The deviant charged. I ducked and held up Autarch’s Defiance, but it screeched to a halt. It looked down and tried to stomp on me, but I held up a scale from the previous deviant, which its attack, powered by 730,000,000,000,000 newtons only scratched.

I should really get an armor made with these scales.

I summoned a rainbow shield and covered it in those scales. The deviant couldn’t break it.

I took a scale with a sharp edge and cut a small chip of this deviant’s scale.

I fell forward.

The deviant tried to bite me, but I held up a scale. It couldn’t break through the scale.

“Did you like the taste of that?” I yelled.

The deviant slowly stood up.

I jumped over the deviant, swinging Autarch’s Defiance twenty-three times.

When I landed, I created a huge crater. From the crater, I went back to my mage origins by afflicting it.

“Rot away, dead body. Sweet sleep of death, step forth. Your luck will suffer. Mine is the judgement, and the judgement is death or life. Death. Ice of outside is nothing, so ice from within shall arize. Freeze, bloodless one.”

It charged. I hastily fed some scales into my rainbow flask, summoning a wall of scales to continue my bombardment.

I first hit it with a few lever arrows and explosive arrows, then used one of the new gold-category afflictions.

“The end of Vitae is rot.”

The deviant was clearly mad that I had blocked its regeneration by replacing it with rotting its cuts, so it started biting its cuts, making it sick, while hitting the wall with its claws.

“Rot and frost are inevitable.”

It couldn’t bite its cuts, because whenever it tried, ice got in the way. “You will forget all with Alzhimer’s,” I muttered every few minutes.

After three hours of me draining its health, it collapsed to the floor, dead. I took its scales, putting a few in my flask, and finally started the seventh round.
