《Soul Summoner in Isekai (LitRPG & System)》57. Bloodbath with the One-Eyed Windwolf King
Advertisement
The blood raised an arc in the air.
Anno's body was like a kite with a broken string, tracing a curve in the air before falling heavily to the ground.
"Poof!"
Anno had just climbed up when he couldn't help but spurt out a large mouthful of fresh blood.
The wind blade spat out by the Wolf King easily sliced through Anno's flesh.
There was even a bone-deep wound on his left shoulder.
"Anno!"
The place where Anno had fallen happened to be not far from Liu Rongrong.
The latter ran to Anno's side with a panicked face and continuously used [Low-Level Healing Art] on Anno!
Although Liu Rongrong's talent [Spring Return] had a 10% healing bonus, the wound on Anno's shoulder was too serious.
Even after using the healing spell twice, it only managed to stop the bleeding.
The flesh buds at the wound were squirming and growing.
To heal, at least half an hour or more of recovery time is needed.
However, the Wolf King would not give Anno the time to recover peacefully.
When Liu Rongrong intended to use [Low-Level Healing Technique] for the third time, the Wolf King had already rushed to the front of the two!
"Get out!"
Anno, who had just come to her senses, pushed Liu Rongrong away and used the short sword in his hand to frame the wolf king's open mouth.
Snort!
Under the huge force of the Wolf King, Anno's body kept sliding back and her feet plowed two furrows in the ground.
Facing the one-eyed wolf at close range, Anno almost fainted from the stench exhaled from his opponent's mouth!
"HA~!"
Anno clenched her teeth as the wound on his left arm re-collapsed and blood flowed down his abdomen.
When Anno glanced at the Wolf King's raised right paw out of the corner of his eye, his eyelids couldn't help but jump a little.
His power was now suppressed and he couldn't dodge at all.
The three wind wolf summons were heading this way, but it was too late.
Just as Anno was about to resist this blow hard, an arcane spell ball once again sprang out from the side.

"Boom!"
The wolf king's body was knocked away by the power of the spell ball's explosion.
Anno took the opportunity to take a few steps backward, and the three summoned Wind Wolves took the opportunity to approach the One-Eyed Wolf King.
Although the Wolf King was hit by the arcane spell ball, it only lost 100 blood points except for the burnt fur where it was hit.
For the Wolf King that still had 1200 blood left, 100 blood was not much.
"Roar!"
When the Summoned Wind Wolves approached the One-Eyed Wolf King, the One-Eyed Wind Wolves let out a low roar and did not hesitate to open their mouths and tear at the three Summoned Wind Wolves.
Although the intelligence of magical beasts was not high, they also knew how to avoid bad luck.
The Wolf King had just witnessed the death of three of its subordinates.
Now the three Wind Wolves were not its subordinates, but enemies!
"Hoo~Hoo~!"
With the Wolf King being entangled, Anno finally had a chance to breathe.
However, now was not the time to relax.
The three summoned Wind Wolves were no match for the Wolf King, and they couldn't hold out for long.
And the battle situation around them was not good either.
Shore, covered in blood, slashed one wind wolf, but Anno's two remaining summoned dogfolks were both killed by the wind wolves - and bowman goblin was bitten to death by the wind wolves not long after the summoned ratman died.
Now, a total of three Wind Wolves are besieging Shore!
"Shore!"
For Shore who saved himself from goblin's clutches, Sunow always had a special affection in her heart.
At this moment, seeing him under siege and in danger, Sunow instantly got anxious.
The staff in his hand waved, and an arcane spell ball formed!
Just as Sunow was about to support Shore, he heard a loud roar from the latter.
"Sunow, don't mind me, help Anno first!"
At the time of saying this, Shore had just been slapped from behind by a wind wolf.
Shore quickly got up from the ground, never letting go of the short blade in his hand.

Although the blood blurred his vision, Shore knew very well in his heart.
Although the three wind wolves are powerful, he can still hold off now.
And if Anno's side loses, no one will survive!
That Wolf King, more powerful than ordinary wind wolves, must be a level 6 monster.
When he saw that two of the three wind wolves were ready to turn around and go to Liu Rongrong and Sunow, Shore immediately stopped in front of the wind wolves, his eyes were red and he said, "Bastards, I haven't had my fun yet, where to run?
After the wounded Shore turned on Berserk, his aura changed dramatically.
The three wind wolves obviously felt that the human in front of them had become stronger.
But, the Wolf King's order was for them to kill all the humans here.
"Ow~!"
The three wind wolves let out a long whistle and pounced on Shore at the same time.
"Come and fight!"
Shore in [Berserk] state advanced instead of retreating and fought with the wind wolves.
On the other side, Sunow bit her lip when she heard Shore's words.
The arcane spell ball coalesced in front of his wand and eventually flew towards the Wolf King.
"Roar~!"
The Wolf King, which had been blasted by the arcane spell ball before and had a bald patch of fur, hurriedly jumped away to the side at this time.
Its scarlet eyes glared at Sunow in the distance and opened its mouth to spit out a wind blade!
Sunow was unable to dodge and was hit by the wind blade on his thigh.
Blood instantly stained Sunow's pants!
"Damn it!"
Seeing Sunow fall to the ground, Anno let out a low curse and took the initiative to rush towards the Wolf King that broke through the siege of the three summoned wind wolves.
Anno's attack did little damage to the one-eyed wind wolves.
And Sunow's magic could cause injuries to the Wolf King, which must be higher than his damage.
Anno risked stopping the Wolf King just to keep the Wolf King from getting close to Sunow!
While Anno was using the three summoned Wind Wolves to tangle with the Wolf King, Liu Rongrong ran to Sunow's side and tried to heal the latter.
"Wait!"
Sunow took a look at Shore and Anno who were caught in a bitter battle, and said with pain: "The wound on my leg doesn't affect me to use magic, you save some magic power to save others!"
Liu Rongrong, with tears in the corners of his eyes, nodded heavily.
"Arcane spell ball!"
Sunow noticed that Anno was slapped by the Wolf King again, and took the opportunity to aim at the Wolf King.
"Boom!"
The unnoticed Wolf King was blown down by the spell ball, and the fur on his body went bald again!
The Wolf King's red eyes flashed and opened its mouth to spit out a wind blade.
Bang!
Anno, who cut in from the side, jumped to mid-air and kicked the Wolf King in the head.
Whoosh!
The wind blade swept past the side of both Liu Rongrong, and the gale swept up their hair.
"Damn it, all bite it!"
The moment Anno landed on the ground, three summoned Wind Wolves leaped up from behind him and pounced on the Wolf King with their mouths wide open.
The Wolf King was kicked, and before his body could stand still, he felt a sharp pain coming from his left front leg, neck, and abdomen.
"Ow~!"
The Wolf King felt the pain and rolled its body while opening its big mouth full of fangs and biting a summoned wind wolf in front of it.
The [Violent Bite] of the Wolf King was several times stronger than the [Bite] of an ordinary wind wolf.
The Summoned wind wolf that was biting the Wolf King's thigh was directly bitten off its neck!
In Anno's vision, one of his summons had zero life value.
The other two, both were flung away by the Wolf King.
However, the Wolf King was not suffering well either.
The three places where it was bitten were gurgling and bleeding, and its life value was dropping swiftly!

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.

Like tragedy, with a twist of Comedy, and a touch of Badassery Apart from that, The story starts off terribly, but I promise it will get better... (since I started getting better at writing)

A Nation of Distances (possibly a dystopian love story)
Michael lives in a toxic macho world with extreme male hierarchy. When he gets a weird rating that makes his place even more problematic he's forced to choose a fiancée at a Wife School, and he slowly discovers more about the other side of the great divide between the sexes in The Nation. If only the world would stop being so complicated... On the other side there's Megan, who's more interested in books than in marriage, and the unpredictable Eliza who seems to have a connection with Micheal already. Will they be able to cross the distance and become friends against all the rules of their own world, or will they just be crushed? Are positive relationships between men and women even possible? And is there a way to change the world or is that just a naive thought of a silly wimp? 'A Nation of Distances' is a slightly dystopian dialogue-heavy drama set in a low sci-fi future setting about the war between the sexes, disconnect and friendship. The genre will fluctuate in between more slice-of-life parts and soft sci-fi drama with possible romantic elements, with alternating lead and switching perspectives once more of the main characters are established. Content Warning: Certain concepts and scenes might be disturbing and/or triggering to some, even though the story itself won't be extremely heavy most of the time. Sexism as a double-edged sword destructive to both sexes is an important part of the story, but so is friendship.Note that all descriptions of persons and places are purely fictional and made up by the writer, and any resemblance with anything in the real world is a coincidence, since the real world is not supposed to be dystopian anyway!
