《One Versus Destiny》Chapter 74: Conquest Versus Tribulation

One set of anomalies looked like clowns. Another set looked like prison guards. Another set looked like demon dogs. I dispatched them all.
I was a ruthless killing machine, not sparing even anomalies that begged for mercy in my slaughtering conquest.

I was standing on a mountain of corpses with a sword in hand, people running at me with weapons. I was killing them all.
After some time, I stopped killing them. When I was about to die, the vision stopped.
I realized that there would have to be tribulations. If there weren’t, planets with progenitors who had gone off-world, like Earth, would easily pass the integration challenges.
Boss Challenge
Boss Reward: 50 Spatial Cores
A quick scan showed me this:
Baby Spatial Deviant: Silver: Level 1
The spatial deviant, the terror of all spatial anomalies and spatial masters. This young deviant is only level one, but that does not mean it is weak. A deviant can easily tackle higher-categories due to its impressive attributes.
100,000,000 Silver-category health
200,000,000 Silver-category mana
10,000 Silver-category defense
50,000 Newtons
100,000 KPH max speed
The perception racial gift had upgraded. I did a quick reconnaissance, showing that the deviant was basically an armored pegasus with the teeth of a tyrannosaurus rex. I noticed a slight chink in its armor over its navel. I focused mana into my finger.

Gritting my teeth, I let the mana go.
A blue bolt flew out of my finger. It hit the deviant right in the chink.
With a huge explosion, dust flew up. I flew backwards from the impact.
It had worked better than I thought it would. I was expecting a small scratch, but the whole legs of the deviant had flown off. The excitement was short-lived, however, as the legs reattached themselves.
I did, however, notice a chink in the armor.
The deviant screeched in pain. I realized that if it kept growing back legs, I wouldn’t be able to kill it before my endurace ran out. “Rot away, dead body.”
I shot another bolt at it. Its legs flew back on, but fungus got caught inside it. It started biting its leg, which was lucky, as I was dangerously low on mana. I drank a mana potion.
Really, Arjun? I asked myself. You should get a skill to do that before doing it. You are the mighty lion. Do not falter.
I jumped off the roof of a rainbow building. During the plummet, I pulled my sword out of its scabbard. I had bought another sword for times without magic.
Autarch’s Defiance
The mighty Autarch never faltered, allowing him to reach his true might. In the same way, the wielder of this sword will defy all threats, no matter the power. Strength to the mighty Autarch. This weapon will create a ripple in space, scaring spatial apparations.
I swung the sword, creating a ripple in space itself. The spatial deviant fell backwards, clearly scared by Autarch’s Defiance.
I drove the hilt into the chink in its armor. I turned the sword at an angle so that it hit the deviant’s chin.
I summoned my sword of death. Claws sprang out of the deviant’s paws.

Sword against claw, they clashed over and over. However, the lion emerged victorious.
I stood over the dying deviant. My sword was raised, ready to cull the deviant at a moment’s notice.
As the deviant bled out, Autarch’s Defiance started to shake. It flew out of my hand and started sucking up the deviant’s blood.
You have passed tribulation 1/10.
I started another slaughter of the anomalies. I easily passed the body tribulation, which was just basically a bronze-category whip.
Child Spatial Deviant: Silver: Level 2
The spatial deviant, the terror of all spatial anomalies and spatial masters. This young deviant is only level two, but that does not mean it is weak. A deviant can easily tackle higher-categories due to its impressive attributes.
400,000,000 Silver-category health
2,700,000,000 Silver-category mana
100,000,000 Silver-category defense
500,000,000 Newtons
950,000 KPH max speed
