice Chimera

“Arrrr” The Ice Chimera charged at the on coming Tusked Yeti, they smashed into each other with a loud thump, the ice was shaking from the mountain, an avalanche could happen any second now. The Tusked Yeti managed to get a grip of the Ice Chimera’s underbelly and flipped it over it's head landing the Ice Chimera on its back. The Tusked Yeti continued the assault taking a bite from the under belly ripping a piece of the Ice Chimeras flesh off, the Tusked Yeti followed it up by piercing the back inner thigh with its tusks.

“ARRRR!” The Ice Chimera let out a roar of pain, the snow was covered in crimson blood, it looked like a battlefield more than a mountain now.

“Papa Udon!” I turned to see Vnaa’s hands planted against my shadow barrier, she was looking at me with the most fear I’ve seen in anyones eyes, she was still just a kid, she shouldn’t have to witness a battle like this.

“Stay there” I manage to say putting a hand up to indicate to stay, she just shook her head and started punching the barrier.

“Please Vnaa” I could feel a tear roll down my face, why am I so weak! I couldn’t save my sister! I can’t save Vnaa! She can’t die! She can’t! She’s the only joy I have!

*Bang

The Tusked Yeti landed hard next to me, the snow from the ground bounced up into the air and came down covering half my body, the bad thing was, I couldn’t feel the cold, I couldn’t feel the impact of the falling snow, I had lost all feeling in my body.

“Arrrr” The Ice Chimera charged towards the Tusked Yeti with its teeth ready to bite down, but just before it could, the Tusked Yeti caught its mouth with its hand. The Two monsters were pushing against each other, the Tusked Yeti was trying to rip apart the Ice Chimera’s jaw.

“Sssss” The snake tail of the Ice Chimera slithered in the air and bit the Tusked Yeti’s arm forcing it to let go, the Tusked Yeti stumbled back, it might have been poisoned by that bite.

The Ice Chimera swipe the Tusked Yeti and one of its paws caught the Tusked Yeti’s left tusk, the tusk flew off and bounced off the shadow barrier protecting the girls and almost landed on me.

“Papa Udon!” Vnaa was still banging on the barrier, Umi was still unconscious, Miko was starting to move though and sat up. She looked around puzzled at the barrier, she turned to Vnaa banging on the barrier and then caught focus of me.

“Master Udon!” Miko shouted out joining in with Miko punching the barrier. Damn this bee goes to the extreme to act…or, am I that damaged and broken that I can’t even think straight, Sylf betrayed me, there’s no doubt about that, but, how did she find out where we were, did Kori follow Vnaa and Miko, or did Miko tell her where I was?

“Damn it!” I punched the snow with my fist but I still couldn’t feel anything, I was starting to lose consciousness, blood was still pouring out of me, it might have been blocked up by the snow, but I could still feel myself losing it.

“Grrrr” The Tusked Yeti landed a hard punch into the Ice Chimeras face sending it stumbling back, it then jumped into the air and landed another punch to the top of the Ice Chimera’s head. The Ice Chimera fell to its knees but leaped forward head butting the Tusked Yeti back.

“Arrr” The Ice Chimera launched into the air at the Tusked Yeti but right before it landed its swipe, its underbelly was punctured by the right tusk. The Tusked Yeti threw the Ice Chimera off of its tusk and into the ground, it walked over to the fallen monster and stomped its foot down onto its head.

“Arrrr!” The Ice Chimera tried to roar at the Tusked Yeti, but got another stomp to the head, this was it, the Tusked Yeti was about to kill the Ancient Floor Monster, it’ll kill me right after no doubt, then it’ll go after the girls. Damn it! There has to be an opening somewhere, do I have any mana left?

I coughed up more blood trying to pull myself out of the snow, I still had my short bronze sword in its sheath, I might be able to combine it with a spell. I pulled my short bronze sword out and held it as tightly as I could in my hands, it was still a loose grip, it took everything I had not to drop it.

“Don’t Master Udon! You don’t have enough mana!” Miko shouted out, tears streaming down her face, did she know what I was trying to do?

“Please don’t Papa!” Vnaa shouted out, her punches had grown weak, she was basically just tapping the barrier now, I could see the blood on her knuckles. Damn it! I’m sorry Vnaa

“Hear my words dungeon, I ask to be surrounded, filled and illuminated with the dungeons flowing energy, hear my plea ‘The Power of the Shadows’ Shadow Ball!”

My sword was caught up in the spell and launched quickly at the Tusked Yeti with the Shadow ball, it let out a high pitched whistle flying through the air and plugged deep into the Tusked Yeti’s throat

“Grrrr” The Tusked Yeti fell onto its back with blood spitting out of its mouth, it tried to pull the small sword out of it throat, it wasn’t able to grab it and suffocated on its own blood.

“Good timing, a cheat way to gain levels though” I was starting to feel pins and needles all over my body again, I was slowly regaining my mana and was able to stand up now, the ice that fell on me had blocked the wound from the Ice Dagger.

“Damn it” I stood up and fell back down to my knees, I had lost a lot of blood, my skin was either burnt black or as white as the snow, I should be dead already, was my mana keeping me alive, it must be using it to try and help my body recover the blood that I lost.

“Arrr” I turned to see the collapsed Ice Chimera, if I kill or rather finish this monster off I should gain at least another two levels, I might be able to walk then. I crawled over to the defeated Tusked Yeti and pulled my short bronze sword out of its throat, I crawled back to the Ice Chimera and used the sword to help me stand up. I pressed the tip of my sword against it’s throat, I could see the fear in its eyes, damn it! Don’t get weak Udon!

“Kill it! Kill it! Kill it!”

That damn dark voice was back, I stared into the ice blue eyes of the Ice Chimera, they were filled with fear.

“Arrrr!” I raised my sword up and slammed it into the snow next the monsters head, I couldn’t do it! I can’t kill something that protected me, even if it didn’t mean to! I wasn’t going to take a life that saved me! I wasn’t going to become like my ex boss, I wasn’t going to become human.

“Don’t get the wrong idea, I only did this because you saved my life, nothing else” I fell back to my knees, the pain was starting to come back, damn it! I fell face first into the blood stained mane of the Ice Chimera, by this time my shadow imprisonment had already passed its time duration and Vnaa and Miko were running towards me, I could see Umi sitting up trying to regain focus.

“I can help you, but I need some of that potion in that bag over there”

Ice Chimera Bestowed Gift Granted-Ice Talk

“Huh” I tried to look around at who said that, I couldn’t move properly still, the pain was becoming more intense, I might pass out just because of how painful this is.

“Don’t be scared, I’m the Ice Chimera, the Ancient Floor Monster of the Third Floor. Thank you for saving my life, I am in your debt young boy”

“Is that really the monster talking to me?” I spoke out loud, what is going on? Am I hallucinating? I’m hearing things, surly

“Yes, now listen, I need that medicine over there in that bag” What medicine do I have in my bag? Its just common medicinal herbs and leaves, the hemp bandages weren’t going to be any help, I could maybe give it some Feverfew Leaf Ointment to clean the bite up, but other then that, I can’t help.

“Master Udon!”

“Papa Udon!” Miko and Vnaa ran over to me, Vnaa was still crying, I could see the tears flying off her face and she ran through the snow

“Why! Why do you keep doing these things!” Miko fell onto my back and started sobbing, did she think I liked doing this! I hate this! This pain, its unbearable!

“Papa Udon, please” Vnaa grabbed my hands, I knew this feeling, I knew what she was going through, clinging onto a hand of someone you hold dear, watching them die, and all you want, all you hope is that they make it out alive, it’s one of the worst feelings imaginable.

“I’m fine, I just need some rest, can someone get me the bag” I did feel better, I just couldn’t really move.

“Here it is Sir Udon” Umi walked over carrying the bag, she looked disappointed, more embarrassed and ashamed.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry I couldn’t be of any use!” Umi tossed the bag in front of me and looked away, I could see the tears of shame on her face, she did what I said, it was my fault that this happened…no, it was that damn Ice Dagger Hero’s fault! I’ll kill her! I’ll get my justice! She’ll face Karma!

“I have only 5 MP left, that level up stopped me from going in the red, if I make the Feverfew Leaf Ointment it’ll at least sooth the pain a little” I pushed up on the Ice Chimera and created the Feverfew Leaf Ointment.

“Miko, please rub this in the wounds of the Ice Chimera, Miko?”

“I can do it” Umi grabbed the Ointment off of me and started rubbing it into the wounds of the monster, Miko had walked off to check out the Tusked Yeti Corpse

“Master Udon, this monster is from the Adventures Guild, it has Neptune’s crest engraved in its mouth” It was Neptune who sent this monster, damn it! That piece of shit ‘god’

“Damn it!” I punched the ground with my fist, the snow cushioned the impact but it still hurt a little.

“Sir Udon, I don’t believe the Ice Chimera has much longer to live”

“Please boy, let me die in my cave”

“Girls, do you have enough strength to move the Ice Chimera into that cave over there” The girls all nodded their heads and dragged the Ice Chimera into the cave, I managed to crawl behind them, tsk, I look so pathetic and weak.

“You must go deeper, if you wish to survive, take your companions and go deeper into the cave”

“Huh? What about you?” I spoke to the Ice Chimera, I looked at the girls to see if they could understand the monster, they all seemed to follow along, it must be because they are part monsters themselves.

“Master Udon, Umi and I will help you”

“Rival Miko is right, lets go” Miko and Umi lifted me up and put my arms around their shoulders, they were walking me deeper into the cave, I turned around the see Vnaa still holding onto me, she held my shirt, her eyes still watering, I can’t break her, I need to survive this. I took one last glance at the Ice Chimera, it was starting to breath heavily, it’ll die soon.

“What’s that on the wall” We walked deeper into the cave, the cave itself was lit up with light blue crystals, they looked as hard as rocks though.

“Thats the Ice Imbued Escedian, do you know how far we need to go Umi?”

“No, I don’t, I don’t even know what we are looking for” Umi and Miko looked around frantically for a sign that would help me survive my wounds, we turned the corner of the cave and a bright light flashed before us. It disappeared, Vnaa ran in front of everyone and went on guard, she held Umi’s Sea Trident up, could she sense something?

“Udon, it is about time we met”

A dark smoky voice echoed through the cave, then he appeared, a man in a suit with a skull head with four flat horns, I knew the very moment that he was the one that summoned me.
