“Mmmm, I hate those pointless announcements” I woke up to the loud voice coming from my Gem, I rubbed my eyes and felt a warm weight on my stomach.

“Huh? Oh, it’s just you Vnaa” Vnaa was snuggled up in a ball on my stomach, I gave her a pat and accidentally woke her up.

“Gahh” Vnaa let out a purr and smiled at me

“You’re so cute Vnaa, whose a good little girl” I’m glad no one was around, I did have a weak spot when it comes to pets, I would often bring home stray animals when I was younger, I’d feed and look after them until they were all healthy and ready to go back out.

“Wheres Miko?” I looked over at the bed Miko was sleeping in, it was already made.

“Lets go check where she went off to Vnaa” I got out of bed, put my new shirt and pants on, I didn’t need the padding or knee caps unless I was leaving, I carried Vnaa in my arms and headed to the front of the shop, I saw Jot and Miko in the kitchen just before the front of Jot’s shop.

“Master Udon, you’re awake, I’ve made breakfast look” Miko came out with three plates pilled with eggs, mashed potato and small sausages,

“How did you make this? I’ve heard Unicorn Rabbit Stew was just a basic dish anyone can make, but beyond that you need a type of chief skill right?” The meal did look tasty, I don’t know what animal the sausages were or if the eggs were chicken eggs, but it smelt and looked amazing.

“While you were working on your armour yesterday I unlocked Basic Animal Chief and read your chief trade book, I levelled my mastery up to 7 and then Jot let me use anything he had, so I cooked breakfast for you, I hope you like it, its better then that Unicorn Rabbit Stew we had in the cave the first time we met, that was 200 years old, I just thawed it out”

“Oh, uhh, thank you, you didn’t have to do that” Was it poisoned? Miko hadn’t talked about learning to cook before, why had she cooked out of the blue? It seems a little odd…Over 200 years old!? I didn’t get sick but, damn it Miko!

“Please eat up before it gets cold” Miko sat down and put one of the sausages in her mouth, Vnaa didn’t hesitate either, she munched up all the eggs in a flash, I had flinched to grab Vnaa but it was already too late.

“Everything ok Master Udon?”

“Y-yeah, I’m not that hungry thats all”

“Hmm, how many times do I have to say it, I am not going to hurt you” Miko leant over the table and took a bite of a sausage, the mashed potato and an egg on my plate.

“See, not poisoned, now eat up” She looked a little angry, it’s not my fault, when Ancient Floor Guardian decides to team up with a random player out of the blue, you can’t help but be suspicious of them.

“Fine, where’s Jot?” I started eating my breakfast, it did taste good

“He said he wanted to brag to the other shop owners about his new skills, so his ran off in the town, he also asked me if I knew why you didn’t trust anyone.” He better not mention I gave him those upgraded skills, the last thing I want is a line in front of me to upgrade them. Why does everyone want to pry into my life!

“My MP has hit 55/60, I think I’m going to create another familiar today” I should hunt the monsters down first to start with, other then that I had the main material I wanted to use, the Ancient Siren Crystal Core

“I’ll come with you, we need to get some more materials right?” Miko and Vnaa had already finished their breakfast, Vnaa was looking at me with puppy dog eyes, she was still hungry?

“Here you go Vnaa” I pushed my plate over to her, it had a little bit on it.

“I don’t know about Vnaa eating so much Master Udon” Miko looked at Vnaa a little concerned, she picked the plates up and starting washing them in Jot’s sink.

“Don’t worry, Vnaa is going to grow up big and strong, aren’t you baby girl” I patted Vnaa and scratched her head.

“Gahh” Vnaa purred and smiled

“I’m glad you’ve found someone to trust Master Udon, although, you can trust me too” Miko puffed her cheeks as she finished that sentence

“I’m going to put my armour on and then head out, you finished with the dishes?”

“Yep, we should only need one bag for the trip correct?” Miko and I walked back to the spare room, Vnaa stayed on the table trying to find any crumbs.

“Hmm, I would say bring them because I don’t trust Jot, but, he owes me one so we’ll just take the small hemp bag with the materials I want, I don’t want another mix up in materials this time” I glared down at Miko who just looked up at the ceiling and scratched her cheek.

“Vnaa did turn out pretty awesome though, and she has a little of both of us in her”

“Yeah, that is correct, Vnaa is pretty awesome, and she does have a little of….Is that why you put a lock of your hair in there!” What sick twisted shit was that!?

“No, of course not! I’m not like that Master Udon! I put a lock of hair because I wanted to give her my blessing but it didn’t work” Miko yelled back at me defensively, I still don’t trust this bee

“Gahh” Vnaa called out, she was probably wanting us to hurry up or stop yelling, she often called out when she heard us yelling.

“I’ve got all the materials you want, the Ancient Siren Crystal Core and the Ancient Siren Fin” Good, thats all I want, the rest of the materials will gather ourselves.

“We should chuck some of the Dungeon Ore in there as well, you were lucky it worked, also put the Yellow Striped Horned-Back Wolf Fur in there, I might change my mind and want a fluffy familiar again”

“Sure, I’ll put 3 Dungeon Ore and the Yellow Striped Horned-Back Wolf Fur in the bag as well” We picked up Vnaa and headed out the shop, Jot had left Miko a spare key to lock up if we ever left.

“Miko now!”

“Hear my words dungeon, I ask to be surrounded, filled and illuminated with the dungeons flowing energy, hear my plea ‘The Power of Wind’ Whirl Wind”

Miko cast her Whirl Wind spell and caused the three Sea Monkeys to fly in the air.

“Perfect, take this!” I slashed the falling Sea Monkeys with my sword and killed all three.

“We haven’t earned SP recently when we’ve killed a monster?” Miko and I started skinning the Sea Monkeys

“They are randomly acquired Master Udon, some players have gone floors without earning any SP from defeating monsters where others have had a completely opposite experience earning SP for every monster they’ve defeated.” Damn it, it was an easy way to earn SP, I’ve only got 25, I need more.

“We have 3 Sea Monkey Tails, 6 Sea Monkey Ear Flippers and 6 Sea Monkey Fangs, how do we get the Piranha Materials Master Udon?”

“Hmm, the Piranhas are in the middle of the ‘beach,’ it’ll be hard” We had made our way to the back of the ‘beach’ near the forest, I didn’t want to run into anyone while I was hunting, and I didn’t need people seeing me create a familiar either.

“We could use our fishing skills, but we don’t have a rod, damn it”

“If you stood in the water and used Fish Scent, it might work” Miko regularly checked the Parties Stats, she knew more about my skills than I did.

“Is that seriously your plan? After all this time, thats your plan?” I wasn’t going to be fish food!

“Plan?” Miko tilted her head, Sure play dumb.

“Fine, if it will get the Piranhas to us then I’ll do it” I walked into the water and stopped when I had reached the depth of my knees.

“Fish Scent” The water around me turned into a mossy green, you could see the water in the distance becoming rough, the Piranhas were swimming in fast, some were even jumping out the water, they had sharp teeth and big eyes.

“Miko, Vnaa, prepare a spell, Vnaa you use Grass Spore as they get closer while Miko, you use wind cutter on them once they are paralysis”

“Gahh!”

“On it”

The Piranhas were within attacking range in an instance, Vnaa stood right on the waters edge and unleashed her spell first.

“Hear my words dungeon, I ask to be surrounded, filled and illuminated with the dungeons flowing energy, hear my plea ‘The Power of Earth’ Grass Spore”

It still was weird that words actually came out of Vnaa’s mouth. A bunch of little white grass spores appeared out of Vnaa’s body and raced towards the Piranhas, once they hit their target they exploded and covered the Piranhas in a yellow substance.

“Miko now!”

“Hear my words dungeon, I ask to be surrounded, filled and illuminated with the dungeons flowing energy, hear my plea ‘The Power of Wind’ Wind Cutter”

Miko unleashed a series of high pressure wind towards the Piranhas slicing them up instantly

“What is that?” A bird like monster was flying above the dead Piranhas, wait, was that a lizard?

“It’s a Baby Water Dragon, be careful Master Udon, they can be dangerous”

“A Baby Water Dragon, I wanted to use its materials” The Baby Water Dragon was diving down and picking up the Piranhas one by one and eating them whole

“You little shit! Miko grab the remaining three Piranhas, I’m going kill the Baby Water Dragon!” I ran forward and lunged at the Dragon, it saw me thrusting my sword towards it and managed to dodge, but, not fast enough

“Got ya” I sliced its wings and it fell into the water

“GARRR” The Baby Water Dragon let out a high pressure water attack, it landed straight in my chest and sent me flying across the water

“Master Udon!”

“Gahh!” Miko and Vnaa looked on surprised, I didn’t think a small monster would carry that much punch

“Gahh!” Vnaa sped through the water and landed a hard thump into the Baby Water Dragons side

“GARRR” The Baby Water Dragon let out a scream of pain, Miko grabbed Vnaa along with the 3 Piranhas and made her way back to the beach

“Master Udon can you stand”

“Yep, I’m fine” I was still I’m shallow water, I stood back up and picked my sword up from under the water

“Miko, I’m going to charge at it, you use wind cutter again to finish it”

“On it” Miko ran into the water a little to get a closer attack in

“Arrrr!” I charged towards the Baby Water Dragon, my sword high above my head.

“GARRR!” The Baby Water Dragon stopped flailing in the water and launched another high pressure water attack, but it was aimed for Miko.

“Miko!” I shouted out, just in the heat of the moment I’m sure, I wasn’t worried or anything, if she did end up dying I was about to create another familiar anyway. I kept running at the Baby Water Dragon and managed to impale my sword into its back.

“Done, I’ll just bring this back over to the beach” I picked up the dead Baby Water Dragon and walked towards Miko, I needed to check if she was fine.

“Miko, you ok?” I held my hand out to her, she was sitting in the shallows.

“Are you worried about me Master Udon? I’m fine, I jumped out the way just in time” Miko smiled at me and grabbed my hand, I helped her back to her feet.

“Good, I need your help creating this familiar, I can’t have you dying on me”

“You're so mean Master Udon” Here we go again, another pointless argument

“Do you mind skinning the Piranhas while I skin the Baby Water Dragon?”

“Sure” Miko headed over to where she dropped the Piranhas and got to work. We ended up with 12 Piranhas fangs, 3 Piranhas fins, 10 Baby Water Dragon Scales and 1 Baby Water Dragon Skin. The Baby Water Dragon didn’t have fangs and its claws were too small to use.

“Miko, listen carefully to me this time, I want 3 Dungeon Ore, the Ancient Siren Crystal Core and the Ancient Siren Fin” I didn’t need her screwing this one up as well.

“Im not a child Master Udon, I didn’t hear you last time thats all” Miko placed those materials in the Magic Circle I created with my blood, she scrunched her nose at me as she walked past, what’s her problem?

“We should use 4 Piranha fangs, 1 Piranhas Fin, 5 of the Baby Water Dragon Scales, the Baby Water Dragon Skin, 5 of the Ancient Siren Scales, 2 Sea Monkey Ear Flippers and 2 of the Sea Monkey Fangs, that should about do it” I had no idea what I was doing, I just used the materials I thought would make it strong.

“Everything is ready and in the magic circle, we just wait now” Miko placed the rest of the materials in the magic circle, it wasn’t long before it started to glow and a light blue light flashed, blinding the three of us.

“I should have covered my eyes this time” I rubbed my eyes to regain focus, Miko and Vnaa had shielded their eyes though…

“Master Udon, we might have a problem” Huh? Did Miko say problem? Did it not work?

“Whats wrong…” Sitting where the magic circle used to be was a blue creature, it had a blue transparent fin on its back running all the way from its neck to its tail, small little arms, they looked like T-Rex arms, a dolphins tail, fins extended onto its ears and one on its head, its eyes were quite big but, I did see the problem Miko was referring to, it had no legs.

“Oh well, I’m not carrying it all the time, just let it loose in the ‘beach’” I already had to carry Vnaa a lot, adding another was too much.

“Garggggg!” The small blue creature screamed out to me when I turned my back

“Huh?”

“Gahh” Vnaa had crawled over to it and looked like they were talking

“You know what they are saying Miko?”

“Vnaa is telling the blue familiar that you don’t want to carry her so she can’t come along” Another girl familiar? The Siren was a girl to start with.

“Vnaa, Miko lets get going, I want to rest”

“Are you sure you want to just leave her here Master Udon? It seems a little mean”

“Gahh” Vnaa crawled over to me and pulled my leg, what does she want

“Huh!?” The blue creature was surrounded by a bright white light, what was happening now

*Poof

“What the hell!” The bright light faded and a lady stood where the blue creature used to be!

“Who the hell! What the hell just happened!” I looked at the lady, she looked the same age as me, she had light blue hair, fins over her human like ears, fins on the back of her wrists and ankles and a fin running from the top of her spine to her tailbone, her feet and hands were also webbed.

“Master Udon, I think she transformed into a human the same way I did, because she is your familiar she has that ability” Wait? Does that mean Vnaa can transform?

“Vnaa?” I turned to Vnaa, she just tilted her head and smiled at me, oh thank god.

“How can you be so mean Master, to just leave me here, how cruel” It spoke!

“I don’t know who you are, please leave me alone” I turned and walked off quickly

“Master!” The lady ran and jumped on me

“Get off me! You’re all wet and not to mention… naked!”

“But Master, I have memories of you saving me from those evil men” Huh? Was she the actual Siren lady!?

“Master Udon!” Miko’s face was beet red, she looked angry.

“Are you the Siren monster?”

“Siren Monster? I don’t know what that is, all I know is I have strong feelings about you”

“No touching Master Udon!” Miko pulled the naked lady off me and put her arms out to guard me

“Oh, are you Master’s mate?”

“Huh!? What!? N-no, I-I’m not Master U-Udons mate” What were they talking about?

“Oh, in that case, Master can be my mate”

“What!?” Miko grabbed the naked woman and they pushed each other back. What am I even watching right now!

“Everyone stop! Look, I don’t know who you are or what you are but I’m leaving now” I picked up the bag and started to walk off

“But Master, you created me, look” Another shining white light appeared, the naked woman then transformed into that little blue creature I created.

“I know you are, but what is the point of having another human or whatever you are on my team”

*Poof

“Because, you need me to move up the next floor right?” She turned back into her human form and smiled at me

“…Put this on” I threw the Yellow Striped Horned-Back Wolf Fur to the naked lady

“Master Udon, are we really taking her!?” Miko turned to me like a little kid throwing a tantrum, what was her deal.

“We need her Miko, now lets go, I need to get her clothes if she’s going to stay in her human form”

“Master I need a name, I would like to know your name as well” I had to name this thing as well, I’m not good with names though.

“Umm, Umi, your name is Umi, my name is Udon” Umi didn’t sound weird right?

“Master Udon, his name is Master Udon” Miko interrupted.

“Master Udon? I’m going to call you Sir Udon, its higher then Master” Umi gave Miko a quick smirk, what was that? Do Bees not get along with what ever Umi was, what was Umi anyway?

“That would be because of the Sirens Crystal Core Master Udon” Hmm, I guess that added up.

“Miko, what attribute does Umi have?” Hypnotic Singing obviously meant a song that would lure its prey into them.

“I don’t trust Umi yet, I can’t have her alone in Jot’s shop” I didn’t fully trust Miko either, but I know she wouldn’t do anything to harm anyone else.

“Looks like you have some competition Miko, Sir Udon, wait up” Umi whispered something into Miko’s ear, it caused her to clench her fists, must have been bad.
