NAME Akihito Reiki LEVEL 1 RACE Human CODE NAME NONE CLASS NONE TITLE NONE HEALTH 500/500 MANA 275/275 AGILITY 250 STRENGTH 250 STAMINA 250 INTELLIGENCE 250
Reiki couldn't believe his eyes, if this were a dream he would never want to wake up again. But before he took a good look at his status screen he looked at himself using a mirror. His hair was Jet black unkempt and scraggly, Reiki thought. I'm here, I'm actually here! He was neither fat nor scrawny, his toned muscles were the result of doing Kendo and Martial arts daily, at first it was just to kill some time, but now he was thankful for it. He first noticed it when he was young but he was tall compared to his children his age.
Especially when the average height in Japan was only 160.3cm (5 foot 2) when he was fully grown he was around 5 foot 11, Reiki thought. Is this due to my father being an American? After Reiki finished admiring himself, he noticed something with his status screen as it bothered him. He thought. What's with my health and mana? 500 health and 275 mana?
With Reiki’s gaming knowledge in games, he thought about his current status. If I remember correctly, health and mana were supposedly a combination of stats. In some games with stats like this, it should have reached the 4,000 threshold… I can't be too hasty to judge, I don't even know the game mechanics and the rules of this world… I need to be careful if anyone were to see these stats they'll see me as a future threat and kill me on the spot along with my family… Right now I need information and lots of it along with how magic works… Especially the principles of magic…
Reiki went into deep reflection as he crossed his arms and continued his train of thought. Is there some sort of incantation needed to cast magic? And if there's some sort of incantation can you shorten it? I would preferably use chantless magic, but I'm getting ahead of myself… The most important thing I need to know is can you apply science with magic? In novels and manga, the MC's that were dragged to another world would use magic as they were taught to them by a Master or were already given heaven-defying magic.
But they've never really tried to apply science with magic or tried to understand magic itself. The four elements should be Fire, Wind, Earth, and Water and every form of magic always comes with an element's properties. Creating a water shield will protect you from a fire attack so it should result in using less mana, minute but wait if I tried to…
"Hey, Kid." Kronos shouts but deep in thought I only realized when the pain was burning on my cheek did Kronos just slap me? "Now do I have your attention?" Kronos said in a monotone voice as if he's deciding to just rewind time back to where I was falling from to my death. "Y-yeah, sorry about that. I was thinking about my stats and what happens if I level up." Reiki said in a somewhat panicked tone, it's best I don't piss off any kind of Gods, especially ones with short tempers
Kronos didn't say anything he only thought. Poor kid must have been through hell before I reversed time, he was the picture of skin and bones and his eyes were completely devoid of life. Whatever happened to him was brutal, how did this young and healthy 10 y/o turn into that? Adding the fact that he long lost the will to live a few moments ago he looks like a different person now. "If you really want to admire something, admire your little "Admiral" you'd be surprised what size he is now consider it my apology from our first meeting."

Reiki took a peek, but to his surprise, it completely transformed now he can enjoy having sex with women and women would want him Reiki thought just imagined what the "Admiral" will look like when he was 16 y/o and full of hormones.
"Well enough chatter you're in luck they said I should teach you some things and impart some knowledge and give you the ability to speak all the race's language. Consider yourself lucky kid, I haven't seen this treatment in a few Eons." Kronos said in monotone it's as if he has something else he'd rather do. "Alright on that note, I'll explain a few things, and I'll say this in advance too not all races are equal. Not everyone is blessed in this world case's of suicide is common in every race and continent."
"A human born with a frail constitution has a set health of 75 plus what they have in their stamina. The stat a human child has in stamina is about 5 or so, someone with a frail constitution has about 80 health. A child with a normal constitution has a 100 health adding the 5 stat points in stamina it totals in 105. A child like you who's trained with kendo and martial arts has a health pool of 250, adding your stats to your health totals at a monstrous 500 health at level 1."
"Mana also works in a similar way humans with mana ranging 7-13 can only use magic to strengthen themselves. Are usually warriors instead of magic they use techniques and martial arts to make up for it, with the most dangerous ones being Berserkers. Unlike regular warriors, berserkers use their health to use skills and have a ton of health and have high health regen, they may only be a small handful but each one of them cannot distinguish friend or foe once they start their killing spree."
"You should be well aware how dangerous a warrior type class can be with the right skills and equipment, humans with mana ranging 40-70 are usually a Guardian as you they take aggro and are sturdy and high health unlike Berserkers with high health regen. But if you were to their health to a full-fledge Guardian their health is at least 3x a single Berserker, they may not have a strong burst of power but they are armed with a crapload of defense skills add a healer to the mix making them almost unkillable and lastly, the maximum mana of a level 1 human is only 90. And that's adding the 25 mana from your race's affinity of magic."
Before Reiki spoke, he decided to raise his hand a bit to indicate I have something to ask. "Wait a minute you just said that the human race has a small affinity with magic, so we get 25 mana by default, but how come you're telling me that some people have mana ranging from 7-13?" I asked Kronos about it, if this is something about genetic constitution then maybe this group of people was just the average joe or possibly even a farmer with this in mind the Kronos looked at me as if he was looking at a complete idiot.
"If you're thinking that having a noble bloodline is the reason why children have 90 mana you've got another thing coming. The sole reason why humans are weak is that the average level is too low, the higher the level the longer the lifespan you'll have. But as you get stronger the harder it is to level up, you should know given your experience in grinding completely non-stop just to get a single level."

"Don't forget that every level comes with only 10 attribution points and adding the fact that they specialized in a single class but in the end majority of the human race tried to spread their points evenly to have a better chance of living another day if someone were to invest in one stat and by some chance got abandoned by their part if someone asked to see her stats and see how one-sided it is they'll have to quit being an adventurer."
He stared at Kronos with wide eyes unable to think of anything to comment on, Reiki thought. It's the same thing as playing a game. I made sure that I would be able to solo a dungeon even though it was slow compared to others in teams, yet I was still able to succeed more or less. Every time I saw a noob with their fucked up stat distribution I instantly felt disgusted by it, at least previously it was just a game you can delete the character and start again. But here you only get one chance, once you spent your points you're fucked up. It's as simple as that, wait-.
Wouldn't that mean that the reason why human health and mana are so low is because it takes the average of both our parents? And don't tell me this also applies to our stat points, no wonder humans were always at the bottom of each fantasy world. Assuming this claim also applied to manga and novels, this would at least be a somewhat concrete reason why humans were always weak with this, it doesn't really explain it.
"You seemed to be on the right track kid, but remember not all humans are born equal and you're the perfect example. Look at your stats and you can tell not everything is fair in this world either." Kronos said in a firm tone it's as if he's trying to tell me there's no such thing as equality in the world and there never would be. "Alright let's get to the part how leveling up affects your stats all being no matter what demi, elves, dwarfs, and humans every time they level up 1 attribute point is given to all his or her stat so every level if someone were to reach level 100 and never inserted a single point in intelligence even if he had 7 at level 1 if they somehow gained 100 level their intelligence would total at 107."
"This applies to all 5 stats but you on the other hand gain 2 per level and also applies to all 5 stats here's how hp and mana scale's over the levels right now at level 1 health 250 health due to your constitution plus 250 in stamina add over to 500 health but once you level up it will rise dramatically every level you gain you gain a fixed 60 health per level plus you're bonus attribute points then it turns your health will turn out like this…"
"I'm not going to bore you with all the math but consider how long it would take to get health and mana to get into the thousands, it would only appear at the upper levels of the '50s. Don't worry about your affinity with magic, we made sure you can use any type of magic but not to the point of suspicion, when you reach a higher level we'll put a vote on it and one final thing." Kronos pulls out a slot machine and continued. "You get three spins on their orders you don't get a saying in it, so let's see what lady luck has in store for you."
Reiki thought. A slot machine really? If I wanted to gamble, I would have gone to a casino. This was my first impression, but when I got a good look, it seemed odd for some reason. It's as if this thing is not really a slot machine, but something else. That the God that created this is strong far stronger than Kronos strong enough to make him look like an ant compared to who made this slot machine. "Three spins huh. Well, I might as well do it, no time like the present." As I sit down in front of it grab the lever and the slot started to spin and then *Cha-ching* *Cha-ching* *Cha-ching*. "Well, that's rare three sevens. Am I lucky or what?" I start to smile but I saw a status open up.

Kronos thought. Well well, looks like the kid is lucky God's eye, huh this skill is one of the few that's both active and passive.
"All right!!" Reiki shouts at the top of his lungs and thought. All right, my first OP skill and I still have two more tries. Reiki's smile was completely sinister if someone were to look at him they would use the word devilish with that smile plastered his face Reiki pulled the lever again and waiting in anticipation *Cha-ching* *Cha-ching* *Cha-ching* and Reiki thought. Another set of sevens lady luck you're too kind to me today. As his smile completely came across his face he made the devil himself look like a cute and innocent puppy with a closer look you can see his right eye had a hint of magic traces in it it was faint but you could sense it if you focused hard enough that is if you were a God
Knowledge Of The God's 『 Level 1 』
『 Passive 』

- Chantless Magic.

Kronos looked at Reiki in disbelief because he knew it was impossible to manipulate this slot machine, it could only give its rewards at completely random Reiki's next spin could kill him or make him into a god and possible just do nothing Kronos muttered. "Heh so this is our Black Horse, huh she was right this kid very interesting indeed."
Reiki smiled at this machine if this were a girl he'd fucked her so much from how happy he was because what this slot machine was giving him was godlike abilities and a bonus even showed up Reiki didn't even need to experience about chanting long lines of incantation you could easily be interrupted and be forced to start again but that last line he thought to himself. just like God's? With one final spin *Cha-ching* *Cha-ching* *Cha-ching* Another set of sevens at this point Reiki couldn't stop smiling, but the last thing completely puts him off it was a title?
The Devil's Luck 『 Equipped 』
Effects: ???
Activation: ???
Requirements: ???
Origin: ???
Kronos was deathly silent and thought. The Devil's Luck? What kind of title is that? I've never heard of it and I've lived for Eons… This kid… If there's a slim chance maybe. Just maybe he can kill them

Esper: Search for Power
Dan Martin has a good life. He's respected at his job, and enjoys his work. He is close to his family, and they love and support him. With engaging hobbies, relative financial security, and freedom to learn and pursue his interests, Dan is happy. So it's not particularly welcome when he's selected by an inscrutable and seemingly omnipotent System as a test subject. The downsides: All of this is insane and by any rational analysis he's gonna die. The upsides: Super powers, a cure for a physical disability that had limited him, and above all, so very much to learn (for as long as he can avoid dying). I am very much a beginner as an author, and any feedback or suggestions on how to improve would be deeply appreciated. Chapter releases should be daily for the first two weeks and sporadic after that as I use up my buffer. Please consider this work as a rough draft subject to revision and/or retcon. It is not only my first attempt at original story telling, but at world building and RPG style system design. The latter has been very difficult, even drawing on the brilliant work of many RPGs and LitRPGs for inspiration. Thank you to any willing to give a new story and a new writer a try!

Wild Steam
Get on a train. Head east. Get on a ship. Travel further east, in style. See some wonders of the world. Find what was lost. Find where home is. How hard is any of that?Well, for Jake Ranger, pretty damned hard. The world being a wild, crazy mess from a global altering event called the Shattering doesn’t help much. Nor does being a famous folk hero. That last one really sucks, because people always run up to famous heroes and beg them for help with all their problems. Then there are the actual outlaws and monsters. They don’t help much either. Mostly they just get in the way and make everything way worse. And in a world that is so screwed up decades after the Shattering, there is a lot of variety to both outlaw and monster. Then there are the more civilized, (read: sane), non-human folk, and good old humans as well. They all get along just spectacularly. Totally best friends, on every level, for life. Of course getting to the east coast is only half the battle. Once there, he must contend with the so-called “civilized people.” Then there’s the ship ride; pirates and sea monsters are a thing too, after all. Should have read the brochure. But when the chips are down, the bad guys are winning and the wild winds of chaos are blowing, it helps to have a fighter on your side. Even if he is a little wild. After all, that’s not really a problem. That’s what beautiful women and lots of gold is for. Proper motivation is always key to success. Welcome to a Steampunk, Wild West, Victorian era, Lovecraftian infested, fantasy, shoot ‘em up world. Complete with a slow build harem of badass beautiful women, crazy adventures, and fun, monstrous villains. Welcome to the world of Wild Steam. Do enjoy your stay.

Twoen
The struggle for an interesting game has been the story of my life for quite some time. Every game I find is either too easy, not interesting or too short. Luckily, my two brothers who match my level of skill, albeit in different areas, tend to spice things up. When I look at my older brother I have no idea how he gets anything done when he's such an idiot. Still it doesn't detract from my respect for him as a gamer, though maybe a little. When I look at my younger brother I marvel at the monster that my older brother and I created. Deadliness, craftiness and quiet, both in what he does and how he is. When it's just us three we tend to destory everything in our path. So normally we tend to compete rather than team. Although that isn't to say we're just good as individuals. When we work together our effectiveness multiplies rather than lowering. Well enough about us dorks. Anyway a new VR game came out, apparently in development for quite some time. Of course my older brother decided to drive out and buy three copies. What would this one be missing? Difficulty? Depth? Length? In any case I plan to reach the top before my brothers do. It was a competition after all. Twoen had all three things I normally yearn for in spades. Something I did not foresee. A keeper
