《The Awakened One, Book 1: Remnant》Chapter 44: Forever Fall Forest

After (Y/N) had entered the room, the girls were already beginning to wake and once they finished wiping away the sleep from their eyes, they ran up to him, showering him with love and affection as per usual. They quickly completed their morning rituals and headed to the cafeteria to eat as one large group, and during this meal Willow called (Y/N) to update him on her current situation. Firstly, she told him that everything had gone smoothly with Jacques although she did include that she could see the look of disappointment in his eyes when he saw that her and winter were still alive. The next thing she spoke about was the detailed information on the Dust shipment that would be heading through the Forever Fall Forest, telling him the departure time and location, the arrival time and location, pick up and drop offs, security measures, specific carrying amounts of each time of Dust, and everything in between. The information was extremely helpful for him to get a broader understanding of what he needed to do and what time he needed to do it, for starters the day that the entire thing would be going down on was tomorrow, Thursday the 16th of Sun (July), and he also decided that he needed to be at the trains departure, which would take place extremely early in the morning.

After taking the time to say a quick hello to everyone, Willow said her goodbyes and noted that she would be seeing them all soon enough, and soon after that everyone excitedly spoke about the upcoming tournament speaking a lot about their growing confidence in winning the entire thing, despite the fact that their sisters in love were competing. Scarlet simply enjoyed finally being a part of the whole and she wasn’t shy at all to show it, quickly becoming one of the more physically affectionate lovers and showing that affection towards everyone. They quickly finished eating and spent a lot of time talking with one another about the weeks upcoming events before they eventually made their way to Glynda’s room where they spent the vast majority of their time that day. Sometime after they arrived, Byakko and Lilith made a sudden appearance as they appeared in a flash of blue lightning that dispersed into the surrounding air. (Y/N) asked the duo what has happened between them, but they both remained tight lipped, however throughout the day he did notice that they seemed to have grown much closer.

As Weiss needed to complete a few things related to her registry, Glynda took her, Neo, Scarlet, and her loves clone on a trip across the campus, giving her a small tour of the Hope Building, telling her about all the central sights, and explaining the need-to-know buildings. As a final stop, she needed to bring her up to Ozpin’s office for final registry and to keep up appearances since she was such a high-profile student, and of course (Y/N) opted out of following them up to the watch tower. However, he did give Glynda a message to give to the Headmaster from him and it was simply ‘I look forward to having a discussion with you Ozma’. Glynda didn’t understand the purpose of calling Ozpin Ozma, or provoking him with a message like this, but she was just the messenger, and she figured her intelligent lover would be thinking far ahead of herself with this message in particular.

Scarlet and Neo were just guests on the campus, so they left Glynda and Weiss with their lover to head back to the room or enjoy the rest of the sights to see on the campus, and that is what they did for the rest of the day. As day turned to night, all the lovers met back up in (Y/N)’s temp room to wind down and fool around for a moment until they fell asleep draped over (Y/N)’s comforting body. Once he decided it was time to leave, Scarlet and Neo opted to go with him and his animal companions, so he left his clone in his spot, and they silently left Beacon for Vale the much safer way, going through the Hope Buildings exits. As they reached the streets of the night’s city, Scarlet wanted to touch base with the rest of the Clan, ensuring that she keep morale boosted by showing her face to the men and Neo wanted to go with her, so they gave each other departing kisses before splitting up for the rest of the night.

After they separated, Lilith, Byakko, and their Master immediately headed to the city’s large, empty Square, making a quick landing directly in front of the Dungeons entrance.

The Final Boss Of Vale

Recommended Level: 30

Are you sure you want to enter?

Y/N

“Really? Only level 30? Damn this is really gonna be a waste of a night” he thought as he stood silently in front of the much larger Dungeon entrance. He then tuned to his partners and said, “this thing is going to be pretty weak so we may not have much to do here in Vale, but I think I have idea for something we can do after this.” Lilith nodded her head in agreement at her Masters suggestion, and Byakko quickly agreed as well. Once they came to that consensus, (Y/N) said yes to the Systems prompt and entered into the Dungeon with Lilith and Byakko at his sides.

Like the rest of the Boss rooms, it took place in a destroyed version of the city’s square and soaring high about the shattered buildings and shifted concrete was Vale’s boss, the strongest Dungeon mob in the city. With each flap of its wings a tremendous amount of wind shook the ground, displacing small rocks, uprooting shrubbery, and sending out sharp gusts of wind that cut down anything to weak to withstand it. Once the massive beast noticed their entrance, it immediately dived down to the ground, landing with an extremely rough crash that shook the earth beneath their feet, and once it dug its claws deep into the concrete bellow, it erupted its teeth filled mouth wide open and let out a bellowing, deafening roar. The Grimm was enormous, towering over the collapsed buildings that surrounded them and taking up almost half of the Square’s space with its full wingspan. Speaking of its wings were large and bat like, seemingly thin and fragile, but actually incredibly powerful and thick, however they could still lightly see through them. The Beasts black tail was extraordinarily long and had three long fingers with claws at the end of them, almost as if it was another hand like appendage, and it hand equally powerful claws on the ends of each of its two feet that it stood on. The Beasts skull was huge and its mouth was filled to the brim with a mass of sharpened, jagged teeth that jutted out from every angle. As it opened its jaws wide to roar, it revealed how long its jaws truly were, as its maw opened far passed its skull and into its neck region giving it an terrifying look.

“So, this what a Wyvern looks like in real life” (Y/N) said as the warm wind from the monsters Roar blew against his face.

The massive Grimm stomped around his territory, preparing to strike the group, and at the same time, black ooze dripped from its murky black body creating pools of an odd looking, tar black substance. As the tar pools grew larger, Grimm suddenly began climbing out of the pits, entering into the battlefield with ill intent for the trio that stood before them. Amidst the Grimm, Byakko simply turned to her Master and asked, “how do you wish to handle this scenario?”

(Y/N) turned back to her and said, “as long as Lilith is confident that she can handle this, then I’d just say let’s watch her do her thing. It seems like this is a very good situation for her to grow a little bit since there are a ton of little minions that she can munch up, and on top of that, the Wyvern would make a good summon to have later down the line. So, I nominate Lilith to do whatever she wishes with this clutch of enemies, and if she ever needs an assist then we’ll step in. Lilith, is all that alright with you?” Lilith turned to her Master and lightly nuzzled her head against his cheek and once she was finished, she nodded yes, so Byakko and (Y/N) backed up to give her some space to work. After they got completely out of her way, her Master spoke up and said, “I won’t kill anything so you can eat em up later on, I’ll just restrain anything that looks like it may attack you using Bind, so feel free to get as reckless as you want!”

Byakko then followed with, “I shall so the same, except I will utilize my mass paralysis techniques, so you may go all out. I am very excited to see you at work sister, please put on a good show for our Master.” In response to Byakko’s comment, Lilith’s body immediately glew in its Crimson hue of magical circuits, and the crescent moon in the center of her head shifted into its triangular counterpart. As the crimson circuits grew across her body, 6 large black serpents, made entirely with Mana, with glowing red eyes began forming around her, and at all once they shot from her form, speeding like bullets towards the horde of Grimm that were rising from the pools. The black snakes were all much larger than Lilith herself, each one being about double her own length and much more than twice as thick as her to. They all slithered through the air like flying snakes and opened their jaws wide as they approached the Grimm, and the instant they reached the horde a massacre began. Her snake summons ravaged the Grimm, swallowing the smaller ones whole, and completely absorbing anything that remained. Once they finished absorbing the tar pools, which happened almost instantly, they immediately turned their attention to the massive Wyvern, striking upwards and sinking their fangs into the large Grimm's body.

The Wyvern let out a tremendous screech in pain, and it began thrashing around, stomping the black summoned snakes from its body and rapidly flapping its wings in an attempt to take flight. From its intense thrashing and stomping, it managed to crush and stomp a few of the dark magic snakes to death, but the other three were still latched onto its body, sucking its HP and MP from its body like Vampires. As Lilith saw the beast try to take off, she glew a brighter crimson and her companions watched as a massive line of red magic circles appeared beside her, each of with replicating the one on her forehead. The crimson magic circles grew in size as they charged up with Lilith’s Mana and once, they reached full charge, they released all of it in the form of black, concentrated beams of Mana, that pierced through the air like lasers, each of which quickly made contact with the Wyvern’s flapping wings. As the Grimm began rising higher into the air, the beams of dark Mana burned through its wings the instant they met, creating a mass of holes in them that made the Wyvern’s wings look like Swiss cheese and turning them into holey flaps of skin that were useless for flying. The beast immediately lost all of its upward momentum, falling quickly through the sky, and crashing harshly into the ground, crushing the 3 snakes that remained, in a mass of black, tar like blood. When the Grimm splattered against the ground, its black flesh flew everywhere, creating masses of pools of the black substance from which masses of various Grimm rose from.

Lilith wasted no time acting, quickly summoning 6 more black snakes that began devouring all the Grimm that were unlucky enough to spawn in, and she also formed 6 more Mana made snakes that were a sickly dark purple color with glowing green eyes. The purple snakes were much smaller than her, about 8ft (2.7m) in length, and they were grounded, however they moved with incredible swiftness as they slithered through the commotion making their way towards their designated target. They slipped harmlessly through the mass of dead and dying Grimm, the violent thrashing of the black summons, and silently made it to the slowly recovering Wyvern. The instant the purple snakes reached the Wyvern they struck, sinking their fangs painlessly into its body and pumping him full of their powerful venom, shrinking further with each pump of the substance until they disappeared as if they were never there. The effect was instant, and they watched as the Wyvern began physically shrinking as its strength rapidly deteriorated, leaving it a crippled, weak mess that was ripe for the eating. Lilith quickly recognized this, and she instantly slithered raised from the ground as she speedily made it too the weakened Wyvern and as she glew a brighter crimson, she opened her jaws wide and began growing at a rapid pace, getting larger and larger until she was big enough to wrap her jaws around the Wyverns skull and almost instantly swallow it in its entirety.

Level Up!

(Y/N) and Byakko watched as Lilith in her enlarged form shifted from her pitch back coloring, back to her glowing pure white scales, with the crescent moon, cross symbol still evident on her forehead. However, that wasn’t the only thing that occupied her Master’s attention as he checked out the notifications that he received immediately following the death of the Wyvern. “First off, what the fuck? I cleared the Animus in Vale? What does that mean exactly? And I also got another Salem’s Influence that I still have no fuckin clue what to do with. It seems like an extremely important item considering this is the first one I’ve gotten since the first Dungeon I cleared, and I only got another one after I conquered all the Dungeons in Vale, but what is it supposed to do? Damn. I really wish I didn’t have to think so damn hard to come up with answers to these randomly occurring events, but I guess I aint that lucky.” As the Savior of Earth sunk further into his own thoughts, the Dungeon around him began shifting, restoring itself to its former glory. The collapsed, rundown buildings repaired themselves, the broken concrete floors mended back together, and the night sky shifted into day, making the entire Dungeon appear entirely normal.

Lilith’s summons disappeared soon after she finished her winged meal, and after she finished shrinking back down to her original size, she rapidly slithered her way back to her Master and sibling, coiling up at their feet and waiting for a response. Once the danger noodle appeared before him, he immediately shot out of his mental and expressed extreme pride in his slithery partner. “Lilith, that was fucking amazing!” Her Master erupted, wrapping her in a deep, warm embrace that she gladly welcome, coiling herself against his free body parts to connect more with him. “You fucked up that Wyvern so bad and you didn’t even need to use your other summons! I can’t shake the feeling that you were handicapping yourself by trying, and succeeding, to eat every single Grimm to make them join your ever-growing army! It was amazing to watch, and you have truly blown me away with your ability! You have fucking laser beams, summons that eat for you, snakes that shrink your opponents to eat them, and even the ability to grow much bigger than you are without needing a Primordial Shell! Your kit if fucking awesome and that’s probably not even a percent of what you can do!” The praise seemingly didn’t stop as Lilith was showered in kisses, gentle strokes, and praises that she didn’t feel deserving of, and it was in this moment that she regretted her actions from the night before, realizing that she could’ve gotten this kind of praise from her Master then.

After her Master’s praises for her died down a bit, Byakko included, “I am impressed by you Lilith, you needed no help at all against an opponent that theoretically should’ve had an advantage. You did very well, and you’ve shown the ability to grow more powerful in these types of scenarios. You are more than worthy of being by Master’s side.” Lilith stopped paying attention to her Master for a moment to dip her head slightly in respect for her superior, and as (Y/N) listened to Byakko’s words, he ignored the bit about deserving and focused on the ‘growing more powerful’ part.

“Oh yeah that reminds me! There isn’t a better time than now to give you your gifts my sweet, sweet Lilith, but before I give you your surprise, I need you to close your eyes.” Lilith was a bit confused by his request, but she ducked her head into her coils anyway, listening to her Master’s request. Once her eyes were hidden, (Y/N) summoned each and every Grimm that he had created the night before, filling the entire Square with the massive Beasts that were soon to be consumed by the consumer of worlds. “Ok, now you may open them” he spoke to the Basilisk, watching her rise her head out of the coils and stare in awe at the mass of Grimm that surrounded them. “Tada! I gave you an all you can eat buffe of the strongest Grimm I could make! Feel free to eat and consume at your own discretion. Although, I would recommend going from smallest to largest, just to make sure you don’t have any hard limits on power or anything like that.”

Lilith wasn’t the only one who was surprised, as Byakko stared aimlessly at the massive Grimm that stood in front of them. “Master, I believe you may have gone a little too far with the gifts. I am afraid you know nothing of the word ‘moderation’ Master., this is way too much for a surprise gift.”

“Really” he asked as he looked at the rowdy bunch of massive Grimm. “I don’t see it. This seems like a perfectly average, reasonable number of powerful Beasts to give to a trusted companion as a first gift” he spoke with a smile on his face. “Lilith, feel free to begin whenever you are fully prepared for what is to come.” Lilith took her Master recommendation to heart and slowly began chowing down on the smaller Grimm, slowly making her way up to the larger ones, however, she quickly broke through her third Primordial Shell after consuming the Grimm-Wolf, Alpha Grimm-Wolf, Griffon, and Gryphon, reaching her next stage of Independence, Independence III, and gifting her Master with this message.

Lilith shattered her third Primordial Shell III and has reached her third period of Independence III! Primordial Shel IV will take form at Level 50.

It was amazing to watch Lilith grow at such a rapid pace, quickly growing more than double in size, head reaching up to his thigh while completely face down to the ground, and the tattoo like symbols across her head increased in detail and size. The Crescent moon and cross remained, but the tip of the Crescent moon was now connected to a long, thick crimson colored line that traveled down her spine, all the way to the tip of her tail which was no longer pure black but was now purely red like the many tattoos like designs on her head and the flesh in her mouth. Instead of continuing to eat the rest, she made the conscious decision to wait until her next Primordial Shell hit so she could grow at an extremely rapid rate again, so (Y/N) put the other Grimm away for now. It was during this time that (Y/N) learned quite a bit about her abilities as a whole and the more specific things that pertained to her ‘eat then summon’ ability. For one, he learned that the strength of Lilith’s summoning’s strength, that she acquired by eating, were determined by how much HP and MP they had at the time of consumption, essentially meaning that the stronger her opponent was at the time she ate them, the stronger the summon would be. However, the weakening could come in different ways, loss in specific attributes, levels, skills, titles, abilities, or possibly all of the above, but either way if the opponent was one shot when she ate it, it would be a weaker summoning.

He also learned that he couldn’t farm his own Beasts for Exp, since even if Byakko killed one she wouldn’t receive any experience for it, but Lilith would acquire size and retain them as a full, maximum, strength summon so she had incredible use for them. Lilith also didn’t need to shoot the Grimm from her throat in order to summon them, she actually had the ability to combine most, if not all, her skills with the summoned beasts, meaning that she could theoretically summon a bunch of devouring snakes and have a Grimm-Wolf appear from it after it attacked or something of that nature. As usual, the stronger the being she attempted to bring into existence the more MP it cost her, but she does have the natural ability to absorb opponents MP to work for herself, so that’s never really an issue. All in all, it was a great learning experience for both (Y/N) and Byakko as they learned a lot about the magical capabilities of their companion and grew a bit closer throughout the session, but once they exited out of the Dungeon’s portal, they saw that the night was already beginning to wane. So, instead of heading to spot number two where they’d spend the rest of the night grinding, Byakko and Lilith chose to go to Hel’s kitchen to make sure that Neo and Scarlet got where they wanted to go that night, and (Y/N) sprinted and teleported through Vale’s now Animus free city, heading his way to the Forever Fall Forest.

Speaking of, the defense for the forest was interesting as it was well known that the scenic location was filled to the brim with Grimm, so similar to the other entries into the city, there was a border that protected Vale from the forest’s Grimm. About a mile away from the city, there was a long wall like fence that stretched from sea to mountain, completely separating the forest from the rest of the city, and about a kilometer away from the border is where the Forever Fall forest began. Along the fence were patrolling Huntsman that kept watch over the structure 24/7, killing any Grimm that crossed the forests lines and protected the citizens that entered into the dangerous place, and there were also various checkpoints that acted as Huntsman courters for the men who were inactive so they could stay close by in case something happened. There are a few different pathways that lead into the forest, paved roadways that are constantly being cleared of Grimm to allow civilians entry into the forest since there were a few known locations in the area that were popular amongst the populace, and it was through one of these roads that (Y/N) entered into the forest.

Earlier, Willow had sent him the coordinates of all the train’s stops which weren’t many, only three, but the times in which they took place were essential for him. After having Meta place, them on his mental map, he realized the three stops that were mentioned were not really stops since the first one was literally its take off point, the second was another load point where some minor exchanges of cargo occurred and the last one was the trains final destination, the place where all the Dust would be unloaded for distribution amongst Vale’s military. He didn’t really intend to be taking a large amount of the Dust that Vale was importing to assist in their military endeavors, but that was just how the cookie crumbled and because of the city’s natural borders he was sure that they’d be just fine. He made great time and quickly made it into the forest, instantly surrounding himself in the damp. sweet scent of fall leaves and the gorgeous sight of orangish-red ‘leaves’ that fell all around him. The leaves that were on the trees and fell from their branches weren’t actually leaves at all, instead they were much more like petals with their smooth, soft coatings. That essentially made the entire Forever Fall forest, one filled with trees that were like Sakura Blossoms that bloomed with orange-red petals that grew and fell constantly, creating a thick layer of the soft substance across the ground that padded his every step.

The scenery was gorgeous even in the darkened sky, but the view was only slightly ruined by the endless amount of Grimm that seemed to plague the Forrest as he strayed further and further from the set paths, taking the shortest path to his destination. He quickly swam and swerved through the endless Grimm, leaping off of cliffs, and climbing up mountains until he eventually made it to his desired destination. The place that he arrived at was a massive trainyard that had a large, barbed wire tipped fence surrounding it on all sides with watchtowers at each corner and center of the rectangular fence. The trees in the forest had been completely cleared at least 500 feet away from the yard to give the watching guards full view of the potential dangers that could come their way. Once (Y/N) arrived at the trainyard, he applied his Devilish appearance and waltzed his way directly to the front gate, and the instant that they saw him he was given entry. His train full of Dust was already on its track and was prepped for takeoff, so the moment he was escorted to the front most cart of the train and sat down, the trains engine began hollering, and the gears began shifting, slowly moving the train full of Dust along the tracks. Soon, the train was steaming full speed ahead towards its destination where it would be unloaded into a storage yard and shipped to the desired location, but until then it’d be traveling along the tracks at high speeds.

Once the train started moving, (Y/N) was given a moment of time to himself and he used this time to fully understand the current scenario he found himself in with the new information that he had gained. “After Lilith killed the Wyvern, the System gave me a notification saying that I had cleared the Animus from Vale, and as a reward for doing that it gave me some experience and stuff, but by far the most interesting item was this Dust crystal looking thing with a mystery description called Salem’s Influence” he thought as he went over all the info he had gathered thus far. “Let’s start with the basics, conquering all the Dungeons in a specific city or area means that you’re clearing the Animus in that area. Doesn’t that mean that the Dungeons that are in the worlds and the Grimm that are inside of them are essentially just Remnants Stygian-Animus? I guess that makes some kind of sense considering the Grimm inside the Dungeons had MP, were stronger than the natural ones outside the Dungeons, and seemed a bit more organized. However, at the same time it makes things a bit more complicated because it doesn’t really explain the reason why they exist at all.”

The questions continued to plague his thoughts as he thought, “there are a bunch of possible reasonings for it and I don’t really have much evidence to back up any of them. It could just be a system thing and have nothing to do with the big picture, it could be something that all the Awakened can access and the System just visualizes it for me, maybe it’s a weird aspect of Remnant that’s always existed but wasn’t represented in the show , it could also have massive implications for the future as a whole and deal heavily with how the Stygian-Animus work, or fuck it, it could be a combination of all of them! I literally just have nothing conclusive, however if I had to bet, I’d say it’s a combination of the second and fourth options, but for now there is no way to tell.” As he finished drawing his non-conclusive conclusion on the first topic, his mind naturally moved on to the second object in discussion as he pulled the purple, black, and white Crystal out of his inventory and maneuvered it in his hands.

“Salem’s Influence.” He thought as he gripped the object in his hand, touching its every crevasse and inspecting its every detail. “When I first got this, I didn’t think much of it because I had yet to realize I was in Remnant, but now that I am aware of it, this crystal has to somehow be related to Salem. However, I have no clue how it’s related to her, and I have no clue what it can even be used for. Hey Meta, do you know what this thing is? Like can you take a sneak peek passed the question marks and read a description?”

[Nope! The is far above Meta’s abilities! However, Meta can run a few simulations to see what Salem’s Influence can yield!]

“Yeah, can you do that please?”

[Yessir! Finished! Salem’s Influence is not useful in item crafting, armor crafting, weapon crafting, Beast infusions, or anything for that matter! Meta has found that Salem’s Influence is not available in the Shop anywhere and can’t be found anywhere else in the System! The only thing Meta found that hints that (Y/N) may be able to do anything with Salem’s Influence is that you can collect multiple of it!]

“I appreciate you looking through it for me Meta, thank you. And you are right, I don’t know why the System would allow me to collect a bunch of them if I wasn’t able to do something with them. This is literally the sixth one I’ve received so I better be able to do something with them once I get certain number of them, or maybe get the right conjugate to make something else. Either way, I need to keep clearing Dungeons to learn more about the Animus and collect more of these Salem’s Influences, especially if its only a reward for clearing an entire city. But I guess that begs another question, why the fuck did I get so many of these damn crystals from that Dungeon?” That was the final question that the Devil was left with as he sunk further in his seat, thinking deeply about the concepts.

After sitting with his thoughts for about an hour on the train, he got bored, so he chose to dick around in the System for a while, creating some mock weapon blueprints that he’d either be using for himself or giving to his companions at a later date. Even that got boring after a while and once he realized that there wasn’t much else to do inside his own mind, he got up from his seat and began walking the train, much to the dismay of the attendant that was standing guard at his train car. However, once he reassured the man that he’d be fine he teleported passed the door and into the next car to explore the rest of the long train. He found that it looked mostly as he expected it too, lining each of the train’s cars were stacks upon stacks of crates and boxes filled with Dust and beside each stack of crates was a deactivated Atlas Robo-soldier, each well equipped with a powerful gun that was likely to kill any unwanted passengers. As he walked deeper into the train, he found more of Atlas’s defense systems, massive Mecha spiders, interesting looking golems, and wide variety of the common soldier typing.

He soon entered into one of the open cars and walked directly into the bright sun of day beaming down on him and illuminating the beautiful surroundings. The Devil didn’t realize how much time had passed while he was on the quickly moving train, the sun was already high in the sky, his lovers had already woken up and started their days, and he was stuck on this godforsaken train doing nothing but waiting for a hunch he had to show themselves. However, he found that it wasn’t all bad because sitting out in the bright sun filled him with a comfortable warmth that he wouldn’t have felt if he was sitting inside all day, so he chose to sit up against a crate and bath in the suns gaze as he waited for something interesting to happen. Something kind of interesting was soon to happened as the train was going to make its stop at the smaller distribution center, exchanging some its cargo and a few of the trains passengers before it started back up again, but that seemed like it was going to happen for another eternity.

Soon even the outdoors became boring and experiencing what his clone was doing wasn’t very interesting either, so he went back to one of the more highly secure carts to start fucking around with the Atlas security bots, doing some tests with his skills to see what could and would not work, like ripping an arm off and healing it to see what would happen, or trying to shove an entire machine in his inventory. Some of the tests succeeded more than others, but most failed miserably, but all in all he learned some things which was his true objective the entire time anyway. As he continued to mess around and tinker with the Robots out of boredom, all the visor like eyes on the Atlas security Robots suddenly lit up red and they immediately got up from there positions and rushed out of the door, heading up the train towards something. “I guess something interesting is finally happening” he thought as he began following the Robots to see what they were sprinting towards.

The instant he walked outside he could hear the cutting, clashing, and slashing of metal against metal coming directly from the inside car opposite of him. He watched as the waves of Robots rushed towards the entrance to the metallic train car, but before the first one was able to enter through the door, the metallic entrance was suddenly blown open, sending the severed body of a security Bot soaring through the sky and landing far off the tracks. The Bot that too close to the door was also instantly crushes by the weight of the metal and the strength of the explosive power that blew the structure open, leaving the entry way wide open for two quick figures to speedily dash out of the opening and begin wreaking havoc on the Robots that tried their best to stop the powerful intruders. The Devil watched as a masked man explosively shot of the entrance and began terrorizing the Robots that shot at him. He easily deflected every bullet that was sent his way as he dipped low, dashing at the on slaughters before quickly reaching the gunner and cutting it clean in half, swiftly following that strike up with another horizontal slash to another Robot which resulted in its visored head coming clean off its body resulting in it being permanently decommissioned. Instantly after the blinding attacks, he silently sheathed his blade at such a speed that it didn’t look as if he pulled his weapon in the first place.

His partner erupted onto the scene with the same explosive energy, flying out of the broken entry while leaving a shadowy version of herself in her wake, instantly cutting down the first Bot she saw in half using her bladed sheath. After the quick cleave, she dashed after her partner, holding her sheathed weapon in both hands like a large sword and rapidly eradicating any leftover Bots that got too close to her partner, slicing arms, bodies, and heads off in mere moments with tremendous speed. Once her and her partner pushed towards the center of the open car, they were quickly surrounded on all sides as more and more Atlas Robots emerged from the other train cars, both the one where (Y/N) was standing by and the one that they had originally erupted from. However, even surrounded they didn’t even flinch as they attacked, instead the masked man simply held tightly to his sheathed blade and the woman dashed at the Atlas drone that was closets to her and cleaved it in half with a horizontal slash. As she fellow through with the attack, she used the momentum of the slash to rip her blade from its sheath, revealing a black Katana underneath, which she quickly used to dispatch another Bot by slicing its head off. Following that attack, she back-flipped backwards to dodge an incoming slash by a Bot, but not before smoothly kicking it cleanly up in the air with a crescent kick and then suddenly shooting herself forward leaving a shadowy clone of herself behind. The speed and momentum she gained from the propulsion gave her more than enough built-up strength to spin rapidly with both blades in each hand, cleanly cutting through the Bot with both blades, but before she landed, she watched as her partner began sending security bot after security bot soaring in the air with rapid, instantaneous quick strikes that were made faster and stronger with the use of his rifle scabbard. The deadly combination of the speedy, precise strikes and the thunderous boom that came with the shots from the scabbard, made it appear as though, without pulling his blade, he was exploding the Bots into the air simply by staring at them.

As soon as their enemies were in the air, the woman propelled herself into the crowd of flying Bots, rapidly cutting each of them down while her partner focused on sending them to her for the kill blows, and soon there were much more alive bots in the air than there were on the ground, prompting her to switch her methods. While still in the air, the woman used her technique to shoot herself higher up into the air and at the same time, the Katana that had just sliced through a metallic opponent folded inward on itself, forming into a sickle with a long ribbon attached to its hilt and machine gun mechanism. The instant it completed its transformation, she shot the sickle out of her hand, sending the controlled airborne weapon soaring and slicing directly into a bot’s neck that was further away from her and the moment it connected with its neck, she pulled the trigger again, decapitating the bot and sending the blade into another opponent where she maneuvered it in such a way that it perfectly cut her next target. With each shot, the blade flew towards its next target, dismembering, decapitating, and decommissioning anything it came across, and for what felt like an instant, a barrage of machine gun fire sounded off and in that same instant the slick sound of sharpened metal slicing through metal rang throughout the train. As the gun fire ceased, so did the slicing, and what was left in its wake was a falling mass of dead Robots that quickly clunked to the ground as the woman gracefully landed on her feet leaving nothing alive.
