There were nights where we could sense silver-category monsters outside, and because we couldn’t fight them off with the rainbow house’s defenses until bronze-category, we slept in my soul house if they had gold-category soul strength. The rainbow stuff felt like cotton compared to cotton, so everyone preferred it. We had to live off coins, only eating a tiny amount every day. The rations of food I brought were mostly for when someone reached a higher category. Bob was closest. I was not far behind him, and Aryav was kind of far.
