‘Ugh…’ Jarret thought, giving the big Ass Guild made beacon one final last frustrated kick, just about ready to pack it in for the night, when suddenly with a whirling flash of red it burst to life.

‘Finally’, He thought, amazed, staring at the red light that had suddenly lit up on top of the dam machines hinds legs beside a variety of switches. ‘You finally work, after all this time, well praise the Divines it’s a yule miracle’ Jaret sarcastically thought, immediately pushing his right hand down onto the now flashing red button. A notification filling his eyes as he did so.

(Adventurer)Beacon 13333 detected would you like to turn this Beacon on

Y/N

‘Yes, of course, I damn would’ Jaret thought with a click of a finger pressing the Y button, the damn machine that had given him such trouble immediately turning on with a purring hum. A new notification replacing the old as it did so.

You have a call from Guildmaster Blade will you accept the charges (One hundred bronze mana coins)

Y/N

“Well I’ll be damned you survived!” said the guild master, Jaret accepting the call request immediately upon receiving it, the sight of the Guild-Master’s big red fat clustered cheeks moving being the first thing he saw. “Pleasant trip, see anything intresting out there?"

“Not really, sir,” Jaret said, not letting his guard down for a second around this man who held such power over him for a single second. “We did see some interesting tree’s though”.

“Oh, do tell, do tell, But first down business, now what do you have to report? And don’t leave out a detail….”, the Guild-Master said, leaning forwards, a predatory like look upon his face. “I want to hear everything”.

Jaret smiled. Now, this was the Guidmaster he knew and hated all too well. “Well, there’s quite a bit to the story”

“Well tell it man. Tell it” The Guildmaster swirled his hands, leaning further inwards as if to get a better view.

“Well it all started as you know at the….” Jaret said starting his story from where he’d last seen the guild master. Starting off from there and continuing on, intent on telling the Guild Master all he needed to kno

“Incredible! Incredible!” The guild master said, seemingly stunned by the revelations that Jaret had just unfolded. “And you're saying it’s a cardinal dungeon, are you certain” The guild Master said doubt clear as day showering through to his face.

“Yes sir” Jaret said not offended in the least by the Guildmasters words, Jaret himself having had the same reaction when he’d first realised the significance of this dungeon. “I’m certain, I analysed the core myself, sir”

“Hmmmm…” The guild-master mumbled with Jaret unable to make out if anything had been said from his side of the link.

“Sir” Jaret nervously said, filled with nerves as he said the words.

“Huh…,Yes?” The Guildmaster said looking up.

“Will this complicate things?" Jaret asked.

"Hmm, complicate things?" The Guidmaster said semmingly not getting what Jaret was driving at.

"With my promotion?” Jaret rapidly added.

“Huh, no, no, I don’t see why not,” The guild-master said, continuously looking up into Jaret's eyes, his face full of concentration yet his attention seemingly something else.

“It shouldn’t?” Jaret said worried by this statement

“Yes, there is a slight chance that you might not receive the job like I thought you would, Don’t worry, that properly won’t happen, the council….”

‘The council,’ Jaret thought, shocked, having not expected this matter to go such a high level of powers, so quickly, “There involved?”, He thought/said so shocked as he was by this sudden revelation that he invoterrly let his words slip, accidentally muttering the words out loud.

“Well yes, of course, there involved” The Guildmaster said having so overly over heard Jaret’s words, responding with his words in kind. “You didn’t think such a serious matter such as this would be dealt with by anyone else, did you?”

“Why no…” Jaret began only for the Guildmaster to ever so promptly cut him off.

“Why of course not my boy, Cardinal dungeons are no, joke," The Guildmaster ever promptly said. "Why there's only ever been 7 recorded instances of their discovery, this being the 8’th, with non, not including your recent discovery, belonging to our Guild. Do you realise how massive such a discovery to be to the guild, to the world at large. Huhhh...” The guild master sighed.

“So, Of course, you can imagine that the council will most likely want someone more shall we say experienced to run the show”. The guild-master said Jaret’s hopes beating to a halt. “But….” The guild-master added on. “These things take time…”

“Time?... Sir…..” Jaret said, adding in the sir as an afterthought, unsure what was going with him, his heart fast as it was now beating at a thousandth times the hour. ‘Why do I feel this way it’s not like I wanted to be the guild-master of this middle of nowhere anyway’.He thought already knowing the answer. ‘Because of its status of course’.

“Time, yes,” The Guildmaster said. “Yes. Time,” He said adding. “,It can take the council weeks and even months, sometimes even years to make any kind of substantial decision, and in the someone will have to run the show, so with no further prompts, I Guildmaster Blade of the 88’th Guild-branch of hall Cold Haven hereby promote Party leader,” The Giuldmaster said looking down at what could only be a sheet with his name upon it, Jaret assumed.

“Jarashietit major, Lord of stairs, Plaidan of light, to the rank of Hall-Leader with all the privileges and honour that come with it. And task him with creating the dungeon outpost of, Have you named it yet,” The Guild master asked, lifting up what appeared to be a full 3-page form.

“Ugh no, no, Sir, I have not…” Jaret replied, shocked by this sudden development, having ever since realized the significance of his find, having expected nothing but a pat on the back for his efforts.

“Well we’ll just have to change that, You say it’s full of bugs, right?”

“Yes, yes sir” Jaret said, replying to the Guild-Masters prompt question as fast as he possbly could.

“Hmm, then what it shall be called, ugh right I’ve got it all, now I have to repeat myself I…” The Guildmaster muttered, Jaret only just about making out the words even he began to go into his formal tone like voice yet again.

“I Guildmaster Blade of the 88’th Guild-branch of hall Cold Haven hereby promote,” The Guild- Master said not even gasping for breath as he continued. “, Promote Party leader Jarashietit major, Lord of stairs, Plaidan of light, to the rank of Hall-Leader with all the privileges and honour that come with it. And task him with creating the dungeon outpost over the so-called dungeon of Bugs” The guild master said, 2 twin notifications appearing over Ash’s eyes as he did so.

Thank you,” Jaret said his eyes filled to the brim with emotion. “I never thought this was possible,” He said, happy beyond his wildest dreams. ‘, I’ll still have to work for the Guildmaster, but at least I’ll have more autonomy now than I would ever have had as a Guild leader.’ Jaret thought excited for what was to come.

“Don’t thank me. Lad. You deserved it. I’m just sorry that’s this is all I can offer, without getting Guild-Lord Tomis or the council involved…”, The guild master added, adding a slur to his words when he spoke the esteemed Guild-Lords name.

“Why would you risk it then, what’s in it for you?” Jaret asked, more confused than ever. Having never known the Guild-Master to do things without reason. ‘No, No. There’s a purpose behind this, but does that really matter? No.No it doesn’t’ He suddenly realised.

“Nothing, there’s nothing in it for me,” the guild master said Jaret not believing a single word that came out of his mouth. “Anyway if there’s nothing more?” The Guildmaster asked looking straight at Jaret, Jaret Nodding as he said the words. “Then it’s time for me to be of” The Guildmaster said swiping his hand, the link ever so promptly cutting off as he did so.

‘Look’s like it’s just me’,
