《One Versus Destiny》Chapter 41: Back to Earth-But in Russia

After six hours, I arrived.
***
We were all worried. Arjun hadn’t called us today.
***
I then realized the pandemic had begun fifteen minutes ago. The portal had created a random rainbow house on some rich guy’s balcony in Moscow. I wondered what had happened. At that moment, someone called out in Russian, “Vladimir! Come here! There’s a rainbow cottage on our balcony!” The man called Vladimir said, “Vladmir, this is odd. I’ll have to call the police.”
The police came. They didn’t know what to do. The president of Russia was walking by, and he saw the house. I came out, and said, in Russian, “I came here from a planet called Glassfay, but for some reason it didn’t go to Chennai, which was where I intended for it to go, but Moscow for some reason.” Vladimir Putin believed me when I conjured my cloak and glided off towards Chennai. I stopped at around eleven pm, and conjured a rainbow house with wheels. I was close to Khabarovsk.
The next day I reached Shanghai, but some people thought I was an alien, and tried attacking me. I just picked them up, put them in a tree, and went along. In Shanghai, I teleported up a skyscraper and put a rainbow house there. I heard some people shouting in Mandarin, “Aliens!”
The police came. I said, “Let me stay here for the night. I’ll go tomorrow.” They let me stay, and The president of China himself came out to Shanghai. He said, “Alien, what are you doing? Get out of China immediately. I didn’t. I said, “Let me stay in China for one night, or else.” He didn’t.
“Freeze, Bloodless one.” He then had cardiac arrest. I kicked him to a hospital, where they took a year to get him back on his feet, because they didn’t know what caused it.

I then slept in peace, blasting out my soul, but only to keep people away. It was insanely weird. I then set off for Chennai at four am.
I kept going until I reached the himalayas. I teleported to the top of mount everest, which is where I spent my night. I then started gliding, seeing all sorts of scenic things. I stopped at the border of Bhutan and India that night.
I then crossed the border between India and Bhutan, and set off towards Chennai. At around noon, I reached Kolkata. I then set off into the Bay of Bengal. I had reached Patna at nine am and Rachi at ten am. In the Bay of Bengal, I felt a wind to the east. I looked and saw an Indigo jet. I pushed it so hard it reached Port Blair much faster than it was supposed to.
***
I was just a random passenger on a flight from Bangalore to Port Blair, when I saw a person flying towards us with a cloak. I told the crew, when suddenly, the plane got a huge lurch, throwing it to above Veer Savarkar International Airport. The captain came on, and said, “What the heck was that? Anyways, we are above Veer Savarkar International Airport.” I said, “I saw some guy with a cloak flying towards the plane. He might be a real-life superhero.”
We then landed, and when we got off, me and the pilot told the story to the owner of Indigo airlines. The owner was very intrigued, I could tell by the way he looked. I was soon getting requests from all the news outlets. NPR, ABC, CBS, TOI, WSJ, you name it, I got them.
***
I kept flying towards Chennai. At around six pm, I was over Port Blair. I kept going until I found the place I was looking for. I then slept there. The next day, I headed west. With a good tailwind, I reached in about four hours. I then went into my rainbow house in my family’s complex and started training. When I started, only one power was at silver-my cloak, presumably from gliding.

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.

The Rift of Syn Doa
Every twenty-six years a rift opens, connecting the Ursei and Shirrah realms. Inside that rift, a magical ore can be found and harvested. This magical ore is capable of granting magic to any species or extraordinary abilities to crafted goods. Both realms fight fiercely over the rare substance, but war is not the only danger. The Doa Shrykes, feral monsters with a voracious taste for blood, await them inside the rift as well. This is a WIP, and subject to change, reorder, and future edits. Upon completion, there is intent to publish. Cover art will change as well. Any suggestions/recommendations, comments, rearrangements, etc. are much appreciated, since I'm trying to beat this into shape and have it be the best it can be. :D
