"Where is our backup!" Suvorian roared, "Someone message Treese and tell him to send more men here now!"
All of them suddenly felt a large explosion coming from the outside. All the doctors and nurses panicked as they looked out the window to see a masked assailant annihilate three full companies of guards and a fully armored convoy. "Where did that thing come from?"
"The guards said it came out of the chemical vats."
"Which one?" Suvorian approached the nurse who spoke. "Which one?!"
"From the venom vats, Doctor."
"Captain Brody, tell your men to get the chemical tranquillizer guns and fill them with suppressor sedatives in the next room! Sonny, connect the fire suppressant systems to the sedative tank! The water will make it less potent, but it should saturate the area and affect the attacker long enough for the captain to take it down!"
Everyone did as they were told and once the scientists finished connecting the tank, they turned on the fire system, and the whole interior of the compound was drenched with the sedative. The guards set up another firing line inside and prepared an ambush against the attacker.
Aysha ran inside and passed by them all as she told the guards the attacker was coming. They ushered her upstairs to where the rest of the scientists were, then turned off the lights and waited in darkness. When the masked killer came in, the sedative was still pouring out of the sprinklers, and slowly it started to take effect. The attacker’s skin, which was bright red, began to cool down, and Captain Brody fired his tranquillizer dart straight at it.
He was surprised when the dart landed on the attacker’s skin and let out a loud scream of pain.

"It’s vulnerable! Pour it on him!"
Every single one of them fired and landed darts all over the attacker. The darts stood on its skin like quills as it roared and screamed in pain. It started to work, but not fast enough, as it still had the energy to rip them apart and kill every single guard in the room.
Brody fired five more darts straight into the attacker’s chest and arms, but it still managed to get close to him, grab him by the neck and crack his windpipe, killing him. It roared in anger when it finished killing every single guard on the lower floor.

Suvorian and the nurses heard a loud roar coming from the floor below them. There were forty people in the room, and ten of them were guards armed with the chemical guns as well. They barricaded the door once Aysha ran in and set up their last defensive line behind it.
"Something is wrong." Suvorian said. "I can’t hear anything."
Suddenly, the door was rammed, causing the barricade to buckle. The scientists huddled as the guards tightened their grip on their guns. It was rammed repeatedly while the scientists tried to find another exit off the second floor but found that they were trapped. One tried to jump off the building, but it was too high and he only killed himself as he fell.
The door burst open, and the masked murderer came in. The attacker was covered in darts and charged at the guards who held their ground. It started to slow down as the effects of the sedative finally kicked in, and the guards noticed this as well. They repeatedly fired more darts into the attacker, which finally seemed to stop it in its tracks.

Elizabeth was still bound to the steel bed. She watched as all the doctors and nurses panicked around her as they barricaded the door. It was rammed from the outside, and when it finally broke open, she saw it.

Elizabeth will never forget the masked murderer that killed Jasper and Kinney.
She remembered the mask that was shaped like a human skull with sharp fangs instead of teeth and eyes that were darker than coal, with its head crowned with two horns. It was the one who killed Jasper and Kinney, and now it is here to kill her.
The child screamed with all the strength she had.

Luna almost regained her senses. Her body was incredibly stiff and even walking alone burned her mind and muscles. The moment she rammed through the door, all her senses painfully surged into her. When she saw Elizabeth in the middle of the room, surrounded by doctors and nurses wearing Chimera emblems, and attached to a fiendish looking machine, her nightmare and her past flashed in her eyes, and Luna lost control.
She charged blindly and mortally struck down everyone around her. In her eyes, all she saw was blinding crimson and white. The doctors and nurses pleaded for their lives, but Luna showed no mercy. Raw anger and maddening hatred blinded her as she violently killed every single person she could get her hands on.

Aysha quickly freed Elizabeth from her restraints while the attacker was distracted.
"Hurry this way!"
The exit was blocked when the attacker threw a large device in front of it. All Aysha could do was hide Elizabeth in a corner behind some crates which only the child could fit through. Aysha managed to conceal the child before a metal spike came out of the nurse’s chest. She was impaled at the back and was thrown by the masked assailant across the room like a ragdoll. The masked killer continued its rampage and executed every single person as violently as it could. It threw one doctor across the room and straight at the crates where Elizabeth was hiding.

By the end of her slaughter, the room was covered in death. The gamey smell of blood flooded the room. The walls were coated with crimson, pulpy masses of organs on every surface. Luna heard a noise coming from a metal locker. She violently pushed it down, and Suvorian was thrown out of it.

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?

Demonizing Matters
A high fantasy drama about a young woman who finds out a demon secret. This secret sparks a growing conflict between demons and humans. While trying to save her own life and dealing with the unexpected consequences of her actions, she falls in love with a hated demon. We follow the drama of Lita, alongside a cast of several other POV characters, as she discovers secrets (both open and purposefully hidden), makes well intentioned but sometimes disastrous decisions, and encounters prejudices and truths. Demons may be evil… or not. Humans may be good… or not. God is aloof… or not. Publishing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is my first real work! Super excited to be publishing! I don’t spend a lot of time describing gore, sex, trauma or any other type of scene that would be labeled as mature. I've labeled the story as mature in every way more because I don't quite understand the standard and don't know if I've crossed the line at all (and I'd rather be safe than get my story rejected for under labeling ;)). Mostly I hint, start the scene then interrupt/fade out, and in general let the reader know it happens but without making it too explicit. (I’d love to hear how I did on this! And if it was still entertaining/informative without being traumatizing.) This is what I prefer to read myself so that’s what I write. I’m not apologizing. ;) If I mislabeled my mature content it was by accident. And, yes, the pacing was also on purpose. Beyond that, I welcome any feedback you want to give! Enjoy the story!

Matthias is a struggling writer finally able to move into his first solo apartment.
