《INTO THE ARCHAILECT》CHAPTER 39

The Coliseum was a huge dome-like structure with black shinning walls on the inside and outside, the chairs were smooth and had a marble sort of look, arranged like the sits in a stadium. The chairs stared down to another large circular structure that had ten singular seats in a circle around it, the floor of the circular structure which would serve as a podium was the crest of the titan blade in red glowing color. The entire coliseum was filled to the brim, banners from all manners of sects both great and small, a few individual ascenders could be seen, advocates and acolytes alike also graced the seats.

From all over the world, those who could make it to Bastion did, the titan blade himself had announced it to the world. A gathering the likes of which the world had not seen since after the advent of the archailect, a meeting of every sect and power in their own right, those who had risen in defense of their planet, even seeing as Moyo had been able to draw the attention of the entire ten sects that had arrived on earth. The notable banners were the banners that hung around the ten chairs that were on the circular podium below, the first was the mountain with a shield and katana of the tian blade, the chair of the titan blade empty with no signs of the titan blade himself anywhere.

To the left sat the head of the Luminian theocracy, archbishop Matthew, the advocate sat in a golden priestly robe, in his hand was a silver staff that glowed with advocate-level strength. He had obtained it during the two-day training in the yellow zones as loot, it had the power to clear off the deadliest of courses and rain down what many had perceived to be holy power as he did against the whispering darkness to a very effective degree. Over at the seats, over a thousand ascenders wore the golden colors of the Luminian sect, the acolytes with a white sash around their necks sat above the initiates and fledglings that sat below.

The next chair sat Han, the lord, and ruler of Raju which had been rechristened the sect of the glorious empire. With his lush dark hair, Han wore a traditional martial artist robe, behind him hung a banner of a blazing cloud with a red dragon on it, a writing in mandarin with the meaning “glorious and strong” on it. Han had ascended to the rank of an advocate also during the two-day yellow zone training, his sect members wore distich martial artist robes, white for the fledglings, red for the initiates, and black for the few acolytes that sat above them. The next chair had a man with a full beard, brown skin, and a pagri, a type of turban worn by Hindi men on his head, this was the new leader of the city of Brahma.

After the mysterious disappearance of their queen Ira, Mrs. Martha had gathered the vice sect leaders of the titan blade clan, storming the city and with only their peak acolyte strengths had subdued the entire standing troops of the city. The generals of Ira, who had also been corrupt and vile like their despotic leader who had given them absolute control had tried to put up a fight as the acolytes they were also, it had been a beat down of epic proportions in the sight of all the citizens of Brahma. The vice sect leaders were more experienced and their paths were tailored for pure fighting as compared to the generals who had barely been leveraging their acolyte strength over their citizens who were mostly farmers and workers.

The generals had been brutalized and brought to their knees, the vice sect leaders stating their disapproval of executing the generals to Mrs. Martha, Brahma while under the continent of Asa and subject to the rules of the titan blade were not theirs to deal with. An acolyte power had blazed to light from within the multitudes of Brahma, a man whom the people began to chant his name, Devesh had turned out to be a rebel leader who had been on the run around the city, gathering followers against the cruel and iron fist Ira and her generals had used to rule Brahma. He had stepped forward, a Talwar, the traditional Indian type sword in hand along with his initiate supporters. One by one he had beheaded the generals much to the delight of the people, Mrs. Martha had noticed it was mostly the women who had been crying for joy, cementing the fact that the generals had committed atrocities.

After hours of deliberation, Devesh had become the ruler of Brahma, much to the delight of the citizens. Left to choose his court, the powers of clan titan blade had retreated, leaving Brahma to its issues. However, seeing as the conference would happen the next day, Devesh had been called along. The warriors of Brahma were the least strong of the sects around, and it was obvious by the looks the other sects had given them. Next to Devesh was a bulky man with red hair and beards, intricate tattoos had been recently drawn across the side of his face and he sported a wide smile as he looked around. Perun, the advocate of the winter’s rage, also known as the ice berserker sat. his contingent of acolytes and few initiates sat at the seats also, staring with eager eyes, looking for those who would challenge them.

The latest addition was an entirely new set of people whom the other sects and ascenders stared at curiously. Their metallic gleaming ship had appeared moving towards the continent of Asa and had been directed towards Bastion. They had called themselves the union, their banner bearing a single star carried by a giant golden eagle. The union was the remnant of what had been the United States of America, Mrs. Martha had been wary and curious of them seeing as their leader was an advocate, a level 80 advocate and his followers were acolytes with only two initiates. Wearing the military uniform of the United States with a few modifications such as a silver star on their chests, advocate frank had been given a sit below them also, the banner behind him. The next chair was occupied by William, the lord of the city sun valley, his advocate eyes glowing gold as his gaze was strictly on frank, as if seizing the man in the military attire up.

The remaining three chairs were empty, no banner flew behind them and the independent ascenders had declined the seats, obviously realizing what those chairs were signifying. The titan blade through Mrs. Martha had brought forth a proposition, with the looming threat of the return of the sects and more, power could not be contained on one continent, they had to have presences in all if not most of the continents, hence the spread of the powerful groups around the world. The advocates had all been too happy to move along with such a plan, preparing to transport their entire city to these respective continents they had chosen separately using a teleportation array. The cost alone was a staggering 50 diamond coins, a large chunk that would eat deeply into the reserves the groups had gathered from their time in Asa, but with a whole continent left to them, over time they would make that and more.

Of course, clan titan blade could foot the bill without flinching, their diamond coins filled an entire bank vault and overflowed, but none of the groups or sects outside of the sect leaders belonging to the clan knew of the operation the hands of Anansi had undertaken against the invading sects, for all purposes Bastion was broke from over giving and Mrs. Martha wanted to strengthen that narrative, better to let your rivals and enemies underestimate you than for them to know your true strength. The entire coliseum was filled with voices murmuring and voices, the advocates below whispering to each other, already groups were being formed, the old political methods of the earth coming to the forefront again, proving the fact that no matter how much humanity was threatened with extinction, they would revert to their old ways.

Han was the only one willing to talk with frank from the union, everyone else casting wary glances at the man. The union, with their current strength, could have participated in the battle against the invaders, it was obvious they had learned from the message Moyo had broadcasted and had reaped rewards in the bountiful judging by their strengths, the union had not even let the world be aware of their existence, stepping forward now as a powerhouse to claim the same north American continent they once held, also claiming the entire landmass of Canada along with it. No one was willing to contest it with them, the land mass alone was too large for one group to hold and whatever way the union decides to hold it, it was their business. The glorious empire had watched their continent split, tearing chunks away to join with a new continent the archailect had brought along, luckily this settled the issue they would have needed to settle with Brahma who wanted their old homeland also that had also been separated and had been joined with a new mini continent, increasing the landmass of the continent that would belong to Brahma.

William would be claiming what had formerly been the United Kingdom, having the physique of the British and being British by blood, no one contested with him. Perun would be claiming the gigantic icy Russian continent to himself seeing as it had split up from Asia itself, the advocate that had been spending his time going from dungeon to dungeon, seeking to increase his level and ascend as quickly as possible to expert in order to battle the titan blade on equal footing. The continents had been shifted closer with barely an ocean between them, the earth’s body of water now surrounding the landmasses. Only a large piece of land would separate the continent of Asa being held by clan titan blade and the glorious empire as well as the icy continent of Perun which would soon be called the federation. On the other side of the world, divided by water was the Luminian theocracy, holding a portion of Europe, sharing a land space with the mysterious union.

Only the Bharat empire shared a space with the last two continents that had no significant or known advocate or group presence and as such the three chairs left were for future purposes. The map of the new world was displayed on a holographic platform, courtesy of another display item that had been bought from the archailects store known as the warehouse on Bastion. The sects of the clan titan blade also sat on the stands, but instead of them sitting by their respective sects, they all intermingled, the sect leaders themselves sitting together. Mrs. Martha had wanted to prove a point, to show that the sects that were under the clan titan blade were not singular entities but an amalgamation of powers, each capable enough to hold a territory also but decided to join forces into what was now the clan.

Everyone was subtly staring in the direction of Bastion, waiting for when Moyo would show himself. Annika sighed as she turned again on her chair,

“You sure he’s going to show up?” she asked,

“He did call the meeting” Ayo replied,

“Oh, he will, he’s just taking his time” Mrs. Martha replied with a chuckle,

Annika squinted her eyes at the woman,

“You know something,” she said accusingly,

Idris snorted as Mr. Boyle shook his head,

“When doesn’t she know something?” Boyle said,

“Indeed, knowing things is my job, the protection of Bastion and the clan as a whole is my priority” Mrs. Martha replied,

“doesn’t explain why I kept sensing one of your spider people around my private quarters all the way at the citadel,” Idris said,

“a hand? at the citadel? I had no idea” Mrs. Martha replied,

“Uh-huh, yeah, sure, whatever you say your creepiness,” Idris said as they laughed, people glancing at them from the corner of their eyes,

“Guess who just went up on my naughty list, tell that aminat girl I said hi, nice girl, got you wrapped around her fingers, “Mrs. Martha said as Idris’s eyes went wide,

“Aminat huh?” Annika said waggling her eyebrows,

“let’s not discuss such…delicate issues here,” Idris said weakly as the rest laughed,

They had wanted to continue ribbing Idris when they all felt the oppressive wave of power that everyone knew to be the titan blade appearing from the platform below. No one below had sensed him as he arrived among them, like one minute he wasn’t there and the next he was. The entire coliseum became dead silent, the advocates who sat below on the chairs had their eyes wide open, even frank from the union couldn’t contain his astonishment at the strength of the expert rank ascender in their front. Moyo woke the cloak with the emblem of the clan brightly emblazoned on it, in his right hand was his katana dominion, his purple eyes shining as he took them all in, pausing for a minute on frank before passing on. Mrs. Martha smiled a little at the game Moyo was playing, the titan blade was showing future allies or enemies the strength of the man who stood at the peak of the clan, and the funny thing was, he was no longer the only one in the clan at that peak.

Moyo nodded in the direction of the advocates, turning to the stand, he bowed at the waist before standing upright again,

“It has barely been less than two months or more since the power known as the archailect arrived on our world” he started,

“Our lives were turned upside down, families were torn apart, entire cultures were erased from existence, and humanity was reduced to but a tiny fraction of what it once was,” he said,

Moyo drew his katana from its scabbard, letting the blade gleam in the sunlight as attention was drawn to the expert rank aura it emitted,

“We were left with little instructions than to grow stronger and survive, get better or lose our world entirely to intergalactic colonizers” he continued,

With arms wide, he looked around the coliseum,

“But look at us now, powers in our own rights and the strength to defend our world from those same colonizers,” he said as the ascenders roared as one,

“However, we face a predicament now. They would return, and in greater forces, that’s why we need to spread out, to hold more continents and landmass, to help those in those places to grow stronger as quickly as possible. It was in that decision, I, along with all the great powers that stepped up during our world’s time of need have decided to hold strategic points in our world that had now come closer to each other” he continued,

“Clan titan blade, along with its sects and whosoever wants to join us would hold the continent of Asa” Moyo intoned,

Nodding to the rest of the advocates who sat close to him, they took it up from there,

“The Luminian order would hold continent 1, it would rule as the Luminian theocracy,” archbishop Matthew said as the gold robed wearing sect members clapped politely,

“The stronghold Raju would move to continent 3 and hold it together under the banner of the glorious empire,” Han said as his sect members roared,

“Perun of the wandering tribes would hold continent 2 as a joint force known as the federation,” Perun said as his followers just merely stared on with cold looks in their eyes, Moyo sighed, they were a hard bunch,

“The city of Bharat would claim continent 4 under the name of the Bharat empire,” Devesh said as his citizens clapped,

“The city of sun valley would take the mini continent 6 and hold it as the imperial empire…not much of one with its size though,” William said as his people clapped and the crowed laughed good-naturedly,

Frank from the union stood up, nodding to Moyo with no expression on his face,

“First of all, the union would like to apologize for not coming to the aid of humanity during their greatest time of need, we were facing our crisis and couldn’t spare any hands from our limited resources,” he said,

Mrs. Martha raised an eyebrow at the blatant lie she knew, not that anyone else apart from her and Moyo knew, but the union had long since conquered their crisis. They had been sending expeditions into their yellow zones to grow stronger as their members hit acolytes in the green zones. Moyo also nodded at frank, no indication on his face at the blatant lie the man told,

“The union hold continent 7, we would defend it to the last man” he finished as people clapped accordingly

Moyo turned back to the crowd,

“That leaves three unclaimed continents, but with us holding seven, we could in time have enough powers to hold the three remaining ones. With that said, we need acolytes and advocates from the independent numbers to please try creating strongholds and towns all across the continents. Dungeon cores are not an issue and the great powers can supply them bountifully, on their own terms of course, but they will, for the sake of humanity” he said, glancing at the advocates around him.

“We face dark days ahead people, and the only way to survive is by getting stronger, the archailect has no mercy for the weak, only the strong thrive in it and humanity is not weak,” he said finishing as he sat down,

The entire pavilion stood up as they clapped, and chants of the name titan blade filled the air, the entire coliseum broke out in different discussions as the groups and sects slowly drifted around, sensing the meeting was coming to a close. Moyo raised his hand, with a pulse of his authority dragged the attention back to himself, watching as they all turned to him. He smiled at them,

“With that said, the great powers have decided to host a…. sort of festival, to mark the liberation of our planet, the day has been set as the liberation day, and in honor of that, we would like to host an exhibition tournament, a fighting tournament,” he said as everyone roared,

“So, we ask that anyone who wishes to test their might against each other should step forwards, the exhibition matches would start In a week, assuming, of course, our invaders don’t show up, and even if they do, well,” he said as they all laughed at the meaning at the end of the sentence,

‘And the final fights of the tournament would be the sect leaders battling against each other, and finally, all of them against me” he said as the crowd broke out into loud conversations,

Moyo smiled in the direction of his clan in the stands, seeing them a nod before turning back to the advocates behind him. With a brief flex of power, calling on his authority, he activated his real around them and shut off sound from escaping or entering his realm. His smile left his face as he stared at them with the full seriousness of an expert, frank of the union took a step back,

“So, great powers, I believe it’s time we talk about what’s coming,” Moyo said.
