《Soul Summoner in Isekai (LitRPG & System)》35. The hunter god

At the entrance of the manor, there were two wolf dogs - they should be wolf dogs - squatting on the left and right, watching the passing crowd.
Anno squatted at the door and observed for a while, and found that there were still many people coming in and out.
Among them, there are many professionals.
"Should be back to learn skills!"
Anno stood up and walked towards the Hunter's House.
When they were about to reach the gate, the two wolf dogs who had been squatting at the gate suddenly stood up and barked at Anno.
This situation not only shocked Anno but also the professionals passing by were stunned.
"What happened to Shuke and Beta, it's the first time I've seen this happen!"
A hunter with a bow and quiver on his back and a hatchet around his waist followed the eyes of the two dogs and found Anno who was frightened.
"Newbie?"
When Anno saw someone asking him, he relaxed his vigilance and nodded toward the other party.
If it wasn't for the two dogs just barking and not rushing up, Anno would be ready to launch [High-Pressure Acid Burst].
No wonder Anno was surprised, mainly because he had observed it before, and the level of the two dogs could not be seen at all.
This shows that their level is at least level 6!
"Are you here to find Mentor Walton! Come on, I'll take you there, just in time for me to drop by!"
The hunter walked over to Anno with a familiar face, put his arms around Anno's shoulders, and said with a smile, "Introduce myself, my name is Mark Jason, you can call me Mark!"
Mentor Walton is one of the mentors of the hunter profession in Valcam City!
"Hello, Senior Mark! My name is Anno!"
Anno smiled awkwardly, pointed to the grinning watchdog, and asked, "Then if I go in and find Mentor Walton now, will they attack me?"
"Hahaha, don't worry. You'll be fine!" Mark walked to the two dogs and squatted down, comforting them.
After a while, the two dogs, whom Mark called Shook and Beta, fell silent.

Anno watched in amazement from the side.
"Communication with beasts is a hunter's skill!"
Mark explained to Anno aside: "Shuke and Beta are the pets of Walton's mentor.
But don't underestimate them, these two guys have level 10 strength! "
"Level 10!" Anno's heart skipped a beat.
Encountering a level 6 Hatchet Goblin, Anno has nothing to do.
If the level 10 pets in front of him really have malice towards Anno, he is afraid they will be able to solve the battle in an instant!
Of course, Anno is the one that gets dealt with!
Along the way, Mark enthusiastically told Anno a lot about the hunter's house and praised Anno for choosing to become a hunter.
Mark led Anno to a large hall in the center of the manor, pointed to it, and said, "At this point, instructor Walton should be inside. You can go in now. I have something else to do, so I'll go first."
With that said, Mark walked into a building next to the main hall.
"Hunter Palace!"
After Anno thanked Mark, he looked up at the main hall, then pushed the door and walked in.
As soon as the door was opened, Anno saw a female statue with a height of five meters in front of it!
The statue carries a long bow and a short knife around the waist, dressed as a hunter.
In front of the statue, three more people are bending over to pay homage.
Anno glanced to the side and saw a bearded middle-aged hunter staring at him.
"Close the door!"
Walton's heavy voice came, Anno walked in hastily, turned around, and closed the door.
Afterward, Walton motioned for Anno to wait beside him for a while.
Anno had no choice but to walk to Walton's side and quietly observe the three worshippers.
After about three minutes, Anno saw a surprising scene.
The three people who visited the shrine suddenly exuded different degrees of white light!
The white light on the middle person is more dazzling, and the light on the other two is much weaker.
Seeing this, Walton nodded in satisfaction.

"Very good, Artemis, the god of hunters, has responded to you, and you have the qualifications to become hunters!"
He pointed to the person with the brightest light on his body and said, "Your talent is very strong, I hope you don't waste your talent, practice diligently, and quickly become an official hunter!
Next, I will teach you basic skills.
The day you learn it will be when I give you the Hunter Seal! "
The three of them showed joy on their faces, quickly thanked them, and waited by the side.
At this time, Walton looked at Anno and asked, "If you choose to be a hunter, you must worship the god of hunters and respect Artemis all your life. Are you ready?"
"Artemis, the god of hunters!"
Anno looked up at the statue and nodded.
Before he came, he had already done his homework.
Every profession corresponds to a god.
Only those who are recognized by the gods have the potential to learn skills.
A person who has not recognized means that this person does not have the potential to become a professional at all and needs to try another profession.
There are six occupations.
In theory, anyone can choose one of them as a career!
The final choice is mainly based on compatibility.
If a person has a strong physique but less magic power, although he can choose to become a magician, the growth rate must be very slow.
If you choose warriors, knights, etc., the training speed is much faster.
On the other hand, if a thin person wants to become a warrior, it is estimated that even the weight of the armor can't bear it!
That's compatibility!
"I'm ready!"
Anno answered loudly.
Walton nodded, led Anno to the statue, and said, "Memorize the name of Artemis in your heart. Within five minutes, the god of hunters will respond to you!"
After speaking, he stepped back to the side just like before.
Anno didn't delay, closed his eyes, paid homage to the statue, and kept thinking of Artemis in his heart.
Time passed by minute by minute.
Anno didn't know how many times he recited his name, but he didn't feel any change in his body, nor did he hear Walton's voice to stop him, he could only call out the name of the Hunter God over and over again.
Beside.
Walton looked at Anno's back and frowned.
The three people who received Artemis' response just now walked up to Walton, and one of them asked carefully: "Mr. Walton, ten minutes have passed, and the hunter god has not responded. It seems that this person cannot become a hunter."
"Ah~!"
Walton sighed and shouted to Anno, "It's alright!"
Anno walked up to Walton in confusion and asked suspiciously, "Is this all right?"
"Child, you didn't get a response from the god of hunters, you can't be a hunter! Choose another profession!"
"What?"
Anno didn't expect that it would be such an answer!
After all the calculations, he didn't even consider that he didn't have the talent to become a hunter!
"Although this situation is rare, you are indeed the type of person who cannot be a hunter at all. The god of hunters did not protect you!"
......
Anno didn't even know how he got out of the hunter's house.
According to Walton, he has been a mentor for so many years, and he has seen people who are gifted and radiant when they visit the shrine.
He has also seen low-talented hunters with only weak fluorescence.
But he has never seen a man with no light on his body.
This is someone completely abandoned by the hunter god!
"Poor child!"
Anno recalled Walton's last words and the ridicule in the eyes of the three people next to him and smiled bitterly.
"Since I can't become a hunter, try other professions."
Anno is not discouraged.
Anyway, the main reason to choose the hunter is to cover up the summons.
Since he couldn't become a hunter, Anno set his sights on the knight!

Dispatches from the Inter-galactic
Dispatches From The Inter-Galactic is a series of loosely related satirical stories which take place in a galaxy full of various interstellar civilizations and numerous space faring species generally described as consentients. This series is set in a galaxy which take place in a similar but not entirely unlike the galaxy in which my series Up in Space takes place While there are numerous themes related to interstellar life, several of the stories directly relate to specific themes such as; The pan-galactic ramifications to the use of supersymetrical energy sources (often drained from intera-located alternate and pocket realities.) the use of which by most interstellar civilizations is steadily increasing the overall amount of Dark Matter. This is increasing the mass of the galaxy and results in the occasional rips in inter-dimensional space as well as an overall increase in supernova activity. It is also speeding up the approach of the galaxy in Andromeda, which is of concern to several long lived civilizations; The Morphoids, a race of shape-changing consentients who are capable of using the space lanes created by the use of supersymetrical sourced energy to spread throughout the galaxy. They are currently viewed as threat number one by many space-faring species; and Xeno and exo-sexuality, as many species try to figure out what sort of enjoyment they can have with many of the species they encounter in space (only some of which are carbon-based, or more rarely, humanoid in appearance). This also relates to the altering of species to make reproduction somewhat easier for those with rather complicated lifestyles. A major force in this area of pursuit is the galactic visiteering industry, which promotes the ‘uplifting’ of more primitive planet-bound near-consentients.
