《The Break》chapter 52: Unexpected Visit [3]

It was a cold day.
The snow on the streets slowly began to rise up to the ankles of the people walking through it.
It was a busy day.
Cars filled the streets as everyone in it had places to go. Places to be. Places they wish they didn’t have to go to but had to because of responsibilities.
It was a dull, repetitive day.
A day that most have lived through many times. The same Thursday. The same Thursday that most people knew already by heart.
Sure each Thursday isn’t really the same. For example, the homeless guy that usually sleeps at the side of this corner at this time was now under cartons, trying to shield himself from the falling snow. The kids who would be happy to take their slides and go through the snow just last week were brought to school by their parents in their fancy cars.
And unlike any other Thursday, I entered an already filled classroom at the same time. Wearing thicker clothes like sweaters and boots, the students in the classroom were earlier than I was, which was unusual since I came to school twenty minutes early.
And unlike any other day, I felt a new kind of emotion from the students that looked at me.
Confusion, anxiety, respect, kindness and... adoration? Really? Does someone like my actions from yesterday? It seemed a bit irrational to like some hypocrite for being a hypocrite at the moment.
Or maybe it was just something specific. But it wasn’t a thought that stayed in my mind for too long. I had other things to worry about.
Or to be more specific, I had to think about what happened a couple of days ago.
If we go in chronological order then it would be that Felix talked with me after a while and took a step forward, I saw something like a vision of Gramps and other people, Gina and Alyssa were fighting uncontrollably and the principal told me a story while giving me the mask I wanted from him.
It was too much honestly, even after a couple of days and a couple of artefacts later. I was still forging artefacts as part of my agreement with Big Sis Ange but even that couldn’t help to clear my mind completely.
The most important thing I was thinking about was what I saw right after returning to class with Felix.
Gramps…
He seems fine. And I saw some new people. Or to be more honest.
That was the first time I saw a dragon. And three dragons at that.
Gramps told me that there existed dragons and that they weren’t a kind of monster but a humanoid race that had two forms which didn’t need any kind of energy to maintain.
It was weird, honestly. Like every intelligent race being humanoid felt a bit off. But it wasn’t something I could really answer right now with the limited knowledge I possess at the moment.
But it wasn’t really the fact of what kind of race Gramps met but what they were all doing.
And with the contents I had in my head so far, it seemed that Gramps made a deal with the chief of the dragons, Bahtur. What the deal was, I can hardly tell. One part of it was definitely Gramps finding a place the dragons can live in after ‘The Break’ happened.
But Bahtur looked like he didn’t like the fact that the place wasn’t as hidden as he thought. And the reason why Gramps couldn’t find a better place for the dragons seemed to be…

Me…
I have no idea why I should find the dragons in the first place but given the fact that I do not know what the future may hold, I should trust Gramps by waiting until my ‘Third year’.
But what did ‘Third year’ really mean? The third year of ‘The Break’? The third-year after I became a [Transcendens] realm awakened? The third year of my firstborn child?
What did it have to be? I had no clue and with the personality of Gramps, even after finding him, he wouldn’t tell me. That old fucking ba-
‘And don’t ever forget… everyone that loves you believes in you.’
I’ll keep my rage in for now. No need to waste it on someone like him anyway.
Walking to my desk with someone that also felt slight adoration towards me and clicking her tongue, I took out a piece of paper and a pencil and continued to draw something.
“That’s actually beautiful. Didn’t know you could draw that well.”
“Oh… I-I started to draw a year ago. D-do you really like IT!”
Stop pinching my sides, Alyssa! It was already unusual for someone to even approach me without fully knowing that I’m awakened. Felix was the first one and this boy is the second, making me slightly stutter at the beginning of my sentences.
I had still quite the difficulty being friendly to strangers. We were in the same class and if I remember, this boy was in the art club and his name is Nikolas but besides that, nothing.
So please don’t flame me for stuttering like that. Changing one's behaviour takes years and I originally started for only a couple of weeks.
And talking nicely to strangers is the least I did this week.
“Did you draw a real place? The mountain, the open grass field and the woods surrounding it almost look like fantasy.”
“I don’t know where this is but I saw a picture of it once and am drawing it from memory.”
That was a lie. It was the place I saw in the vision. I may still remember the vision fully but that doesn’t mean that I’ll remember it just as well in the future. And with the drawing skills I acquired after all the blueprints, I drew and the accuracy of an awakened, I could now sketch the place fairly well.
“You should consider joining the art club. Maybe you can teach us a thing or two about drawing like that.”
“Hahaha… maybe. I’ll think about it.”
Also a lie. I knew that my drawing is mediocre without the accuracy I possess. And besides, this club most likely won’t exist until three weeks later.
And so, I continued to draw the place in my vision, attracting more and more people around my desk and getting more and more jabs to my ribs by Alyssa. By now, I feel like my outburst made some find something in me that they were interested in
Maybe some have connected some dots. Maybe some are just genuinely interested in knowing who I am. Or maybe they just want to find a new way to have fun.
But whatever it is, I don’t plan to be close to any of them. All of them were at fault in my school life in one way or another.
And before I knew it, the students returned to their own desks as the teacher entered the class. It was now like any other Thursday.
The teacher enters the class.
The students rush to their places but never stop with their conversations.

The teacher reprimands students as he is talking about physics.
The first few lessons go by in a flash until it is the big lunch break.
It was supposed to be a quiet time for me.
All had to be well. Eating my prepared sandwich with Alyssa and talking about stuff I was interested in outside of awakened stuff. Besides games, music and engineering, there wasn’t much I had an interest in that Alyssa asked about.
I guess if I have to think about a subject outside of these three it must be reading.
The Art of War, Leviathan, The Prince and so on. It was more of interest in older books written by known figures throughout history. Whether it was about politics, war tactics or philosophy, I liked to see what the thoughts of the old were.
Well, now I had my answer in real life since Gramps is older than most of the books I have read.
But my quiet time was soon over the moment a certain figure approached me.
And he wasn’t alone.
And when all of us saw who the four others were next to the certain figure, we all must have had the same thought.
But I was the one that said it out loud.
“You! Walter Peltro!”
I stood up, slamming the table as I looked at the same bastard from last time. His right arm was missing but besides that, he looked like he always would.
Arrogant.
Next to him were Frank, James and two new faces. One was someone with unkempt long hair and beard while the other was next to Walter with black hair and almost the same kind of attitude. What was funny was how it seemed as if Walter was dependent on that person.
So my guess would be with Niklas Peltro, the one Finn served.
“Oho! We meet again, whatever-your-name-was. Seems that after I beat the shit out of you a month ago, you became stronger.”
“I had to so I wouldn’t be trampled by the likes of you. Only that it turns out that you are something beyond normal.”
“Oh, seems like you didn’t only gain muscles but also courage. Where did that come from.”
“From the fact that the last time you were here, you were almost fucked up by our principal. Which makes me wonder why you aren’t scared of him no-”
BOOOOOM
What was that?! An explosion on the third floor? That’s impossible! The principal should be there! Unless…
“What did you do with the principal!”
“Catching on quick… I like that head of yours, Laith Arslan.”
“And who might you be?”
“I’m so~ sorry for my manners. My name is Niklas Peltro, the notorious… bastard of the Peltro family.”
Niklas Peltro. A bastard son of the master of the Peltros and someone that seemed to be kept hidden up to a point.
And that point was now. He was right in front of me. The person that the Peltros could shelter enough from the Association to not be able to find out even information about his powers.
“How do you know my name?”
“We can stop playing now, Laith. I mean, what would you think when the person you cut the arm off came back to you?”
“What do you mean? I can’t be the one that did that! I have no powers!”
Shit! How! How did they find out! There were no cameras and Finn wasn’t strong enough to communicate telepathically. He was a [Discipulus] realm awakened level five at best! There was also no kind of artefact with or inside of him for all I have heard from Big Sis Ange.
“Must have felt nice to hit my aide, didn’t it? I had fun like that as well when beating up people. The thrill of your fists hitting the flesh of other living beings~! Haaaa~h! I couldn’t get enough.”
“You psycho! Just tell me what you did with the principal!”
“Oh, I’d love to! Really! But…”
All of them besides James pulled out a weapon and went to a ready stance. Frank with his dagger, The other guard-looking man had needles flying around his hands, Walter had a short sword in his left hand and Niklas was…
Smiling and just stood there. Isn’t he going to fight as well?
But it wasn’t something I can worry about now when three awakened with one of them having an ability I don’t know about.
What the hell is the principal doing right now?!
The early morning.
It was like any other Thursday.
The snow had already fallen to the ground during the night, making the early mornings have the clear, cold air of early to mid-December.
The early morning.
It was like any other normal morning even for the least normal people. Getting to their office, preparing for mundane paperwork and getting a cup of coffee given by their secretary or assistant.
Like any other morning.
“Mhm~. That coffee tastes really good! How did you make it this time, Samantha?”
The secretary looked back at the principal as she was about to walk out of the office, her eyes almost sparkling as she looked at the man sitting right behind his desk. He seemed perfect in the eyes of normal humans.
The body of every man’s dream, the charisma that could make anyone think they are on cloud 9 already and his character is a sweet and caring one.
“Nothing much. Just had a change of the coffee, that’s it.”
“Really? I thought that it may be the way you brew it. Well, my bad.”
Samantha stood there, looking at the principal with sheer amazement which the latter didn’t understand it was for.
“Is… something wrong?”
“I just don’t believe that you didn’t guess what was different after only a sip.”
“I’m still human. I may have a lot of power but I’m neither omnipotent nor omniscient. I’m only cautious.”
“Then you should have already known what I did differently with your caution.”
“Haha! Stop pretending like you don’t know why. I’m not cautious around you. I mean why would I be around the daughter o-”
“Of my best friend. Yes… heard that one enough...”
Seemingly depressed, Samantha walked out of the office, going through her blonde hair with her empty hand out of frustration.
CLICK
“Guess I’m finally by myself.”
BZZZT BZZZZZT
“Hm?”
Taking out his phone, he answered the call of someone even he couldn’t just hang up on.
“Hello, Director?”
[Listen quickly, Alexander! It’s about the powder I told you about be-]
BOOM
An explosion soon rang out through the entire building, putting most parts of the top floor into shambles.
Walls broken down with cracks running all over the building, cables and pipes protruding out the broken corners and anyone that was on this floor heavily wounded.
But the most surprising thing was that one person alone stood there, confusion written all over his face.
Especially after seeing the blood dropping off the side of his head.
He, who was only second to Akira, was wounded.
By a mere explosion.
“H-How?”
“So that dosage wasn’t enough to make you completely powerless, huh…”
“What!?”
Multiple men in black suits appeared out of nowhere with one having a weirdly shaped cube in his hands. Lines of deep orange went over the strange cubes' sides as if a certain type of energy was going through those pathways.
But one thing was for sure.
“You bastards! What did you do to Samantha!”
“We did not harm her, oh great lone hero! She only helped us out with a little something. But if she did it willingly, you should ask her that.”
Pulling on a person with blonde hair, the man who seems to be the leader of the dozens of men grabbed her arm tightly.
Alexander’s eyes shook slightly as the wound on the side of his head kept bleeding slowly.
He won’t die.
But he didn’t know about the man right now.
Since Samantha looked like a broken doll right now. Her limbs left with no strength, her eyes slightly cloudy, seemingly empty at that.
And with his hearing, he heard almost nothing.
Almost.
‘She is alive! She is alive! She is alive! She is alive!’
But that was it.
She is alive, yet almost at death's door. No visible wounds, no inner bleeding, no fractures…
Nothing could be the reason for her current state. So there is only one reason left.
“Who is the puppeteer?”
Alexander had the expression of the devil on his face, anger flowing out of his body without it having any form nor any kind of energy per se.
But his emotions were enough to shake reality in itself.
“Amazing! Even after losing your powers, you can still display your soul, although slightly.”
“Losing my powers? What exactly did you do?”
“Oh, nothing much. We just gave your lovely secretary a new product the young master ordered us to give to you. Something that looks like white powder. Seemingly a drug that can temporarily lower the grade of an awakened. But seeing the look on your face when you reali-hahahahaha! Oh, what a great sight! Seeing that you were betrayed by someone ne-”
BOOM
Grabbing the talkative man by the face, he slammed him through a couple of broken walls before returning immediately to Samantha’s side. She almost fell face-first on the broken parts of the wall.
But as he slammed the man away, he understood it. He became weaker. Way weaker than he normally limits himself.
‘Around level 3 [Illustratus]... this is bad… I can’t fight all of them while keeping everyone safe. This means…’
“Who wants to talk? Or are you ready to die for your actions?”
The men looked visibly shaken as they looked into the eyes of someone who is initially strong enough to destroy their very being in a mere moment. But that is until the man that was thrown away came back, slowly making his way to his man.
‘I have no time! Distract them until my men can help out. But I’m not sure how long this drug will be able to affect me.’
“What are you idiots looking at! You! Activate the artefact! Everyone else, let’s kill that fucker!”
“Yes, sir!”
They shouted all in union with the one holding the cube ramming it into the ground, creating a wide orange barrier around the school before Alexander could do anything. He had lives to care about. The teachers and students that were on this floor, those that could potentially die just because they were bystanders and the one that was currently laying in his arms.
So leaving the currently unconscious Samantha slowly on the side of the room that didn’t seem that much in shambles, he turned to the group of men that were the reason for all of this.
So if they really want to die by his hands.
Why not grant them their wishes.
What the hell is the principal doing right now?!
No. That's the wrong question.
What happened that he couldn’t act immediately? This question is what I have to know.
Because depending on that, my next action will change. I have three opponents that I have to fight or a lot of people I have to save while avoiding any casualty.
“What are you waiting for? Come on and attack me before it’s too late, Laith!”
Niklas… that bastard.
How far has he planned ahead? How much does he know?
And what can I do to topple all of his plans?
VUUM
An orange barrier around the school ground.
I don’t think it was the principal that put up that barrier so the source of power may also not be just mere Will.
This means I am not the main target but only someone that could be a hindrance to their plan. But that doesn’t make sense! They can be as many as they want but a level 1 [Caelestia] realm awakened has enough power to destroy an entire continent.
Any amount of awakened no matter how strong won’t do jack shit against him, which leaves the entire plan extremely questionable.
Unless they found a way to hurt him…
“What are you waiting for, Laithy boy! Maybe you aren’t super like they say?”
But affecting an awakened’s Will should be impossible not to mention their realm unless you sacrifice souls. And any kind of soul eater’s artefact or items should have been impossible to get through him.
How was he so careless? Did something happen that even he couldn’t predict?
“Are you alright, Mr Arslan? I know that you are an awakened already but that doesn’t mean that you have to be that stunned.”
Huh?
They were talking?
I was so dazed by the thought of what is currently happening with the principal that I forgot that I was almost surrounded by three awakened that drew their weapon.
And while all of this happened, there were those gazes.
Lots of gazes.
Anxious gazes.
Pleading gazes.
Confused gazes.
But all gazes had one underlying question behind them.
‘What is currently happening’
That is what makes those gazes even more obvious to me.
I can tell what they feel because I have such a gaze right now.
I can understand their feelings because I am wondering that myself as well.
And I am scared. I am not going to step back. But lying here won’t give me an advantage.
So, I can say it again. I am scared. Scared about not being able to keep my promises. Scared about what will happen to the principal. Scared about me not being able to keep everyone safe, just like I promised Big Sis Ange.
I am scared that right now, I am not enough.
Just like they are scared that they may get involved in something they can not handle. So they looked at me, some understanding something while others are still oblivious of the truth.
But this meant one thing. I have nowhere to retreat. I had accidents which should be more than questionable for everyone here and now that those that had powers came and confront me made everything clear now, slowly getting everyone up to date.
“You are the Black Knight?!”
“Huh? But how fast did he change? It wasn’t just plastic surgery?”
“That means we have been treating our hero like trash?”
“Holy shit! What if he is going to take revenge?”
“He rescued us just so he can take revenge on us? Are you sure about it?”
“Everyone! Shut up!”
I shouted, drowning out every little voice that those ignorant fools let out of their mouth. Just look at them, talking with each other like they have the luxury to do so.
But now that I shouted so loudly that even the window glasses vibrated strongly, I had everyone’s attention on me.
“Finally getting your attention back at us? Ah~ I felt quite insulted by that act of yours. You know…”
Niklas paused for a moment, letting his Will rise around him like a tempest. He seemed more pissed off from the fact that I ignored him rather than the fact that I cut off the arm of his brother.
“I get so furious when people just straight up ignore me!”
VUUM
What the hell?! He is joining as well? Never mind the other three, I’m not sure if I can beat him alone!
But just like it rose, the Will around him vanished into thin air, leaving me and most likely everyone else with a confused look.
“But this isn’t my time to act. This is the revenge of my little brother and I’d do absolutely everything for him to fulfil his wish. So don’t even think of running away. None of you can escape this room without my permission”
Raising his hand, the room felt heavier.
No. It was more like it was out of this room. So he has a decent amount of Space affinity. The only question is how much superior he is to me. I can now tell that he is at the peak of a [Discipulus] realm awakened but that isn’t the thing I’m mostly worried that…
My ability makes me understand weapons so together, I can tell if there is an opening in someone’s stance and how I can use that opening. It is like I can see a spark of gold at a certain place on their bodies
And there were only two types of stances that scarred me the most.
Gramps showed me those two stances and they were absolutely terrifying coupled with the fact that he used them to beat me up.
The first one was him never even having an opening. I counted that as something that comes with the experience of centuries-old fighters.
The second stance was always full of openings though. But the terrifying thing about it was that the moment I decided to act, these openings vanished and I could almost see myself die at that moment.
They were not feints. Gramps also told me that it wasn’t just mere reflexes that would create such a stance.
But that the opponent knew exactly what you want to do. It was such a scary thought that it made my blood run cold.
And Niklas’s stance was like that. Always with an opening but the moment I thought about acting on it, they vanished and I could see myself falling into a trap. Lights flickered non-stop around his body in my eyes.
And this was frustrating.
So frustrating that I laughed out loud like a maniac.
“AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!”
“Laith?”
Alyssa looked at me worriedly while most of the others finally took a step back. Their thoughts must be running wild but I had actually nothing on my mind now. I just wanted some answers before letting loose.
“Finally understanding your situation, bastard? Well, of co-”
“Shut up, fucker. I am talking with your oh-so-great big brother now!”
“You-”
“Don’t let him provoke you, Walter.”
“How did you find out it was me that was behind the mask. No one besides your servant knew and he was always in the custody of the Association. So how?”
“The Association didn’t know that the big families were working with the cults and sects that use soul sacrifices so I had my servant bound his soul with a neat artefact that works like a surveillance device. You can never detect it without breaking his soul, it records everything up to a week ago and you can’t delete those scenes you save specifically.”
“But you must have known that your servant is going to get caught at some point if not… you planned for it.”
“Smart idea but no. I could have had far more profit by having the degrading drug stay a secret but nothing is as important to me as to help my li-”
“You couldn’t profit from it more if it stayed a secret because the Association has started to patrol through the whole city more and would have found the drug eventually. One week at most? And the moment you would get caught off guard is the moment you wouldn’t have any left from your certain warehouse. Don’t bluff at me with such cheap lies.”
A complicated look was on his face. He seemed troubled that I saw through his lie but my statement wasn’t really a clear victory. What I just said made me also tell him that I had ties with the Association which isn’t really a win-win for me.
“And I thought I could trick you but you are smarter than you look, Association dog.”
“How does the drug work?”
“Why should I tell you?”
“Because I asked? I know now that it degrades a person’s realm. There is no other way that you could kill the principal with your lackeys. The only person capable of killing the principal without lowering his realm forcefully would be Akira Hashimoto.”
“HOW DARE YOU MENTION THE NAME OF THE USURPER!!!!”
“Usurper? I don’t know what your servants lived through but I don’t know what he has done to be called a usurper?”
“He is the one of those that unrightfully killed our last family head before he could advance to the [Caelestia] realm.”
Obviously since giving you power seemed like the worst choice, not to mention that the principal would have actually annihilated everyone from the families already if it wasn’t for the words of the Director.
But calling gramps that way…
Mhm~, yes… I don’t like it.
Is it okay if I could pierce him with Orage?
“Frank, shut up. And to your question, it works more like a parasite that eats away at your Will over time, blocking your pathways while doing so.”
“Thank you for answering my questions.”
“Then I guess…”
VUUUM
“Yes.”
This has been delayed for long enough.
People now saw that I wasn’t normal.
Stalker was now covering my body, making it clear that I don’t want to talk anymore.
My rage was slowly boiling up as I slowly put together a way in which I could rescue most of the people and fight those bastards at the same time.
But for that, I had to act rashly now.
Because I had one thing they most likely didn’t know.
And that was exactly when I rushed towards Niklas as fast as I could, not minding the surprised gazes of everyone, and prepared to swing with nothing but my bare hand.
The lights I saw around his body flickered. The openings vanished and new ones appeared somewhere else on his body.
But that didn’t matter as I had a small piece of metal and flicked it towards his face. But that wasn’t enough to even interest him, doing absolutely nothing but create a very small cut on his cheek as the metal piece passed him by.
But right before I really could approach him, those other three bastards immediately stood in my way, not letting me even see the silhouette of Niklas.
But that was fine as I slowly focused and before I knew it.
ZIIP
I vanished into thin air, leaving no trace behind in this classroom besides pure confusion about my whereabouts.
But maybe not everyone was deceived by the act as Niklas looked right at the metal piece that I threw before I appeared at this place back again.
So he knows about the warping. No wonder since he saw the fight between me and Finn.
But that wasn’t why I vanished for a moment.
ZIIP
“What!?”
Because what I left behind was one metal piece right behind those three that tried to guard Niklas, only to be caught off guard by someone they had their guard down for this whole time.
“Alyssa! Now!”
“You don’t have…”
SWISH
SLICE
“...to tell me twice!”
And without even the slightest bit of hesitation, a trail of blood appeared in the air, drawing a beautiful arch that would have almost touched the ceiling. And with that blood flew two arms with it.
Everyone was shocked. Alyssa, someone that has never shown the kind of change as I did, someone that everyone thought to be normal was in fact an awakened as well.
And she just cut off two limbs like it was nothing to her. That commitment…
I should take her words more seriously in the future.
But that wasn’t important now. I had to do something first.
Fangs!
I called out the 27 blades that were hovering around my body only to scatter them into 9 smaller blades each and send them around the school building.
While I slowly lifted my right hand to the side, pointing my palm directly at the outside.
No. it wasn’t just the outside. It was pointing directly at where my home was.
Directly at…
“Keyser…”
A trail of light and the sound of thunder soon echoed throughout the class as a projectile no one wants to go against with was heading directly to the school building.
And then it stopped. Right before the barrier, hovering over the ground like it was waiting.
Waiting for the best moment to enter.
But it needs to stay outside for now.
Because the reason why I stayed outside for a moment was that I tried out warping myself out of this barrier. To be precise, warping myself to Keyser was what happened and the moment I found myself back at home meant that I can warp outside of this barrier filled with the power of souls.
But I’m not sure if it is because I have a 100% affinity with space or because I am doing something truly illogical with my warping but thinking about it more isn’t important.
The important part is that I can send everyone outside.
And I can get anyone I want inside.
And that was the reason why I split Fang into 81 pieces. So I can go around the school with it and bring anyone I can save outside the barrier.
“ARGH!!”
“FUCKING WHO-”
BOOM
“Not on my watch!”
How dare you call my junior a whore! I’ll beat the shit out of you so much that your mother nor the closest person to you will ever recognise you!
So with such thoughts, I sprinted to the two that just lost their arms all while I was calling Keyser. And now that they finally registered the pain and the loss of an arm, they turned immediately to Alyssa, who couldn’t defend herself for long against two level 5 [Discipulus] realm awakened.
Ladrao!
So with Ladrao in my right hand, I was almost ready to slice off his other arm of Frank but before I could do so, I was interrupted by Niklas as he was handling my short sword with what seemed to be a longsword.
CLANG
Until now, his face was one of someone who just felt pure fun. As if he was playing poker and knew exactly what the hell was going to happen next.
But now, it was one of anger. As if someone stole his happiness and replaced it with pure hatred.
“How… How the hell do you have a weapon outside! That wasn’t supposed to happen!”
“Supposed? You talk as if you knew.”
“Oh, please~! With your intellect, you should have guessed that I foresaw all of this by now! But your blade outside was out of the equation. A random variable that didn’t exist at all but now…”
“Now, you realise that I can just run around the school and get everyone outside while keeping you inside a barrier even you won’t be able to escape. And the moment you do, you most likely have to face off against the principal if not Akiko Eguchi.”
“I’ll kill you!”
CLING
Oops! I let go of Ladrao as it flew up into the air. But before Niklas’s sword pierce my current position.
ZIIP
I was now in the air, falling down smoothly.
ZIIP
“You alright?”
“Yeah. I wanted to take out a leg or two as well but I guess that is as far as my ability can boost me against level 5ers.”
“Don’t try to be a hero and do something reckless.”
“Says the right one~. I’m here only to protect you, darling!”
“Not now. For now.”
Skia, Orage, Stalker and Stahl. I took out three more weapons while wearing my now signature armour, making everyone that wasn’t involved in the fight look at me with amazement while those that were filled with even more rage.
But those gazes could all disappear for all I care.
I want only one thing now.
And that is to beat the crap out of these bastards.
“You ready?”
Alyssa’s ring started to shine and before anyone knew it, she was now clad in white armour and a fox mask that I had seen only a couple of days ago.
And with the grip around Regina tightening and the Will-filled runes shining brighter than a star, her Will was gushing out like a wild storm.
So now getting into the most comfortable stance with all the weapons in my hand, I prepared myself.
For a fight that I won’t forget for a very long time.
