《Soul Summoner in Isekai (LitRPG & System)》70. Succubus

"Hooooooo~!"
A hawkgirl fluttered its wings and slowly landed on a small hill and walked up next to the cloaked man.
Beside the cloaked man stood a goblin guard with a bandaged left hand and a large bow and arrow pouch on his back.
The cloaked man's brow furrowed slightly as he heard the Shadow Banshee's report.
"I thought they were led to the northern gate, how did they return? How did the humans find the group I sent to the south gate?"
The situation was somewhat unexpected for the cloaked man.
But now that it had happened, the cloaked man no longer dwelled on it.
"Hmph, I was thinking of having the main force sneak into the town through the south gate and hide out in the night.
Wait for the humans to think they've won, then launch a sneak attack while they sleep and rest.
But now that they've been discovered, let's just have a head-on confrontation!
Although the two hundred or so human professionals who came during the day disrupted my plans, there were likewise more than a hundred demon warriors on my side.
If I can take out so many human professionals head-on, how dare those guys laugh at the succubus' lack of fighting ability?"
The gale blew up the cloak of the cloaked figure, revealing the magic horns on its head, its towering breasts, its slender waist, and the long, slender tail behind its buttocks.
"You take the Slime King and attack the northern gate!"
The succubus issued a command before leaping up from the hillside, grabbing the flying hawkgirl's claws in mid-air and flying off in the direction of the south gate.
That side was the main battlefield, the human professionals on the north gate side were many but none of them were strong. They had been consumed by the slimes for half the night.
Now that all the guards and human mercenaries had rushed to the south gate. The north gate side only needed those fifty demonic creatures and the Slime King to deal.
"Roar!"
After the succubus left, the "hill" beneath her shook for a moment. Then humped the goblin archers and popped towards the north gate a short distance away with a group of not-so-little slimes.
......
The pressure on Anno's side increased after Rodney withdrew with his men.
But the timely arrival of Sunow and the others salvaged the situation slightly.
But although the fifty or so monsters were surrounded by nearly two hundred people and were caught in a one-to-few situation. They did not appear to be at a disadvantage for the time being.
On the one hand, it was because half of the two hundred or so adventurers had been fighting for a few hours now. With huge drains on their physical strength and magic power, many still had wounds on them.
And although the hundred or so who had just arrived were not injured, they were generally of a lower level than the adventurers who had fought.
And they had never fought monsters before either. They had insufficient combat experience.
On the other hand, it was because the monsters were already strong in combat, plus they were wearing defense gear, and their combat power was much more powerful than the adventurers of the same level.
A level 3 goblin fights hard against four adventurers of the same level.
However, these problems were for ordinary adventurers.
Anno and others are not in this category.
Shore, Lily, and Sunow were level 5 after fighting the one-eyed wind wolf.
Bande had also gone from level 2 to level 4 after the battle with the slime earlier. Unfortunately, the battle was so busy that he didn't even have time to use [Abstain from killing] to overtake souls.
However, the souls weren't wasted with Anno around.
Lu Yan and Chloe were still only level 2, slightly lower in rank.
But with the two of them working together, they could barely fight off a level 4 goblin!
As for Anno.
Right now he is the only other level 6 in the field.
If you asked Anno to take on 50+ goblins by himself, he definitely wouldn't do it.
But with so much friendly support, he was just killing around the field!
A few summoned wind wolves were able to pounce on a level 5 goblin in ten seconds under Anno's manipulation.
In less than two minutes, Anno had taken out eight goblins, a troll, and a dogfolk!
All were level 4 and 5 goblins.
It slowed down the pressure on the adventurers tremendously.
And Shore and Lily both killed a level 4 target as well.
A level 5 troll wielded a giant club and slammed it hard into a level 3 adventurer.
Xiao cut in from the side to knock the stunned adventurer off his feet, then raised his sword to block the big stick.
"Bang!"
Xiao's body was sent flying five meters away, and he spurted out a large mouthful of blood.
"Uncle Xiao, be careful!" Raguel
Raguel, who was saved by Xiao, saw Xiao land next to a goblin and hastily shouted a warning.
The goblin next to Xiao saw the former and slashed down with the short knife in its hand without hesitation.
But before its blade could fall, a wind wolf pounced from the side and wrestled with the goblin.
"Many thanks, President!" A flash of wild joy passed through Xiao's eyes.
He had just thought he was going to be done.

On the other side, Anno had just finished off a dogfolk. After letting the level 5 summoned wind wolf to save Xiao, he rode a level 6 wind wolf to rush towards the troll that had sent Xiao flying.
Anno's goal now was mainly to take care of the "thorn in the side".
When the two-meter tall troll saw Anno coming on his wind wolf, he smashed his big stick towards the wind wolf's head.
"Whoosh~!"
The Wind Wolf, who had leaped into mid-air to dodge, opened its mouth and spat out a wind blade.
The wind blade hit the troll's chest, leaving a bone-deep wound!
Anno didn't stay idle either, [High-Pressure Acid Burst] was aimed at the troll's head.
Although a few of them missed, one hit the ugly left side of the troll's face.
The troll who was corrupted by the acid covered his face with one hand and waved his huge stick in front of him with the other.
"[High-Level Perception], open!"
Jumping down from the wind wolf, he took the lance he had just picked up during the battle and attacked the injured troll at the same time as the wind wolf.
The troll who had gone berserk due to his injuries swung the rod with a rapid frequency.
But Anno was agile and with his perception skill on, the troll couldn't touch him at all and was soon poked with several holes in his body.
"Ow~"
Seeing a chance, the wind wolf pounced on the troll and used up his last ounce of magic power to launch a [Violent Bite] at the troll's throat.
"Bang!"
The troll before it died struck the wind wolf's head, knocking off nearly a hundred drops of its blood.
By now in the battle, the level 6 summoned wind wolf had also taken quite a few attacks on it, with less than eight hundred drops of blood left.
Obtain Troll Soul (White) x 1 Sacrifice Troll Fangs x 2, Hand, Soul to summon the Troll
This is the second Troll Soul Anno got.
Since the trolls are indeed good in battle, Anno now plans to summon one out.
Picking up an ax from the ground nearby that he didn't know had fallen, Anno walked over to the troll corpse and knocked off two fangs and cut off two more palms.
Just as Anno was about to summon the troll, he suddenly sensed a dark shadow coming toward him.
The range of [High-Level Perception] was a radius of twenty meters.
But the black shadow was extremely fast and hit Anno the next instant Anno perceived it.
"Pfft!"
Blood and flesh were torn through, and Anno's body was also taken flying out.
The level 6 wind wolf next to his immediately shielded Anno.
The three level 5 wind wolves that were hunting for monsters around them also rushed to Anno's side at the same time and surrounded him.
Anno, who was hiding behind the wind wolves, pulled out the arrow from his shoulder with pain and fear in his heart.
"If I hadn't turned on my perception just now and moved my body a little, this arrow would have shot me in the head!"
[Low-Level Self Healing] was activated. The bleeding at the wound immediately stopped, and it continued to heal.
"Gotta run!"
Facing a bowman, staying put was not a wise choice.
Anno rolled onto his back and mounted the wind wolf, his body instantly scampering away.
A second arrow shot from the shadows grazed the back of Anno's head and flew out.
"So accurate!"
Anno looked in the direction the arrow had come from but saw only darkness.
"How did it see me when I couldn't even see it?"
While Anno was thinking these questions, three other level 5 Wind Wolves had been dispatched by him to find the bowman.
After narrowly dodging an arrow again with the speed of the wind wolves, Anno simply blended in with the fighting crowd.
The goblin on the other side of the river, with a black light in his eyes as he drew his bow. Seeing Anno hiding in the crowd through his skill [Night Vision] and. With a low curse, he shifted his target to the other humans.
"Whoosh!" "Whoosh!"
Two arrows in a row, killing two humans!
But as it took out another arrow from its arrow pouch, it suddenly heard a movement next to it.
"Ow~"
The two wind wolves that swam to the other side of the river were the first to pounce after finding their target.
At the same time, Anno learned that the enemy was on the other side of the river.
With his consciousness distracted by one of the wind wolves, and under the observation of his passive [Five Vision Omnipotence], Anno learned the intelligence of this goblin.

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
